Expensive? Yes, a little bit for a casual shirt. High quality? Absolutely the softest, most beautifully made versatile shirt for Fall and Winter with the comfort level of a robe and the practicality of a shirt. I begin each day going outside with my dog and this shirt with its warm lining even in the sleeves is absolute perfection, yet it looks pretty and not too rustic with jeans. This is my first shirt from LL Bean and I am so happy I took a chance. I wanted a cozy, warm, well made shirt with a lining that was soft and a pretty pattern. It is exactly what I wanted and the quality surpasses what I hoped for! I wanted plenty of room without being super baggy and got a 2x for my plus size upper body and it is divine.

Love this Fleece lined flannel shirt. It is warm and cuddly. Not too fashionable, but really comfortable around the house on a chilly day!

This style is my favorite--I have 5 of them now! This one is a little darker than it looks online, but it's still nice and warm. I love the flannel lining, the pockets, and snap closures.

This is my second fleece lined flannel shirt and i love it! The first one last MANY years but i finally had to replace it. Warm and soft, the perfect weight for inside wear on a chilly morning or outside for extra warmth.

I love this shirt. It's the first thing I grab to wear in this cool weather and comfortable around the house too. I wish they came out in more plaids.

This is such a COZY jacket. When it is raining, damp or cold, this takes the chill away. This is true fleece (not fuzzy fur). Great for casual everyday or keep in the car to take inside when the A/C is blasting. I wore my Dad's but it was too big - saw it on sale and got this in two different plaid styles for myself - no regrets. Would make nice gift!

I love these Fleece Lined Flannel Shirts and have purchased several different colors/plaids. I especially like the snap closure. The shirts hold their shape well after being washed and dried several times.

I have quite a few of these cozy, toasty fleece-lined flannel shirts - I wear them all winter in the house, and I find that they really help to keep me warm on cold days and nights. This was a plaid color I did not have, so I added to my collection. I do wish they came in solid colors - I am not much of a fan of plaid, which conjures up the 60's, but the warmth outweighs the plaids.

I love the snap closures and pockets. It feels cozy. Fits comfortably without feeling bulky. Perfect for cool days.

This is my new favorite flannel. The fleece lining is soft and cozy. I prefer the snaps to buttons, which make it much faster to put on/take off. I cannot recommend this flannel enough.

I wear this shirt around the house in winter. It's warm and cozy. I've had another one for years and it's starting to wear out.

I ordered a size up PM to layer (I usually wear PS) with a long-sleeved shirt. The sizing appears to be accurate. PM provides plenty of room and may offer a slightly oversized look for my athletic frame (122-125 lbs, 5'-3"). The outer plaid is made of lightweight, smooth cotton material, which is not as heavy as flannel. The fleece liner is substantial. I will likely wear the shirt with a long-sleeved shirt or sweater for winter temperatures in the 30s and 40s). The back of the shirt reaches 1-2 inches below my hips, which I think is a bit long for a petite size, but that extra length offers complete coverage of my rear from the cold. I think PS would not have that extra lenght considering the proportionate sizing. The sleeves are wide enough to move my arms freely. Overall, the fit is great and the design is attactive.

I bought this to replace one I had purchased years ago and wore out. Rarely can you buy something 10 years later that hasn't been changed so much it is nothing like the item you loved so much! Not the case with this fleece flannel shirt! The only noticeable change was the addition of side pockets - which is the only thing I thought my original shirt was lacking, so a welcome change! This shirt/jacket is so comfortable! The flannel isn't what you expect flannel to be, it's soft, thinner material, which is part of what makes it so perfect! I didn't appreciate the exterior shell material until I tried other brands that were actual "flannel" and found them inferior to this shirt. Very expensive for a fleece lined shirt but will last years and gets even more comfortable with age.

I really like the soft juniper plaid, with snaps and pockets. Roomy fit in a size small also good

The lining is so comfortable. The material washes well also.

These flannel shirts are extremely comfortable. I only wish that they were available in more light colors.

This is a great purchase, goes over T-necks or T-shirts well. It looks great with pants. I like the way it isn't too fitted, the bright colors, and the carefree feeling it gives while wearing it. I bought the PM and it's true to size, with a little room to spare.
