I purchased the petite small. I'm 5' and weigh 110 lbs. They fit well and they're nicely tailored. Pants have pockets which was a nice surprise. My only complaint is that the flannel isn't very soft and has gotten very pilly - particularly the pants - after just a few wears and washes. Overall I like them especially the fit but for the price I'd like a softer sturdier flannel.

Flannel Pajamas are warm but the sizes are way off . I bought 2 pair of the same size and color in Angus color and both fit different. Much bigger than my older pajamas I got a couple years ago . I will buy a smaller size to see if they will fit better. I love LL Bean flannel pajamas for the comfort as I wear them all day long at home.

I have never had an item of clothing that produced so much lint everywhere - even after multiple washings and dryings. (And handfuls of dryer lint).
The pajamas are comfortable, but I would not consider ordering another pair. Just not worth all the hassle.

So I ordered these for my mother, and she really was happy when she got them. After a couple of days we both started to notice the large amount of pilling especially on the knees. After the first wash it was amazing how much fabric was left on the dryer filter! I'm a bit disappointed with this product, as I expect better from LLBean, especially at this price point. Customer service recommended I wash them 5-6 times to see if they pilling stops, I'm concerned there won't be any fabric on the knees at that point. Of course they can be returned, but I didn't purchase them to return them.

Nice pajamas. Be aware that they shrink significantly when you wash them. I got a medium tall as I am 5 foot eight and about 155 pounds. After washing them only once, following the instructions, the sleeves and overall pant size shrunk. Will likely contact L.L. Bean for a replacement.

I really wanted to like this and did love the fabric and pants fit fine, comfortably loose even, but the top was too tight across the bust. I am not big busted and arm length and shoulders were actually a little big so was afraid to go up to a large so just returned them.

I always buy a large...this large was too small. I really need an extra large and it is too much of a hassel for me to send it back as I am not going out of my house with Covid. So my expensive flannel pajamas sit in a drawer...

Trust the reviews that say these pajamas are too tight in the shoulders. I tried both the large and x-large and both pulled across the shoulders and under the arms. Nice soft substantial flannel though.

I had this very old pair of hand me down LL Bean PJs from ages ago that I absolutely LOVED, they were like the symbol of Winter for me-so cozy and warm. Unfortunately the bottoms ripped and so I had been saving up to treat myself and buy a brand new pair. I never write reviews but I just need to share that this quality of flannel is a serious downgrade from the previous kind. I put the pants in the washer and dryer and the lint collector filled up like crazy. Even worse, I was so excited to wear them anyway that the house collected with little grey fuzzy balls everywhere because these pants wouldn't stop shedding! Determined to have a better fate for the top, I washed it three times exactly per the instructions on the tag, and hung to dry. The piling on the top is just as bad. I was hopeful that this would stop after a few washes but the flannel seems to have a mind of it's own. I'm afraid I may need to return these as I don't know how much grey fuzz this apartment can handle! I'm just so sad because the flannel is still so warm and cozy =(

For the price of these PJs, after washing according to directions on the label, they must have lost half of the fabric in washer. I like these pjs but it is a good thing I washed them separately or my clothes would have been full of lint. Had to first shake them before putting in the dryer, then a load of lint in the lint bin when dried. Where does this fabric come from? CHINA?

I loved the super soft flannel, and the quality. And the top was perfect. i bought the Medium Tall and i loved that the top fit me and was super comfy and long enough.
But the PJ bottoms were huge! They made me look 5 sizes larger than i am. The side pockets make hips look wider, combined with the wide legs -- while i told myself its just pajamas and that doesn't matter if they are comfortable, they were so outrageously big I had to return them.

I really hoped these would fit me, but the bottoms were way too tight in the hips. As a reference point, I consistently wear a 24 in Lane Bryant curvy fit or T3 fit jeans, so I thought 3X (24/26) would be fine, but no go. Unfortunately, I run into this problem with a lot of pants. Guess I'll have to continue the search.

