Great heavier sweater perfect for cold Wisconsin winters. I got the paper white color which to me didn't seem as white as shown in the picture, more flecks of light grey. Still love it.

This is my second Classic Ragg Wool Fair Islethey are great sweaters. The Bright Navy color is especially beautiful and I really appreciate the warmth of wool on a cold winter day! One minor drawback: the wool is a bit scratchy so I wear a turtleneck underneath and that solves the problem. I like this type of sweater just a tad over-sized; at 5'4" and 125 the medium regular works well to give me more length (falls to the bottom of my hip) with room for layers. The petite medium would probably work better for someone looking for a shorter fit.

LL Bean is one of the last US retailers to offer 100% wool women's sweaters. These sweaters usually last for many years as long as you take good care of them. I live in the snowy, very cold northeast. I wear these sweaters all winter.

I've been looking for a warm, flattering wool sweater, and for me - this is it! We live West of Boston, it's cold here, we live in an old house, and we try not to "over-do-it" with the heat. I like this sweater because the wool provides the warmth I need, and the cut is very flattering. I am a slim, but curvy 5'8", in my mid-30's, and this sweater isn't too wide or chunky as many of them can be. Wool also conforms to your shape as you wear it, so I can see the cut of this sweater being flattering on a wide range of shapes and sizes. I have also found it very durable from everything from yard work, to carpentry, to cooking, to taking care of sick kids... this sweaters' good for it all! I expect it to last many years, and I am hoping to buy another one next season to add to my winter rotation. Thanks L.L. Bean.
