I bought the small camera cube for my hobby photography son who enjoys hikes with his friends or traveling home with his camera in tow but without wanting the bulk of an entire camera bag. This cube allows him to protect his camera and lenses and bring them along in whatever hiking/travel bag when may otherwise need to carry, while being sure that his cameral equipment is kept separate and protected.

I bought this cube to go with my other Peak Design gear. It is well constructed and fabulously designed. It is sleek and stylish, and safely holds my camera and lenses.

I got this along with the 45L Travel BP and loved how they implemented this. I use the BP for one-bag travel at times, which means it also needs to serve as a camera bag as well. The small cube works very well in their system for quick access, and leaves a lot of room left in the bag to carry any purchases I may make during the day out in the city, or any other gear that I may need to carry (jacket, water, snacks, etc.).

I bought a medium camera cube to pack for travels. It is extremely protective and has so many compartments so it was just what I was looking for to protect my equipment. It's a little bulkier than anticipated so it definitely would only fit in my carry on but overall I'm very happy with it and hoping to buy a small soon!

These cubes are well made and hold a ton of gear. Great dividers hold equipment snug. I use them to keep my gear in and if I take my hiking backpack, they slide right in.

I bought this to have a "small" insert to go in my back for cruise ship travel. What I got was a HUGE insert with a SMALL footprint. This thing is genius! Easily holds my Cannon Rebel T7, with a 50mm and an 18-mm-400mm Tamron lens, plus batteries, charger, and PD Cuff strap, all held by my PD Slide strap. Desperately trying to convince my better half that I need a PD Travel Backpack to go with this!

I've been using the small cube for almost a year now, and I am thoroughly impressed. I tried using it as a standalone bag and as an insert on my KATA Orbit messenger bag, works perfectly on both occasions. Materials are pretty durable, though I would prefer it to be a little more padded. It gives enough protection against elements even on its own, but the quick pull-away zip means there's a small gap where water ingress may occur. No problem when used as insert bag. Size is optimized for PD Travel backpack, so it's no wonder that it's a little too wide for my rucksack - but it fits just fine on my messenger bag. The shelf dividers are a godsend for prime lenses. My travel kit consists of 1 DSLR with zoom lens, 2 primes, 1 flash, 1 spare battery, and lens cleaning kit - everything fits nicely inside the small cube. After such trip, a sling loop on my cube frayed and I contacted Peak Design's customer support. The whole warranty claim process was hassle-free, without the usual convoluted, corporate, bureaucratic "limited lifetime warranty" - and 2 weeks later a brand new cube arrived safely at my doorstep. Nothing short of awesome!

I have been using the V1 Medium and Small Cubes with my 45L Travel Backpack for a few years now. The whole line of Tavel Backpack and the Cubes have been well designed and well thought Pros: Well made protection for the camera. The Medium and the Small fit well together to take up 100% of the 45L Travel Backpack. For the Medium Cube, the slide zip openings are very useful and work well with the side openings on the Backpack itself. The dividers are super flexible and very useful. See the attached picture for how I have set it up to carry one full-frame DSLR with 24-70, another crop-DSLR with 70-200 and the 135mm sitting on the side. For this arrangement, I have not used the small cube. Sometimes, I just like to use the Medium and leave the top space of the Backpack free for Flashes, Books, etc. Cons: There are few main cons for me here - 1. The side zip openings could have been more edge-to-edge where the flap completely opens. See the attached picture where you can see the cube material blocking the area where you pull out the camera. I hope PD has fixed this with the V2 Cubes. 2. Also, the cube to backpack side attachment loops need to be more out of the way of the cube side flaps. They are currently sitting on the flap itself, thereby hindering the operability of the flap. Look at the attached picture. 3. It would be nice to be able to completely take the flaps off by providing an all-around zipper. So, if we do not want the flap in the way (to reduce weight as well), we can completely take it off! For me, the greatest con is this - I cannot easily pull and restore back my camera out of the backpack's side panel access point. It takes a bit of finagling and forcing to make it work. If the openings on the medium cube were just as wide as the cube itself, this would be resolved! Hope this is resolved with the Cube V2!

Got the S and was hoping to replace a a Think Tank bag but ended up keeping the TT bag as was und am using the Cube S as a storage pack. I didn't think it though. you have to purchase an additional Strap, probably Slide, so $$ and 'only' have one large open pouch + dividers. No pockets inside or out. probably should have got a V2 S or XS not living in the US it wasn't worth the return costs. other than that, quality of course amazing and well thought through product. full disclosure, total fanboy, have several other PD bags and products, just had buyers impulse get the better of me and my judgment.

