We bought 3 sizes for three Granddaughters ages 12,10, and 8. We have been buying from L.L.Bean since 1965.First for ourselves, then our children sand now our grandchildren, Styles change but L.L. Bean is a constant of quality and reliability. My wife and I appreciate that.

Snaps, softness, warmth-all in a very comfortable shirt. Only thing this grandma doesn't need is the hood.

I bought this for a gift for a young man who is only 7 but big for his age. He didn't even take it home for his mother to check it out. We were at a basketball game and he opened it and put it on immediately to go home. I have seen him wear it several times since then. He was absolutely pleased and so was I. It washed well and is very comfortable.

Bought this for my tall, thin 9 yo boy and it looks great. So comfortable and he wears it a lot.

I bought the shirt for my grandson. He and my son loved it so much my son called to ask if Llbean also makes the shirt for adults. The color was better than shown online. I checked online and a similar one is available for adult males but not in the same bright blue color. It would be great if LLbean made matching shirts for sons and their dads. My family loves Llbean shirts, great quality.

This was a gift for my grandson. Purchased this shirt in the blue plaid. It's well made and is soft, a nice weight and warm. Got a slightly larger size as he tends to grow out of things quickly. Right now he wears it daily as a light jacket over his shirt. As it gets colder here, he'll be able to wear it comfortably under a winter coat because it's not too heavy/thick. The bottom line for me is that my grandson loves the shirt and actually wears it. Home run.

My grandson actually uses it more like a light jacket! It is so soft! My grandson loves it and LOVES the snaps instead of buttons or zippers. Absolutely would highly recommend. Also love the Green/Blue of the one that I bought. Very very satisfied.

Yay, I scored cool mom points for this. My eighth grade son wears the same style jeans, tee shirt, hoodie every day so I wasn't sure a plaid shirt would fly but he LOVES it. Because of the hood and big fit, he did not consider it a button down shirt but the 'hoodie' part of his standard look. He still wears it with jeans and boots but it has changed things up. only problem is that he wants to wear it every day...

Purchased this shirt for my 12 year old son. He absolutely loves the cozy inside and easy-on-the-eyes blue plaid design. Nothing too bold but colorful nonetheless. We were worried the fleece lining might create a lot of static but he has not experienced that problem; he just loves how cozy it is! I purchased a big one because he does not like tight fitting clothes.

Sent this to my almost 13-year-old grandson for Christmas. He has worn it every day as a shirt and as a jacket over other shirts. He loves hoods so when I saw this I had to get it for him. He loves his new shirt! It is a good thing it is so well made because he will wear this until he has grown out of it.

I've been buying these shirts for years, and they have held up very well through two dirty, outdoorsy boys. I wash and dry them regularly, and they don't shrink. This is the "coat" my boys always reach for when they need something warm, and we layer them under parkas when the temps are really cold. They run true to size, though I always buy one size up when we need a new one to get as much wear as possible. My only suggestion is adding a loop to the tag for hanging these on hooks. I don't like hanging them by the hood because they drag the ground (at our house) and it can stretch/misshape the hood if the boys hang a backpack or something on top. I will keep buying these until my boys outgrow kids sizes.

We purchased this shirt jacket for our daughter because her favorite color is yellow and the girls offerings were too pink, etc. I think the styling between them is similar. She LOVES itit's soft, the fleece lining feels like a bunny, and the plaid with yellow is dark enough that it doesn't look grubby (she wears it daily and just about everywhere). So far it's washed up nicely too. The hoody component was a deal-breaker for our older son, but our daughter doesn't mind it.

I bought one for my little one and liked it so much I bought an XL for my teen! The fit (on both) are excellent and the XL fits me too! The flannel is truly flannel (and not twill like the womens) and the inside fleece is perfectly cozy! The pockets are fleece too! Great buy - well made and the colors are gorgeous and not muted.

This is one of our favorite LL Bean products. Every year I have bought my son one of these shirts as he outgrows them. It's a warm and comfortable shirt and is very durable.

I actually bought two of these for myself (adult female) in size XL. The fleece lining is super soft, and the flannel colors are gorgeous. I got the khaki/gray and the olive/blue, and am considering getting the light blue one too. I wear these over the waffle knit henley shirts in coordinating colors, sometimes with a vest for extra warmth. Love the pockets too!

Bought this for my 3 year old son, along with two other jackets for my husband and I. We all love them as we tour around town as a family of lumberjacks in plaid! But my little one truly loves his. As usual, excellent LL Bean quality, keeps him warm, the hood is a definite plus. My three year old is a tall, thin green bean, so I got him the small. I expect we'll be able to use it for the next few winters. Thanks LL Bean!

It is really nice looking and keeps a boy warm when he plays outside. Perfect for fall weather.

From 12 year olds to Grandparents everyone in my family loves these shirts. They run big, however that is exactly how the kids Ike them.

Purchased another of these shirts for my almost 11year old grandson. He has two from last year and wears them constantly, so am loading up for Christmas/Birthday this year. They are very soft and provide adequate warmth for our Pacific NW winters. He often wears them around the house in Winter as well. They wash very well, retain softness, no noticeable shrinkage. He now wears a 14-16 size even though he is tall and thin. Kids seem to like the oversized rather than exact fit.

My 10 yr. old loves this shirt. He wears it every day to school as a jacket. It is soft and the material is very nice flannel.

I bought the kids' XL for myself. I'm 5 feet 5.5 inches, 117 lbs, middle aged female. It looks fine unbuttoned, feels soft and comfy, and is just the right thickness for fall in CA. It fits properly in every aspect but the girth, which is enormous. This makes it much less warm than it should be, and not flattering when buttoned. It's so big around the tummy I could fit a small person under there.

My 14 y/o grandson loves these and I've just recently purchased his third one because he's gotten so tall. The only issue I have is that the elbows should be reinforced or have outer patches on them. I have had to patch the elbows on the first two jackets that I bought him.

Wish it had a zipper instead of snaps and wish red version wasnt patchwork plaid. The blue one wasnt..but
