This sun hoodie is nearly perfect. The fabric blend is soft and lightweight, plus with the wool's natural odor-resistance, you can wear it for days at a time. I have worn this a ton over the last five months in the Utah desert on hiking and backpacking trips. My only complaint is that the fabric is a little too thin and after so many wears and washes (I always wash cold and hang dry), it is now so thin that it is almost see-through and small holes are appearing. It's a bummer to only get 5-6 months of use out of a piece that is almost $100. I think if the fabric were a little heavier, it could still be functional, but last longer.

I use this for cool weather when just a bit more than a t-shirt or jersey is needed. Love the color! wish the neck was just a little higher.

Overall, Love the comfort and fit of this hoodie, it's wonderful for everyday and work wear, as well as for hiking, and outdoor adventures of all sorts. Only note is that because it is the ultra lite, it does wear down faster, and the sleeves on all three of mine are wearing out at the seams which is a bummer. I will absolutely order more of these in more colors to replace the ones that are wearing out :)

Used this for a short hike this weekend. A friend recommended it and I was pleasantly surprised. We hiked about 6 miles in 75-ish degree weather and it was nice and breathable. It also kept me from worrying about sunburn. I had heard I wouldn't smell, but I was shocked that it was actually true!

Fits very loose, which is good for heat but not overly flattering.

This is lightweight and fits well. My only complaint is it has a small snag/run in the fabric so I wonder how it will hold up.

Very thin. I love the look and feel but it was not very durable. Holes after one wash. Would be good as an under layer.

Well made. Has a body-conforming athletic fit. The black is really cute.

This is fine. But could have longer sleeves and thumb holes. Also could be slightly longer so it doesn’t ride up when I bend over. I’m 5’8” and got a small. Color is nice and it’s soft and became great for sleeping in while cold weather camping.

Took this hoodie on a rafting trip and it was great! Very lightweight but durable..hood fit great. The color is very pretty too. Knocking one star off because I feel the sleeves are a bit short and my wrists got burnt. Otherwise the fit is spot on

I love this hoodie for biking. The weave allows air to pass through, keeping me cool. It does get hot, however, when I'm hiking in it. I was really sweating on a recent hike, which had an air temperature of about 75F. Probably a better choice for early spring or late fall hiking. #sweepstakes

The hoodie is very comfortable. Just as the Smartwool folks said, it runs large so the xtra small sizing I ordered is perfect. I would have preferred a darker color - the blue - but it wasn't available when I placed the order. The trouble with the pale blue is it doesn't obscure whatever you're wearing underneath it. But I know I will enjoy it, especially this summer lakeside.

I bought this shirt hoping to use as lightweight sun protection for hikes and fieldwork. The material is soft, stretchy, and I like the overall cut. Unfortunately the sleeves are way too short to consistently cover your wrists/hands. I found myself constantly tugging my sleeves down. The length is OK if you don't have to move your upper body, but as soon as you lift an arm the sleeve rides up. For reference, I would consider my arms average length. If you are petite and/or have short arms hopefully this isn't a problem. If the design was revised to add 2-3 more inches to the overall sleeve length I would buy again.

This is really a hooded long sleeved tshirt but is very lightweight which is great if thats what you're after. I was hoping it would be more of a hoodie and heavier, more like the base layer top I have. It was on sale so its still reasonable but at full price this is not good value.

Good fit but the sheerness of the fabric makes it not very useful. The black and white card photo that some companies do could be an easy way to deal with those expectations.

Beautiful but too big

I bought this for a 3 day canoe trip for sun protection. I liked the color and fabric. It protected me from the sun. I would take it off, soak it in the water and then put it back on to keep me nice and cool. By day 2 i had a small hole in the front. I do not remember snagging it. The fabric is thin and the weave not very tight, so may be that is the problem. I sent an email to get support/refund/replacement, but never heard back

This does not fit at all like on the models. I got the coral in L and the black in XL, and both fit like a normal/tighter fit women's T. Super disappointed, because the material is awesome. For reference, I do have very broad shoulders, 5'4 180 lbs. Then, of course, i contacted SmartWool's customer service for a return and they closed out the case literally the next day without ever emailing back! Worst customer service ever. I might give SmartWool one more chance because I love their socks, but this experience was just disappointing.

Material is very soft and I loved the green color, but was so disappointed about how thin it was. It showed my black sports bra and I ended up returning it because I hated how see through it was. Pretty disappointed

Love how warm on cool/cold desert nights and then keeps the sun off of me on hot desert days. So comfortable and cozy! Not durable at all, I have so many holes
