Great jacket medium fit true to size. Looks great. Zippers move easily. Did very well in the rain at a football game and it is very comfortable

This is my 3rd Alta Vista rain jacket. It's great for active hikers and athletes due to its lightweight construction and underarm zips. Over a period of say 5-7 years the waterproof material gets worn out and flakes off, so you will need to get a new one.

Went out in the rain for 10 minutes, and the jacket was fully soaked through. When wearing the jacket when it's not raining, you start sweating like crazy. Not Breathable!

Very lightweight but waterproof. Made of recycled materials is another plus. Perfect for those fall walks.

Definitely waterproof and windproof. A little snug in the shoulders, but a very nice jacket

I use this jacket while fishing on Lake Erie. It keeps me dry.

Love it! Super lightweight and perfect for layering. Sleeves are way too long for me (I'm female) but that's ok, keeps me dry in pouring rain. The orange color is vibrant and awesome - I bought the men's version because all the TNF colors for women are super blah. Make more of your women's designs in better colors please!!

I had to replace my old venture 2 and decided to go for this one as it seemed the closes equivalent. First or all, north face has change the fits for both the men and women jackets which makes it difficult for long time north face customers to find the right size. They added a chest pocket and pit vents which was the only nice thing in caparison to the venture 2. The hood is not great can only be tightened around the face and the drawstrings end up flopping around your lower face. In comparison to the venture which could be tightened at the back of the head for it to avoid falling over your eyes all the time. This is not the most water resistant jacket it completely soaked through after a 1 hour walk in the rain. I was hoping to use it for hiking trips as I did with my venture for years but this material is thinner and the DWR also does not seem as good.

The hood is designed to cover a baseball cap. If you don't wear one or you don't wear any hat with it the hood will go down to your nose. No one a The North Face warned me about this huge, oversized hood when I bought it during the summer. I recently wore it for the first time and the hood is so large it is useless. I went to bring it back and since it we over 60 days they were not very helpful. This is a bad design. I called The North Face and they asked me so send it back to them to see if they might help me out.

This jacket is great. Lightweight but durable and well made. Looks great too!

I like almost everything about this coat. Fits and looks good, fully waterproof, good pockets. My one nit is the hood is rather bulky...which is good for putting over a large (wool) hat but a bit too roomy when hatless.

I was looking for a lightweight, water and wind proof jacket that wasn't too hot and this one fit the bill! Love it, just what I was looking for!
