As a senior living in a damp climate, it feels like the cold actually seeps into my bones. There's nothing like a good quality flannel shirt - coupled with a t-shirt underneath - to warm those bones. I selected the Stewart Victoria plaid, and it's gorgeous. I ordered one size up to insure I'd have plenty of room to wear it layered with a t-shirt. The shirt arrived last week, I took it out of the bag, and promptly put it on. My husband said the other day, "Haven't you been wearing that shirt a lot?" He's right. It's being thrown into the wash tonight. But I just can't bear parting with it for 24 hours! (I always air-dry my flannel shirts to avoid any possibility of shrinkage.) Yes, you may pay more for a good quality flannel shirt, but it's worth every penny because of the additional warmth and the longevity of the garment.

I love the shirt. It is just what I wanted for the fall and it is perfect. I bought a larger size so I could wear a.light sweater under it.

I've purchased one of these each year for the last several years. Most of the time, I wear them as a second layer over a turtleneck. I do also wear them when I need a lightweight bit of warmth over a short sleeve shirt. The shirt wears and washes well. The colors are very nice and I think I may now have all of them.

These shirts are awesome! Worth the price, far better than any cheap flannel shirt. Quality fabric; soft and comfortable. They wash up great too! I had one in the Navy Tartan, loved it, so I got another in the Black Watch plaid. I wear them with jeans, and sometimes with my pajama jeans as sleep shirts. Perfect for those cold days out hiking or just cozy-ing up inside.

I purchased this shirt more for the particular color, but I am so impressed with the comfort! This must be the softest shirt ever made. It fits nicely and is a beautiful color, as well. This is definitely going to be my go-to shirt for the winter season this year and probably for years to come!

soft, warm, comfortable, not snug... best thing to wear all fall and winter especially outdoors under a vest or jacket.

My only hope would be to change the hem to a scoop(shirttail hem), for a little bit better coverage and overall shape for a woman. I think it would also be wonderful to see an elastic gathering at the sides too, so it'll have give to fit various size women, but will also serve the curves! (give it a little more of a feminine flair - remove the boxiness that serves to make women look heavier, but keeping it practical at the same time). Thanks for listening! :)

This product is well made, with all the plaids matching. The fabric is soft and holds up beautifully in the wash. Great shirt for the fall and will be perfect for layering this winter.

I bought two of these shirts and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone wanting a very high quality plaid shirt that has a relaxed (rather than tapered) fit. The yarn dyed classic plaids are rich in color and are perfectly proportioned for me--I am short and take petite sizes. The sleeves are just the right length. I wear the shirts over a tee and not tucked in with jeans, khakis or perfect fit pants. Very practical and cozy.

The flannel shirt is soft and comfortable. The red/gray plaid is pretty. It does have a few pills after one wash, but I think that's a quality to be expected in flannel.

Love the feel and fit of this flannel. It's very comfortable and soft and wearing well so far through several washes. My only complaint is that I wish it were about an inch longer as I like things to be a little long, but other than that it's great!

Years ago when my folks had a cabin up north on the lake, the family all wore plaid flannel shirts. Wanting to recapture those moments, I bought this LLBean shirt. It is fantastic! Love the plaid, the softness of the flannel, the length of the tails, and the straight fit. I have bulges! I refuse to wear trim, body clinging clothes. I can wear it alone buttoned or with a turtle under it unbuttoned. I have trouble with fall/winter shirts because so many of them are fitted. This is the perfect shirt for our Minnesota fall/winter season. Thanks!

I DEPEND on these shirts. They are the perfect weight for wearing over a short-sleeved shirt when a sweater would be too much. The relaxed fit is roomy enough for an over-shirt. Thank you for the petite sizing. I have short arms and the regular sleeves droop around my hands. These are the first items I check when the catalog arrives, and if a new tartan appears, I am quick to order it. They are part of my "uniform" and cannot be found anywhere else these days. I have never in my life owned a plaid shirt. I've never really thought of them as particularly attractive. However, after seeing all the rave reviews, I decided to see what all the hype was about. I purchased the Navy Tartan and this shirt is beautiful (as plaid can be) and extremely soft and cozy. I like the fit, roomy but still cut for a woman's curves. Our autumns and winters here in Florida are not severely cold, but this shirt is substantial and I'm sure it could stand up to some pretty frigid temps. I ordered an XL so that I could use it as a light jacket and wear it with a long-sleeved t-shirt underneath. If I were going to wear it buttoned up and tucked in, a Large would have definitely sufficed (for reference, I'm 5'9"; 165lbs; 36DD). If you are on the fence about this shirt - take the plunge and buy it - you won't be sorry!

Love this shirt. Fits great, Washes well in cold water and dries in normal hot setting. Best part...I spilled red chili on it and I didn't notice. Wiped it off and continued to wear the shirt for three straight days.

Have 3 in Petite Small- ( Regular SMALL ) run Big for 5'4" and 118lb small frame.. Love them, wash well, warm and look great. Good purchase !

I loved the colors in this shirt. Unfortunately, when I tried it on, it was barely long enough. I feared that once I washed it, I would be too short. I reluctantly returned it.

I love the color and fabric however I should have gotten a size medium as the sleeves and overall length were short. Especially the sleeves. I'm 5'4. 118 lbs. bought a size small. I will still wear it but am disappointed that it was a wee bit small!

I have quite a few LLB flannel shirts. This is one of my favorites, because of the colors. FYI, I ordered the regular size L first (my usual size), but the sleeves were way too long and it was too big overall. The petite (which is often too short in the sleeves and tight in the shoulders) fit perfectly for this particular shirt.

I really like LL Bean heavy flannel shirts and have several. The fit is great, feels great and wears well. I also like that the pocket is almost invisible thanks to some precision placement. I don't like having to remove the labels from the neck because they irritate.

Good quality, soft and warm. I'm 5'5 128 lbs and bought a petite XS because I wanted something more form fitting and comes up to waist. Everything is great except for the sleeves, super short on me. But what did I expect

Very nice colors and it fits well. It is great to find petite clothing with the right length arms! However, I have ancient Bean flannels that are much better quality.

Colors are very pretty. I like the heft and feel of the flannel. Wish it was cut just a tiny bit wider through the body, because I like wearing flannel shirts over a t-shirt; I could probably have sized up, but I didn't want the sleeves to be too long, so I'm keeping it.
