He's had his flip top lunch box since preschool, and now in 4th grade he's way outgrown the shark design. The flip top seems to be making it's way out of the rotation since there are limited colors and designs. What made the flip top great was being able to put the water bottle in the lid and use the rest of the space for lunch. This design, the water bottle takes up 1/2 of the space! Returning, hope they bring back the flip top in more designs.

Super cute box and I love that it matches my daughter's backpack. I had to exchange it for a larger lunchbox, though. This one isn't deep enough for a food container and a thermos without straining the zippers and forcing it to close. This was for my 6 year old daughter, and she doesn't eat a lot. She needed to carry a tray-like container, a thermos for a drink, and a snack for later in the day and this simply wasn't big enough. I exchanged it for another lunchbox on this site that has the same print but was bigger. Thanks to the chat feature, a customer service rep helped me find the same print. Smiles all around. I bought this to replace a similar LLBean lunch box that has served me well for close to 20 years. I should have measured the old lunch tote and saved myself the trouble of a return. The new lunch box is too small to accommodate a salad, a sandwich, a snack, and a small ice pack.

Its ok, I thought it would be a little nicer for the money paid.

Smaller than anticipated! This won't even fit my daughter's bento lunchbox. This is about half the size of similarly priced lunch boxes! Buyer beware of the dimensions!

Was not at all what I expected. And the quality was not good at all!

I bought this thinking it would fit my kindergarten's medium bentgo box: 9.5" x 7" x 2.75". According to the specs it SHOULD fit but does not. It's about 1/2 inch too tight somewhere. Sadly I will return it. LLBEAN PLEASE bring back the Explorer Lunch bag which was just the right size and my older daughter is still using!!!

I've purchased LL Bean lunch boxes in the past and they were great, but this it wasn't the case. When packed with a ice pack the outside got cold and wet through leaving a wet spot on the table. This also occurred with another lunch box I purchased in this order. This never happened before so I'm not sure what caused it, but you don't want a wet lunch box where you have to wipe it down continually.

I bought this same lunch box for my son two years ago. It was 11" tall and it fit his Bentgo lunch box perfectly. I went to buy the same one for my other son, only to find it's now only 9.5" tall, and cannot fit a lunch box in it. It's such a bummer!

I love this lunch box but I'm so disappointed that the zipper started to fray the first week of school! What a bummer. We only used 5 times and it looks completely worn.

I searched all the reviews and didn't see anyone talking about a bentgo box. Unfortunately it is a tight fit. There is no way my kindergartener could manage this every day. Sadly i will be returning.

This lunchbox is tiny. It does not fit a Bentgo box. I was expecting more considering it being $20. Also, there return shipping is $6.50 so make sure you plan on keeping it!

This lunch bag is for a baby. I purchased the backpack and matching lunch bag for my daughter who's heading into 2nd grade. She really liked the bag with the stars and wouldn't change her mind about it. The bag is fine, the lunch bag on the other hand is way too small for the average lunch box. I would prefer my child to be well fed and with another lunch bag, than a matching lunch bag and starving. This can only fit snacks, not anything worth sending your child to school with. Definitely not one that will be in school for a long period of time. So disappointed. Will definitely try to return :(

This is a small lunch bag. Check the dimensions! It is my own fault, but I have an older LL Bean lunch bag for one of my children and I was ordering one for my other and did not check the measurements. I am so disappointed in the size of the bag and would return it but I had it monogrammed. Which is another issue. The monogram is tiny! For the price and size of the bag, it just looks silly. I love the older bag I have; it fits everything. This bag can fit a sandwich box and maybe a bag of chips. But it would not fit those things and a drink or anything else really. I do not recommend this bag and I would highly request LL Bean bring back the larger size.

I have a third grader and can barely fit a sandwich container along with other snacks.

Purchased for my first grade son. Great pattern and fabric. Fabric dries quickly as my sons water bottle emptied all over it due to me having to try to shove it in the lunch pail. It was not big enough to hold a sandwich container, kids size contigo water bottle and mini bag of chips. This is very disappointing since this is the only style that matches the backpack purchased. Will not be buying again.

I purchased this on sale. It is very nice lunch box, perfect size for packing lunch to take to the office, with good pockets inside and out for utensils, teabags, and other small items. However, after using it only twice, the zipper has pulled away from the bag, so I can no longer use it.

Inside the netting on the front has molded. We take ice packs out every day after school and wipe down with a damp cloth then set open to dry out.

I bought this off the reviews from a reliable website. Unfortunately, for the cost $19.95 plus tax and shipping it is a poor value. Add that to return it, you are required to pay$6.50 forcreturn shipping. Go to Target or your local discount and buy something much less and of arguably the same quality.

There are reviews from last year that say this bag fits a Bentgo lunchbox with room to spare. Not true for the one I received. The Bentgo box is almost exactly the same size as the lunch bag so it's incredibly difficult to put a Bentgo box in, especially for a 5 year old. And there is no room to spare other than a thin ice pack. Really disappointed in this purchase

The lunch box is great but I do not recommend wasting your money on the monogram! It is extremely small to the point it's barely legible. Basically looks horrible.

I'm not happy. The specs state that the lunch box is 3 3/4 inches deep, however it is barely 3 1/4 inches deep. That half inch makes a big difference. Unfortunately, I won't send it back, as return shipping costs 30% of the price of the lunch bag. It's just not worth it. Very disappointing. Not good customer service for items that have false descriptions.

Monograms awful. Love the lunch box itself but would have rather my friend monogram it.

Way too small. Not the size of other lunch boxes. I can barely fit all of the food containers in.
