I bought the medium cube about a month ago and I've gotten a lot of use out of it! The one suggestion I would have is to add a headphone port to allow a cable to go through. I use my portable charger in there and it would be amazing to have that feature!

I bought the large camera cube for my new Peak Design Travel Backpack and there are a few things I want to mention for the next generation cube. Peak Design, no one is going to wear the camera cube by itself like a backpack. This feature is unnecessary. I'm buying this camera cube to go inside a backpack and if I want something smaller or standalone, I will just get a different bag all together. Because this was engineered this way, I am having difficulty fitting everything inside. Let me explain, due to the zipper and flap (which doesn't need to be there to begin with,) the cube has material running all around the edge which prohibits seemless access in the very edges of the cube. If the cube was completely unobstructed then it would be perfect. We're buying these huge backpacks for a reason and I personally wish all my gear was accessible without it getting caught on the excess fabric.

I am loving the small Camera Cube. I can fit my mirrorless camera and 3 lenses in it and feel confident that they are secure and safe from my overzealous packing and hiking. I am hoping to follow up with a backpack or duffel bag that I can use in conjunction with the cube.

I bought this because I needed it for my travel backpack. I skeptical about it at first thinking that I wouldn't need to remove it but being able to detach it was very handy and attach it to my peak design strap. My only concern are the clips used to lock the cube in place. I hope they make a better way to secure it on the bag instead of having individual clips. Those are very easy to lose with kids around.

I love the separation and ease of customization. Works great in my car as a place to store my extra gear between hikes. I got the large size and It would be great if it was a little larger. I understand they are more used for a backpack but I would love to have a kit bag I can store all the gear I like to bring when I am out for several days in the mountains.

I've been using the small camera cube with the travel backpack for over 50 trips of 1-3 nights, sometimes also as my daily carry. The small one is a great compromise, as it works also as a separate camera bag when you need it to, while also giving you side access when in the travel backpack. My only niggle is with the concept; it is so sturdy, that it can be used separately, while the travel backpack is also sturdy enough to protect a camera. Thus, the system as a whole becomes quite bulky and heavy.

I bought the large size cube because I needed something that would fit a large telephoto lens, as well as a mirrorless camera body and other, smaller lenses, and various other items. Overall, the cube is well designed, but there are definitely a few issues. The first issue is that, although the cube is large enough to fit the lens, they do not make dividers that are long enough to span the longest length of the bag. You have to stick together a number of the smaller dividers to span the space. It works OK but is kind of a pain, especially if you're rearranging the layout. The other issue is that peak design does not sell a shoulder strap for the bag. The only way to add a shoulder strap is to repurpose one of their camera straps as a shoulder strap. That would work fine for a smaller bag or lighter gear, but for those of us who shoot with heavy lenses, the camera strap does not offer enough padding to be comfortably worn. Their camera straps are also designed to slide around, which is not ideal for a heavily laden bag. I own a peak design tote, which comes with a shoulder strap. At the moment, I am using that strap with the bag, but it looks silly because it's in the gold color. I confirmed with customer support that they do not sell the shoulder straps separately, so at the moment that's the solution I'm stuck with. I'm going to keep using the cube, because it is hard to find well designed cubes this large, but I do hope they make some improvements in the future.

The only good thing about this product is its durability. But I find it bulky and eats all the space in my 45L travel backpack. I don't feel satisfied with it.

I bought this and returned it as it was way to big for my pack. Looking to get a backpack in the future.

I have had this bag for a few years and I wish it wasn't as bulky and it just sits in my closet.
