So far, so good. Have taken several 30-min walks through the rain and have come home bone dry. Need to run your thumb up ahead of the zipper to prevent it from getting stuck when zipping the jacket up is about the only thing I've noticed. I think the recommended sizing is a little small - says model is 6'1", 40" chest, and 32" waist. I am 6'0", 42-44" chest, and 32" waist and bought a Large and it's just right. Medium would leave no room for a shirt.

Don't let the lightweight fool you, this jacket can handle some pretty wet conditions. Been putting this jacket to some serious abuse in the open Pacific Ocean in Hawaii and it is standing up the the challenge. Love it, and already bought an extra one for a friend who is getting soaked next to me.

Love the material and zippers. But like other reviewers have stated, the hood is way too big for a normal sized head. It seems to have been designed for use over a helmet. There's no way to cinch it smaller when not wearing a helmet so it obscures your vision. Wearing a baseball cap helps.
The other issue is the pit zips, which cannot be open/closed with one hand. It's difficult to hold one end of the zipper with one hand and zip it with the other, meaning you have to take the coat off to zip them open or closed.
Other than those two (big) issues, it's a great coat that keeps you dry.

Looks great! I wear this jacket for hiking, so far it's good, at least for temperatures of +5C and above.

This is a great jacket. Wore it over my winter north face jacket to keep me dry from the rain. Definitely did a great job doing that.

I already have blue one and love it. It is great rain jacket for every day. Super comfortable. I'm using for every wearing but also for hiking because it is super light. You can use it also like top layer.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He was loyal to a previous tattered NorthFace jacket and wouldn't part with it unless I found a similar jacket. I'm so glad this jacket met all his expectations!! He's thrilled to have it for this tailgate season!

As described. Light weight. Medium is a great fit for a 5ft 11inch thin male. Love the green color!

I recently picked up the Men's Alta Vista Jacket, and it's quickly become one of my go-to pieces. First thing I noticed is how lightweight it feelsperfect for carrying around in New York where the weather can flip fast. It packs down small enough to throw in my backpack, but when I put it on, it doesn't feel flimsy at all.
The fabric is breathable yet still keeps me dry in sudden rain. I wore it on a humid day, and unlike other rain jackets I've owned, it didn't feel like I was wrapped in a plastic bag. The fit is athletic but not too tightthere's enough room to layer a hoodie underneath without looking bulky. The hood adjusts nicely and actually stays in place when it's windy.
One of my favorite parts is the overall versatility. I've worn it on my bike commute, while hiking upstate, and even just running errands in the city. It doesn't scream "outdoor gear," so it works casually too.
If I had to nitpick, the zipper feels a little delicate, so I'm mindful when fastening it. But other than that, I really don't have complaints. For the price, it's a solid, reliable jacket that looks good and actually performs.

The perfect travel gear jacket. Lightweight, packable and the best essential to have when the weather turns windy or rainy. My wife originally purchased the Women's Alta Vista Jacket, loved it and in turn it was a must have for me. Great selection of colors and the fit is comfortable even with the occasional sweatshirt for cooler weather. I would highly recommend.
