I love my new shirt. Size is perfect and fabric so soft. Fit is great. Sleeves are not too long.Washes well. Just the right warmth for this climate on our coldest days in southern california.

Soft and very, very warm. I tried both medium and large and chose large because I liked the look of a big shirt, but this was just a matter of taste. I'm broad in the middle, shirt size somewhere between medium and large, and this medium was not too small. I love the Stewart Victoria--different from my other flannel shirt plaids, somehow reminds me of my childhood.

Fabric soft and comfortable. I'm 5'7" 155lbs and usually wear large tops, glad I purchased a medium because it fits loose. Bought the black/green plaid, will buy another color.

Great flannel shirt except its a little big. I am 5'6" and 130lbs and ordered a small. Next flannel I order is going to be an xsmall. Shirt is very lose and doesn't cling to by torso but I would like it to feel like a shirt and not a tunic. Regardless still love the shirt and will wear with a long sleeve and comfy leggings!

Been searching for a "good" flannel shirt for a few months. Most are thin flannel wannabes. Decided to look at LL Bean as I have never ordered from them before. The flannel for these shirts has a nice weight to it. Not the heaviest but more substantial than others I have looked at. Ordered both the 2X and 3X since I know not every size fits the same between manufacturers. The 2X fit but was shorter than I liked. Also, without a pleat or shirring at the bottom of the back yolk, movement is somewhat limited. The 3X is much more roomy and is longer. I didn't measure the difference in length between the two. I did measure the distance between the buttons, 4-1/2 inches, which is way too much. My girls are not that big and I had to use a safety pin between the buttons to hold both sized shirts together. 3 to 3-1/2 inches between buttons would've held the shirt together nicely. And speaking of buttons, when I opened the Princess Mary there was a button hanging on by a single thread. It came off as I was pressing the shirt. So quality control needs to be a little more careful. All in all I like the shirts. Would like them so much better if there was some tweaking in the design for easier movement and placement of the buttons.

I loved the flannel shirt. It's absolutely perfect in every way other than the plaid does not match down the side seams. For the price of the shirt there is no excuse for this oversight. I would have purchased another for a Christmas present but didn't because of the side seams.

I like this shirt: warm, soft, well-made. I especially like that it has a pocket (often missing from women's shirts) & is long enough to stay tucked in when I sit down. If I could change one thing, it would be to put the second button higher up. When the first is unbuttoned, the shirt opens about 3.5 inches below my collarbonea little too far, for a shirt designed to be worn in cold weather.

I really expected a heavier weight flannel in these shirts, but the weave is nice and close - not loose and weak, like so many are these days. It should be fairly durable. The fabric is soft and warm, especially when layered with a turtleneck. I machine wash them in cold water, then hang to dry.

Runs a little small I think but feels great after you cut out all the tags in the back and side.

I've tried less expensive plaid shirts and, at least in this case, you don't get what you don't pay for. This shirt, on the other hand, has rich color and doesn't shrink after washing. It's cold, cold, cold for weeks on end where I live, but it's often too warm inside, so I wear this shirt with a sweater under by down coat and then the shirt alone is usually all I need inside. My only wish is that this shirt had more cheerful color choices.

I LOVE this shirt and bought two of them last year. I bought the exact size and item this year in a different color. Disappointed. The top button ( on the relaxed and slim- fit) has been changed and is significantly lower. Thus my neck is much colder. I have a handicap and can't get turtlenecks over my head. That or a T-shirt would help. Not sure if I'll send it back. I love the cozy fabric and color. Just don't like the draft and less modesty. Could you add another button at the top?

These shirts are warm, stylish, and everything you would want in a flannel. I've washed it a handful of times and the color hasn't changed at all. My only problem is it seems to attract lint, I washed it according to the care tag but it still happens, (I'm open to suggestions as to how to cure this if anyone has any!) Size is true, I find it a little long but I like mine a little longer, it comes down to the top of my jeans' pocket. The sleeves fit properly. I was a little concerned that relaxed would be too big/boxy but it isn't at all. It's perfect.

