After searching and trying several different hiking shoes, these felt great as soon as I out them on. From a fit perspective, these shoes run narrow and probably a bit small. I normally wear a narrow (which is probably why I have struggled to find a pair that fits) and these fit me perfectly. If you normally wear a regular width shoe, I suggest ordering 1/2 size+ larger than you normally do. I felt the arch support to be good - it is there but not too pronounced - I do have a high arch. I had tried the Oboz low but those rubbed my ankle bone, where these being the X Low do not and have good padding around the ankle and heel. Excited to start wearing them on walks and hikes.

Really love these shoes. They're great for hiking and just general casual wear with jeans.

Very comfortable, lightweight yet sturdy with excellent arch support. Great traction on dirt, rocks, and small gravel. Very stylish with my jeans for eunning errands around town as well. Highly recommend these gorgeous hikers!

I saw reviews that the shoes seemed wider than previous versions. I agree with this statement. It feels like I have a lot of "slop" in the heels. I am wearing very thick socks, so I think I can get by with these shoes, however, this is a fit change from previous versions of the boot I have purchased and is a bit disappointing.

These look nice and durable, but I can't wear them because of the narrow toe box :(

This shoe runs VERY long. I've a size 12 narrow foot flat foot. My heel slips out, even with custom orthodic. I can tie it really tight, but then feet hurt.

Not a good feel, I was surprised. Difficult to tie the laces for a tight fit.

Previous versions of the Sawtooth had great arch support. This one does not. So disappointed. I returned the purchase.

These were clearly worn outside. There was sand in the traction grooves, the tops were dirty and dented.

Comfortable for hiking and everyday activities in cold weather. Keep my feet warm and dry. Fit well out of the box. Adequately wide toe box which is a concern of mine. And I have a narrow heel. I definitely recommend them.

Excellent arch support and the sole is stiff. My podiatrist recommended that combination

They fit the right way, supportive walking on rocks and uneven terrain.there not as breathable as I would like in warm weather but I don't have to wear them all day so it's not a big deal.

I found a pair on sale at REI and didn’t want to remove them. After wearing the style awhile I wanted another pair. So happy that Zappos had them! Now I have 2 colors! But would take them in any color. These are my first Oboz shoes. I expect to buy more.
I'd also recommend:

Right out of the box, these boots were comfortable. I bought them ahead of my hiking trip in order to get time to break them in. They just feel great each time I wear them.

I have a small foot. Sneakers and bulky hiking shoes seemed fine until I wore these Oboz. They fit perfectly (I was advised to try on a whole size bigger) and gave me such wonderful stability. It seems a little like magic: how could they seem bigger and more stable and still be my size? Who cares, I love them, wear them on the city's concrete and the country gravel roads, and any rocky area I find.

The fit was very good; I usually wear a narrow shoe, but this shoe--which doesn't come in narrow--fit very well. Several hiking "advisors" recommended I select a size, or half-size, larger than my size 6, but I had tried on a pair in my size, and they felt fine--sufficient space for my toes even on a downhill. One 3-mile walk on a hot day isn't necessarily conclusive, but these shoes felt comfortable right from the start. They definitely provided a good level of cushioning and stability. I plan to keep right on walking in them!

I love these boots except the laces feel thin. I hope they don't break too easily. So very comfortable on hikes so far.

After a long search for low hiking shoes, I finally found this Sawtooth X Low. I have horrible bunions, narrow heels, and high arches. Was worried about the toe box in these and, with my hard-to-please feet, these are a teensy bit snug there in one shoe, but stretching out quickly as I wear them. Rarely can I go without arch inserts, but these have excellent support. True to size and look nice with jeans.

I bought these because some say they run true to size. I also find they work for a narrow foot. And they come with a great orthotic, too. Knee pain is much less and I don't feel the road as I did with sneakers.
