Fit is snug. I am wearing the same size boot as I do with other brands. Had to go to a slimmer sock as the boot volume is less. This translates to a solid fit with No Slop! Slop might be more comfortable but it leads to foot and Achilles issues for me. I hike in steep and rocky terrain in the Southwest. This also requires lateral stiffness which this boot has. I have the non gore tex version. Not the coolest/breathable boot I have worn! The Bridgers did breathe better. Overall great boot for the price.

I have tried many different hiking boots and hands down the best boot I have ever worn is the Oboz Sawtooth X Mid. I don't have to look anymore!

I bought my first pair in 2008 and have nothing but good things to say about Sawtooth X Mid hikers. So far I have bought 3 pair....the original are by far my favorite. Shape, sole, materials are all stout and comfortable. I still have all 3 pair, worn but working.

Ive been wearing only Obos for 7-8 years, absolutely, love them. They saved my feet and my life since Im on my feet 80-90 hrs a week

My size is mens 9.5W. These boots are comfortable right out of the box. No hot spots, ample room in the toe box, and secure at the heel.

My husband loves his new summer hiking boots. They are supportive, breathable and wide enough for his feet!

Oboz is s very well made,sturdy, high quality hiking shoe/boot thats well worth the money.

High tops are a little hard to get foot into and new top eyelet hooks are harder to get the shoe laces into. I usually get the low tops, thought Id try hightop.
