This flannel is always comfy, I get a new one every year for the sole reason I feel like I can never have enough. My only recommendation is to air-dry, not dry in the dryer, because little fuzzies start to show up on the outside of the flannel.

Was pleased to find this shirt fit well, was relaxed, but not a "manly" looking shirt, i.e not too boxy. After first washing, even softer. Colors are rich and deep. Also purchased another in the Gray Stewart plaid, also beautiful colors. These shirts will layer well over a T shirt or sleeveless turtleneck.

This is exactly what I want in a flannel shirt--hefty fabric, roomy fit, long enough to cover my back and hips, has a pocket (and no flap, which makes it much easier for me to put my glasses or phone in the pocket all the time), button down collar, good workmanship. Thank you, Bean. My only request is to please offer this shirt in pastels, to coordinate with the travel shirts and the washed oxfords you sell.

I love my flannel! I ordered 3 of them. They are a nice quality flannel. The material is more substantial than other brands out there. Of course, with LLBean, the quality is always outstanding. They do run true to size. I ordered the Medium. For reference, I am 5'4", 160lbs. I usually wear clothing sizes of 10 pants, M-L shirts. The medium is perfect! Not to big or too small. I have enough room around the shoulders and bust area when I move, where I don't feel like I will pop a button. I would definitely recommend!

I put on my new soft and cozy LL Bean shirt this morning, it's comfy and great for cool weather. I was sorting old photos and came across a picture of my Dad. The plaid in his shirt looked familiar; surprise... I picked out the same traditional plaid he wore years ago. That makes me even warmer!

This is the 1st Scotch Plaid shirt I've ordered for me. (I've ordered the men's version several times as gifts.) I am very pleased with the petite fit and the soft flannel fabric. As a seamstress, I also appreciate the efforts made to match the plaid across the garment. The shirt washes well and does not need ironing - although it looks even more polished when ironed. I was so pleased with this shirt that I ordered a second!!

I love the soft flannel and relaxed fit of this shirt. It doesn't have the seam tucks to add the so-called hour glass look to my figure. At 69 I just don't have that figure anymore and my main concern is just pure comfort which I get with this shirt. For me it is a perfect fit and the sleeves aren't too long like on the new styles. I always wear it with a long sleeve llbean tee or mock neck. I am 5'8" and 160 pounds. I purchased a large size but I also have a couple in extra large. I have all of these plaid shirts. LLBean, PLEASE make this style shirt with some more plaids since I have all of these already.

This is the first flannel shirt I have purchased through L. L. Bean. I love it! It is thick, warm, and soft. I have enjoyed the Scotch Plaid look. It is perfect for our winter weather. I have enjoyed it so much that I ordered a second one.

OK I am setting out to write the review I could not find when I read the reviews for this shirt. I am middle-aged and have upper arm girth to deal with and I am also 5'8" with a broad back. My bust is 38B and I am 170 pounds and the issue I have with shirts these days are the sleeves not fitting or not being able to reach for stuff without that pulling feeling across my back and the sleeves riding up. I have none of these issues with this shirt. I ordered size large and it is a bit too roomy at the bottom but the sleeves are long enough, the back is broad enough and zero shrinkage with washing. I ordered the Grey Stewart, I think that is what it is called, and it is beautiful. The flannel is fuzzy and thick and warm. Will I win a fashion contest with this shirt? No but to me this is everything I flannel shirt should be.

Love this shirt. Fabric is good quality, plaids match on the sides, double stitch seams and it is so warm.

I've purchased two of these this year so far. I'm 5'4 weight 137 and wear an XS. These shirts do run big. I like putting this shirt on after I get out of my LL Bean Flannel Sheets because it still sort of feels like I am in bed.

This is a great addition. It's warm and can be worn as an over shirt or jacket in cool weather, or just as a shirt on its own. Wonderfully soft, warm fabric. Washes really well. It does run a bit large, but I like my shirts to be big.

Now I have five of these warm comfy shirts. I think that they are of good design and a good cut. On cool days I wear them over another shirt, usually a cotton knit shirt with or without sleeves. I am tending toward short as i am getting older... so now at just over five three inches, the petite medium fits me best.

This is the third flannel shirt I've ordered from Bean's and the prettiest. Black Watch has always been a favorite pattern and this is true. I haven't washed it yet but it feels soft and the fit is good. So glad to have relaxed fit available.

Love this Scotch Plaid Shirt. Looks great worn over my tee shirts. I sometimes wear a medium size but after reading reviews, I ordered a small. It fits great and the sleeve length is perfect. Good light weight shirt.

This shirt fit true to size. The fabric was far superior to any others we looked at. The fabric did not shrink with washing and drying in dryer.

I ordered the relaxed fit last year in the grey stewart in my normal size medium (5'8"/120lbs) but than exchanged it for a small. In my opinion these run a full size larger than normal. It's a very good quality. Thick, soft, cozy flannel. The grey stewart is a classy, goes with everything color. I will be ordering my all time favorite Blackwatch this year. I'd love to see the muted dress stewart from several years ago brought back. (It was a tan version). Love the traditional scotch plaids!

So, I have 4 of these shirts, some I've had for years and years. Just bought the Gray Stewart and now that I've got all the Stewart colors--I can hear the bagpipes playing! The fit, construction, and materials haven't changed one single bit. These shirts are phenomenal - wear them with layers, wear them with fleece vests, wear them, wear them walking the dog, wear them--just wear them! "Ye wull nae regret buying th' flannel sark"

I love this shirt. I bought 4 of them in different plaids. I like to wear them over a knit shirt, that way If I get to hot I can take it off. I go to Washington state alot and the weather can be cold and damp in the morning but warm up later in the day.

So glad to have this petite shirt; great relaxed fit. This is my second LL Bean flannel shirt. I like the fabric and enjoy wearing them as a layer in Fall and Winter.

I am embarrassed to say I own six. (One color -- a black and white -- doesn't exist anymore, which is a shame.) I wear them over a turtleneck or T-shirt like a sweater, with the shirttail out. I got so many so I will be set for life! So many shirts (and COATS) for women these days don't have enough material across the upper back at the shoulder blades. Fine for posing on a fashion runway but too skimpy for doing outdoor chores or even the dishes! This shirt has it exactly right.
