I used it hiking on a rainy day with a backpack. Kept me dry. Shoulders were a little damp from the backpack straps at the end.

I wore it on a steadily rainy day hiking wearing a backpack for a little over an hour. Does not keep you warm but it is a rain jacket, not a sweater. Kept me dry, my shoulders were a tiny bit damp from where the backpack straps were. Otherwise, really good quality rain gear.

I like the Alta Vista because it is lightweight, keeps me dry, and looks great. The material and zippered openings under the arms help to minimize internal moisture retention. A North Face rain jacket has been my choice for over 20 years and there is nothing here to make me look elsewhere.

Light weight and very packable. I used to have a similar series with a nice soft fabric at the chin, but other than that, this has nice interior pockets and VERY large front pockets. Waterproof zippers all around too! Nice jacket

Really good against the wind and rain. I love the chest pocket I usually put my phone in it. I also love that you can stow it in the chest pocket.

Fits very good & is light

This is the best North Face rain jacket to date that I have had. I have worn through two previous rain jackets after years of use while backpacking that were both covered under warranty. The most notable improvement is that zippers are now more water resistant than previous versions. Highly recommend.

Wore this on a recent hiking trip in the Korean alps and it was a perfect outer layer. Wore a fleece under and stayed dry and comfy.

This jacket is a solid in my wardrobe! Love the comfort and always keeps me dry! You'll never need another!

Keeps you very dry. But you need to wear some kind of sweater underearth if the weather is cold. I do like the jacket.

Bought this jacket for my husband. He tested it today in the rain. Said it was great keeping him dry while he walked but it worked so well that he started to sweat! He will wear lighter clothes next time but he loves this jacket!

I liked the fact that it is waterproof, but it is not as warm as the description.

Excellent product. I already had one and bought one for my husband this time.

Nice sleek look. I wanted something that looks minimalistic and packable. I also love that their interior is not mesh. It has a nice feeling fabric that doesn't stick to my skin. Also who doesn't love pit vents