Got the medium during Black Friday sale and it's great value, now that the V2's are out. Does everything I want for space, organisation, fitting in my 45l Travel Backpack. The one thing that I was expecting and is missing is the trademark "rip open" opening system, that both the small camera cube and the packing cubes have (both of which I own). I was so bummed when I saw that this doesn't have it and that's what I'm ducking a star for.

I like the thing, and it's definitely necessary if you buy one of the travel bags. The Velcro on the dividers isn't the best. Probably because it's on a flat, rigid surface so there isn't any flexibility. I find it detached sometimes as the bag moves around. Still there are plenty of options for divine the bag up, so you can kind of double layer some things. The loops that mount the thing into the backpacks are on the wrong side, in my opinion. The are in a position where you can have the side access flap permanently open if you want the cube attached to the bag. I could've just had loops on both sides so I could pick how I wanted it installed. Also, just in led a few small zipper pockets on the exterior. More pockets never hurts. I find myself wishing for more places to put little things on all of the park design stuff.I still give the think a 4/5 but I want to make a few of the weird design choices clear.

I bought large mainly to store my extra gears. instead of buying camera bags and backpacks to store. this is most affordable option than pelican. wish there was some sleeve pockets and sturdier shoulder strap adapter. Peak's large size is larger than any other cubes and unique divider is the best in the market. better than shimoda or f-stop cubes!!!

I bought this a few years ago. While I enjoyed the use of the product greatly I had initially gotten confused as to which area I was to add my shoulder strap to. This inevitably caused that area to tear. It would be nice if both placed could be reinforced. Everything else has worked as a charm to this day.

Used with the 45L travel bag on a trip to Portugal. Cube worked great with the side access and still left plenty of room in the bag for other items. Side access great to grab camera and quickly put it back during hikes

A few weeks ago I bought my second cube. I have two of the big ones know and the hold all my gear - including three bodies and a lens as big as a 500mm. To be able to configure the inside to literally any layout you want is great, adding a few anchor links and a strap is simple and makes it easy to carry. I'd love to give 4,5 stars cause really the only thing I'd wish for them to have is more dust proof zippers/zippers you can close all the way without the remaining little space at the end. Overall, definitely recommend.

I want to start off by saying that this cube deserves 5 stars. I absolutely love its design and how you can change the configuration inside to fit your needs. It feels and looks extremely well made and durable. I had bought it for a month long upcoming trip to Sicily and thought it would fit in my 42L Cotopaxi travel bag. Unfortunately for me it's just ever so slightly too large. It fits but I really have to squeeze it in and it makes the pack quite uncomfortable, I have a Fuji XT4, one zoom lens, and one wide angle prime lens and even the small is just a little too roomy for my gear. Length wise the small was perfect to accommodate everything and works in my bag. The height, however, is just a little too much. I'd say there is several inches of open space above my camera and lenses that would have just been wasted space that I can't afford in my backpack. Sadly I'll be returning it. My guess is this would fit great in Peak Design's 45L travel bag. Regardless, this is an awesome cube and I'd recommend it if you can fit it in to your travel gear.

I'm off to Antarctica in the next three weeks and bought this for the trip. Given I'll be out in all wet weathers potentially, I planned to put this in a dry sack. I'd have been delighted with the cube if it opened at the end too so there were two ways to get the camera in and out. My fault for not thinking about it before hand. It fits my camera great perfectly though.

This is a nice and unique bag, but did not meet my needs. It is just too big for a smaller DSLR (Nikon D5500). It does not come with sufficient dividers and the ones it does come with did not fold/bend very easily. There are other good quality bags that have more features (including a strap that does not cost as much as the bag itself) in a smaller package, but this back might be right for larger cameras with more accessories.

My partner was headed for Antarctica and thought she'd go on a bucket list trip with just her iPhone 14 Pro to photograph the penguins and the ice. Nope! The new Canon M50 MkII I surprised her with needed a new home and Peak Design Camera Cubes were up for the challenge. The small bag perfectly held the body of the camera, the standard lens, a Canon 75-300mm zoom lens and a 1K Gorilla Pod with 3 batteries and a dual battery charger. This all fit into her existing backpack for carryon and cruise excursions for maximum Emperor Penguin Exposure. The reduction in a star is because I don't find the "shelf" aspect of their case dividers to be the easiest to use. The dividers themselves are great but the shelf is a little stiff and difficult to deploy.

Bought the small camera cube and have been pretty happy with it over all. It is able to fit my camera nicely with enough space for a spare lenses, batteries, etc. My only complaint is the shelf divider seems to be an older variation or just not well designed when compared to the shelf dividers from the sling bags. Overall happy with the product and I am looking forward to the medium camera cube we ordered to come in!