I had bought a Signature plaid flannel shirt and the sewing quality was excellent, especially as the plaid matches everywhere! So I bought the Relaxed Plaid, expecting the same quality. It is comfortable and I have received compliments, but the plaid doesn't match.

Great petite sized flannel that actually fits! Warm and cozy, but tailored for a small body!

As one reviewer commented, the button placement is a little odd in that if you don't have it buttoned all the way up, the second button falls in a way that makes the shirt/collar kind of ride up, and you have to keep pulling it down a bit to avoid the collar pulling up and back from your neck. However, it isn't enough of a nuisance to annoy me so much that I don't like the shirt. The quality of the flannel is great, and the prints and colors are just so classic! I love flannels, and am happy to have added three of these to my collection.

I have purchased several of these shirts over many years and keep going back for more. The relaxed fit is perfect and the fabric is wonderful. Sizing is normal. The workmanship is top notch with one major exception which is why I gave a rating of 4 stars. The plaid does not match at the side seams. The front of the shirt is perfectly matched. This is major since it is very noticeable. Having sewn many clothes in years past the first thing I learned is matching patterns or plaids. Its an easy thing to do especially the side seams. My suggestion, since I'm not the only reviewer to mention this, is someone in quality control correct the cut of the fabric. For the price of these shirts it should be expected the plaid match. Funny thing,in the new TV commercial showing the man with a vacuum cleaner wearing a plaid flannel shirt you can clearly see the side seams don't match. Maybe I'm the only one who noticed that but I thought I'd mention it :)

What happened to the button down collar. I have 4 of these and love them, however the button down collar is gone this year. Very disappointed, the shirts with the split collar just look sloppy and when wearing them in deep winter under a sweater and heavy coat the button down collar keeps it in place ,there is no twisted or scrunched uncomfortable collar under the heavy clothes. Please bring it back after all it is the classic LLBean flannel shirt.

I bought two of these shirts, one in the black watch color and one in the "Wallace" red. There is no princess seaming which one or two reviewers seemed confused about. This is a relaxed shirt and as such, I was able to order a size down. (I am 5'2" and a bit chubby in the middle.) A medium fit fine. The material is soft and substantial for a flannel. I want to be warm this winter (we do have snowy weather) and am trying to collect tops that are cozy and comfortable. Most blouses in stores are polyester, rayon, or light cotton. I can wear this shirt alone or with a tee underneath. Yesterday I wore a long sleeved tee and was very comfortable. The sleeves come to my wrists which doesn't always happen for me as I have long arms despite being a short person. The length of the shirt completely covers my rear and there was little or no shrinkage. (I washed the shirt 3 times so far.) It comes out of the dryer looking great. So far there is no pilling, but time will tell with that. I took off one star because, as others have said, the plaid doesn't match at the seams, but as I am wearing this shirt in very casual circumstances, I am okay with that. I'm just happy to be warm. The shirt looks great with jeans, skinny pants, and leggings.

The fabric is substantial, the plaid is attractive, but the plaids do not match at any seams...not the sides, not the back yoke. In the lighter weight plaid shirt the plaid is set on the diagonal on the yoke as a design feature. This isn't a cheap shirt, and I would have paid a bit more and kept it if a little more fabric was used to match the seams. I don't keep things I don't love, so it's going back. As with others, I miss the women's chamois shirts which are no longer available...I don't want a chamois tunic or lined jacket and I will not settle for a man's shirt which doesn't fit.

This shirt is so soft and snuggly! The material is great, as is the design. I so wanted it to fit but, unfortunately, it's gigantic on my 5'2" frame, even in a Petite XS. The arms are the perfect length, but there is way too much material in the upper arm area. Maybe if you have large muscles or an athletic build? I'd also say the shirt is wider (boxier) than I thought it would be. I know it's a relaxed fit, but it must've been too relaxed for me. Such a shame because I know if it did fit, it would be hard for me not to wear it every day. :)

I bought two of these last year and three of them this year..yes, I love my flannel. The fabric this year seems softer but I noticed the shirt is a big bigger around, longer arms, slightly shorter, and no button down on the collar. I have washed the new ones twice now and the fabric just keeps getting softer, as opposed to last years shirts which pilled. Hoping the new ones shrink just a bit as I continue to wash them.
