Disappointed in the continuous decline in product quality from LL Bean. Lunch box handle is slim and flimsy. Smaller than the previous LL Bean lunch boxes I've purchased, Recently purchased a backpack and the handle on it is not padded and literally cuts into your hand. What's going on LL Bean?

We purchased two lunchboxes, one for my son and one for my daughter. Both were monogrammed as well. We have had them less than 2 months and the handle has ripped off of one already ;( we love the lunchbox and backpacks, just disappointed in this!

This is a replacement for one that broke one day after the warranty was up the lunchbox is ok the top strap is too weak

This lunchbox is not waterproof. Tossed it in a cooler of ice with other items and it was waterlogged. Dumb mistake on my part but a good fyi.

its small. Was too small for me, so I returned it. If you only take a sandwich and snack, it would work. I always take a bowl of salad, oatmeal for breakfast, plus fruit and veggies for snacks. This lunch box is much too small for that.

Great sturdy material but extremely small in size... classy personalized lettering....young child may have better use for it

Smaller than I needed. Not enough room for a lunch and beverage or water bottle. Nice style and good quality though.

Honestly, I had high hopes for this lunch box. I purchased 3 and have had one replaced after only 3 weeks of use and anticipate needing a 2nd replaced. These Lunch boxes hold a lot and they do their job when it comes to keeping things cold. I also love that I can fit my kids Bento Boxes in them. However, the construction of the handle is awful. The first lunch box, the handle completely unraveled and came detached from the lunch box. LL Bean did replace it, unfortunately with a different pattern (not a big deal unless you're 3...), and provided a return slip for the broken one. Now, I am having the same problem with my other child's. Keep in mind, we place the lunch boxes IN their backpacks, so it's not like they are hanging from a clip or anything that could cause extra pull/tension. This is just general wear and tear, but from a mere 6-8 weeks. I anticipate this one pictured will unravel completely soon. Although there is a long removable strap you can connect to this lunch box to carry as a shoulder bag, that is really more of a hassle than anything with small kids- which is why I took that off. Extremely disappointed with the quality of this lunch box. I would not recommend spending $25. It's not the LL Bean quality I'm used to.

I've purchased other lunch bags through LL Bean and was always delighted by the purchase. This bag is just too small. I wish I didn't have my initials on it as I would return for something bigger.,

It's a great product just not big enough for an adult really.

Loved this lunch box until it broke. Just a few months into school the handle broke. My kid is not tough on his things and the rest of the lunchbox still looks new, we've modified by making the shoulder strap short while I search for a replacement.

My family has exclusively used LL Bean lunch bags for years and had no issues. When it finally came time for a replacement, we never imagined that the handle would rip off after a week of use. Sad that the quality dropped off so badly. We have been LL Bean cardholders for ages for the perks, but not sure if it's still worth it.

Top handle detached at one end. Returning for a replacement. First time I've had a quality issue with LL Bean.

I had an earlier version that was a bit bigger than this version, which finally started to give out. In the old version I could get a 6 pack of mini cans of soda with 2 small ice packs & with a bit of room left over or 2 20 oz. water bottle, a small can of soda, 2 small ice packs, fruit or veggies, sandwich, and a few snacks. This new version only allows me to get 1 water bottle, 1 12oz bottle of soda, 1 very thin ice pack, a sandwich, and a a fruit a veggie in the section under the lid. Also, the lid doesn't line up perfectly around the edges (you can see in the picture on L.L. Bean online listing), making it difficult to zip. This lunch box might be good for kids. It's not great for adults, especially if because of your job you need to keep your lunch with you or because of your job you don't have access to a fridge.

Photos make this look standard size but it is so small its almost too small to be functional to get open and closed! I can't fit a frozen meal. This might fit a sandwich, some chips and a small container or something. No drinks for sure. Was this supposed to be a "child size" ?? My kids lunch box was 2x as big with a character on it. Lol

The handle has broken already. It's the 4th week of school for my 7th grader. My child isnt rough & tumble AT ALL. There is no reason that this handle should've broken already.

It's a great lunchbox and all of her lunch containers fit in it. However, less than a month into school, the handle frayed and came apart. Very disappointed with the quality.

Holds up well except the liner in this particular design. The liner broke on day 2 of use when I sent in an insulated container of good. Third time this happened over years with this design.

I don't typically submit reviews but felt the need this time. I've had two of these lunch boxes over many years. This one is, by far, a much lower quality. The material is thinner and clearly the stitching that holds the lunch box together and the handles on is poor quality. The shoulder strap is almost useless as it is in the wrong place so the lunchbox hangs upside down consistently. Very very disappointed, especially since this lunchbox is pricey. Very disappointed in llbean!

Nicely constructed , but smaller than I expected. At $30+ not worth the money in my opinion

Had to return for replacement within 10 months of light usage. The quality of LL Bean products just isn't a given any longer.

I initially bought this lunchbox for my husband a few months ago. We initially liked the size and design. But I just noticed that the handle is breaking off on one side. I do not pack heavy lunches and my husband merely carries the lunchbox from the house to his car during the week (so not holding handles for any extensive length of time).
