I would like to use for outdoors activities, but the standard size "M" doesn't fit on my head, I feel its size is reduced. I couldn't use it and I have to start the return process.

The brim gives some sun protection, however the crown is a limp fabric with no shape. It falls flat when off your head and becomes wrinkled. You'll never look smart in this hat.

Purchased L/XL and it was still too small.

Like the hat but the strap that came w it was cheap compared to similar hat bought two years ago. Northface used to mean great quality. Not on this purchase!

I would love for this hat to work for me. I've read so many positive reviews, but TNF really dropped the ball by not having this come in a Medium. The S/M is WAY too tight, and I swim in the L/XL, in spite of having a normal hat size of 7.5. Two sizes are not enough, they should have done an XS/S, a Medium, and a L/XL.

Everything about this hat is great (breathability, hidden mesh for venting but no sun exposure, lightweight) except for two things that need to be improved. First, make the underside of the brim a dark fabric to cut glare and reflect less UV. Second, stiffen up the brim to allow it to be shaped and not flop around in the wind.
