Purchased the same size for my large 18 mo. old and my petite 3 y.o. There is only about a 7 lb difference between the 2 of them. It was too small for both of them. The chin strap hit awkwardly at their mouths. I didn't even try the mittens on them. It is sturdy material, and warmly layered. I wish it had fit properly!

Just another review to share how small this fit is!! The hat looks ridiculous on my 19 month old son! The largest size barely covers his forehead and chin strap is FAR too small - his head is very averaged sized as well. Do not buy!!!

The hat is way too small. My son is 3 year old and I can't even put this thing on him.

I have a 2yr old who was a preemie so by no means a big kid, and his head size is in the 50th percentile - there is no way this hat would fit him. Like another reviewer said, way too small! Wasted time AND had to pay shipping to return it on top of it so wasted money as well. Very disappointed in this product, and still need to find a warm winter hat.