I am so used to pajamas being comfy and having a little give, so I just assumed these had a little spandex since they were pjs. I was wrong! Expensive mistake. No give at all in these. I just thought I would warn anyone who thought they did. They do seem like good quality. Just not for me.

These soft flannel PJs are really nice except they are too big. The pants were 7-1/2" too long for myself. Thankfully, I know how to sew, so I altered them. Also, the sleeves of the top are too long for myself as well. I decided to just fold the cuffs up so the sleeves don't go past my wrists. There isn't any info on the sizing chart about the length of the pants or the sleeves. This information should be provided for all future buyers. I'm disappointed in this purchase.

I have four pair of these PJs. I love them. My only disappointment is that the top of one of the pairs I purchased last year just ripped. It's so odd as they ripped in the material and not on a seam - so I can't fix them. Love these PJs - but disappointed! I am tall and the tall PJs are perfect.

On the good side the fit is true to size and are comfortable. The bad side is they pile terribly. I would not purchase again.

The pajamas are great, except they are shedding terribly. Have washed them twice separately with no improvement. First time ever that I have been disappointed in LLBean.

I love your flannel pjs in the winter. But, I prefer just old plain cotton flannel. The material in this year's pj product is brushed giving it more of a polyester feel.

I wear a M but bought a L to have roomy PJs. These are oddly sized. The bottoms were huge, like an XLT. I don't mind that. Hey, pajamas. But the top was small. Who is built like that? Not me. I would say the top might be a S or M size, cut boxy for PJs. The arms are narrow and the fit is rather tight. Not comfy at all for lounging. Like wearing a dress shirt for lounging. Also, not a lot of chest room for a woman. The flannel quality is nice. Too bad the cut is so off.

Love the flannel fabrics over the years, from the heavier weight to the very much lighter weight. Would be nice to see the weight of the fabric listed again so one knows what is being purchased. Huge differences over the years. Have worn L L Bean pjs for decades, but the last few years I've sent back products because the sides' plaids no longer match as they used to, sign of a top quality product...even in the pictured products the sides of the tops and bottoms don't match!!! So disappointing for the reputation of L L Bean. Just luck of the draw to get the better quality items.

Have purchased this item and the past and am a fan
This pair had to be returned because of a sloppy monogram. Had what looked like glue on it . I called to discuss and it seemed over the head of the cs rep. Hopefully reorder in mail does the trick .

The quality of these is great. They're soft and warm. The pants even have pockets which is a great touch. The sleeves are a bit short which I'm neutral on. On one hand they don't get wet when I wash my hands or get dirty if I wear my pajamas while making breakfast but on the other hand my hands and wrists get cold while I'm sleeping.
The big problem is the sizing. I ordered my regular size. The pants are huge. They're so big I have to cinch down the waist with the drawstring or they'll fall off, so much for a stretchy elastic waist. The top has the opposite problem. The shoulders and arms are undersized compared to the torso so I can't put my arms in front of me without the fabric being super tight. It's not comfortable to sleep in. Even just bending my arms at the elbow pulls the fabric. What is the current obsession with women's clothing having tight arms and shoulders. It's uncomfortable!
Please give us some room to move like you do with men's clothes. I know I didn't order the wrong size because of how huge the pants are and it's not that my chest is throwing off the sizing because I've had a double mastectomy and my chest it flat. I wish they sold these with the tops and bottoms separate. I might get the men's version in order to have normal arm and shoulder space although it'll mean altering the pants and shortening the top and sleeves. Argh, why did they ruin what would have been awesome pajamas with trendy sizing? Nobody is checking out my shoulder definition when I sleep. Just make sleepwear comfortable!

Love the black watch pattern & sizing but disappointed with the constant pilling of the flannel (even after several washings).

I ordered a large, thinking it would shrink, but it didn't. They are very soft and comfortable to wear, but they shed terrible. I have washed them several times and still get blue fuzz all over. And the lint in the dryer is so full! But I will wear them and if I order another pair, will definitely get a medium size.
