I've bought these boots twice for each of my daughters. They never fail. Keep little feet warm. Just wish they came in another color.

We get these boots for my son every couple of years. They are warm, dry and durable. We live in south-central Alaska where winters are snowy and wet. He wears these boots daily from about mid-October until mid-April. I highly recommend them for active kids.

Reasonable price for 100% waterproof boot. The additional pair of liners, which are included, means they can serve as hand-me-down. My child grows every year, so we buy a new pair each year. Can we return to the days past where yellow, orange, blue, and other *colors* were available? We have two colors for boys today, and they're both black... ;-)

Great boots for a hard to fit grandchild! He put them on and a look of sheer satisfaction was on his face. I don't think he's taken them off since Christmas!

The quality and overall concept of these boots surpassed my expectations by far. Everything is good and well-made, with attention to details. People who created these boots really knew how kids wear boots in winter, spending all day outdoor in any weather. It has two pairs of liners, easy to pull out and dry, very warm and comfortable. It has excellent grip on snow, even on beaten winter trail that goes up and down. Boots fits well, and although they are not totally waterproof above the lower rubber part, water resistance still very good. I bought these as a second pair for my son, his first winter boots from another well-known manufacturer were getting wet soon, so I ordered Beans as a second line of defense :) But now my son ceased to use his first pair, he loves his Northwood boots and they last for the whole day, no need for the second pair. Sturdy, reliable, comfortable heavy-duty boots with the very good grip and extra liners. Real stuff! Upper Michigan winter tested :)

My boys grew out of their boots and I was able to wear the boots as a petite mother. To dry the boots you do need to remove the liners. I place my boots in the laundry room where I have a dehumidifier or put the boots in front of a heat source that blows hot air. Keep in mind these boots are a reasonable price. Thick Nylon can only sustain a certain amount of water. Like a backpack being rained on while going to school. The rain will eventually leak through the backpack. My one son would play for hours kneeling in the snow and his boots would always be soaked. My other son's boots never got soaked. Same boots different personalities. I was shocked to see the torn boot. Hope LL Bean is still using the same manufacturer .

I have purchased these boots for my son for two years in a row. They fit him well and keep his feet warm and dry. I also appreciate the extra set of liners provided.

Second pair I have purchased for my Grandson. These are the best boots, so warm with the liners provided.

My kids love these boots. We live in New England, and my kids spend a lot of time outdoors in the winter. The boots keep their feet dry and warm, and they're easy on/off. The boots are not restrictive, and the kids can move in them. As the kids outgrow each size, we buy the next size up each year. The boots hold up well to several rounds of hand me down to the younger kids. My oldest child is now in adult sizes. Sadly, we have yet to find an adult boot that he likes as much as the Northwoods boots. LL Bean, please consider making these in adult sizes!

My 6 year old son loves these boots. They are warm, sturdy, waterproof and great looking. He has had a great time in both snow and mud with these boots. I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend these boots for active children.

These work perfect for my 4 year old daughter. Her feet stayed warm and dry all winter long.

Second time we've had these and I'm so glad to have them again. First pair wore like iron. Love the extra pair of liners so you can swap out wet ones to dry while still being able to use the boots with nice dry liners. Lack of fussy enclosures means my 1st grader can get these on/off himself. No tongue/flap or velcro to get loose or floppy, making the boot useless like other brands we've tried. Come way up to mid/upper calf, so snow (with snow pants) stays out even in deeper snow. Price can be a bit hard to swallow, but worth it.

My son wore these already for our first snow. He never complained of achey or cold feet and told me when we went in after sledding and shoveling that they were great boots! Yay

Over the years we have purchased several pair of these boots for our children and our grandchildren. We are never disappointed! They are the best and have held up so well through all of our crazy winter adventures!!

We purchased this for our five year old boy and they are great. The size is what it should be, they are warm, and will last his energetic winter play.

Got these boots as an early Christmas present. I live in New England where we had 20" of snow. These were great don't even have to wear socks and my feet were real toasty. Love the fact you get 2 pair of liners. Will highly recommend these boots for anyone. Remember ladies if you take a size 7 a size 5 in boys will fit.

Love these boots for the kids! These are the second pair I am getting for my kids. The first pair lasted several years and have held up to the kids' tough wear and CT winters. I am so happy with the quality of the these boots and the fact that they were originally scheduled to be delivered 12/23, but showed up today 12/20 prompted me to create a Profile just so I could post a positive review.

Bought them for my granddaughter and she loves them. they fit great and keep her feet warm. Also love that they came with an extra pair of linings

This boot is easy to put on, tall enough for deep snow and kept my son warm. The quality is excellent and the lug sole sturdy and provides great traction. All around great boot.

These boots are, hands down, the best boots you can buy for your children this winter. They are high enough to keep the snow out, warm enough for hours of sledding/outdoor exploring and have enough traction to navigate icy parking lots. We buy them every year for both of our kids - I just wish they made them for adults!

I bought my snow-love, cold-loving, mud-loving son these boots as well as a different pair of boots from a different store/company. The Bean boots are BY FAR the best boots he's ever had. They are tall enough to allow him to play in deep(ish) snow AND they are warm and comfy. It's important that the boots can (and do) stand up to the cold weather because we live in the Northeast (Ithaca, NY), and it snows a lot here. It can also get very cold and icy here, and these are truly awesome boots. My son is 9 years-old, and he is tough on his clothes/shoes. This was / is an excellent purchase.

We've had the toddler version of these for many years but have now graduated to 'big kid' size. I was worried the higher ankle would be too high for my kid but they are perfect. easy on/off. great quality. socks are dry when the kid comes back in the house.
