After working remotely for 2+ years, my company is now returning to the office. I bought the flower pattern lunch bag to perk me up while packing my lunch every morning. I paid extra for a monogram as a special treat to myself, and as you can see in the pic, the monogram is TINY and hardly noticeable. I previewed the monogram multiple times, but in the preview you cannot tell where the monogram will actually be placed on the lunch bag. Overall I like this bag, but do NOT spend extra for the monogram.

This one is sized a bit differently, making it super snug for our regular lunch containers to fit (this is our third one from llbean, so we know it should go in easily). Hard for little hands to manage on their own. Got it monogrammed, so can't return.

No strap, zipper seems a tad cheap. Definitely not the same quality LLBean normally puts out.

Great lunchbox, but the monogram is so small you can barely see it. Disappointed in what we got for the price.

This is a cute lunch bag. We got it to match my sons backpack. It's a good size for a kindergartener. After the first week his plastic fork ripped the liner. I feel like a lunchbox primarily meant for little ones should be a bit more durable. For the price I paid I don't really feel it's worth the money.

We have purchased several school bags in the past. The quality on the older bags are exceptional, however this is our first purchase of the lunchbox. It is a nice color. However, we have had it only a month and it has a rip in the inside already!! It is a small rip, but will eventually compromise the integrity of the lunchbox. I understand wear and tear is not part of the warranty, but my child has only used it for 1 month! It is disappointing that the quality is not there. The handle is very short and does not leave much room to carry it. It seems to be on the smaller side as well. LLBean can do much better!

Quality is great but the size not so much . This lunch bag has enough room for a sandwich, granola bar and juice box with a very small ice pack other wise its your normal great LL Bean product . So if you normally bring a good size lunch then skip this lunch bag

I was disappointed in the size of this. It's fine for a snack, but definitely doesn't hold a lunch and a drink for my kindergartner!

This lunch box is the perfect size to go in the smaller backpack (kindergarten) but is too small for lunch.
I just can get a sandwich container and water bottle in there. The bottle has to sit horizontally. I wouldn't recommend this item unless you aren't going to put much in there!

This lunchbox is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. We had been using the same LL Bean lunch boxes for 6 years and decided to get new ones. The type we had were no longer available. I'm disappointed with the size and I'm using them for elementary aged kids.

Great looking lunchbox, good quality zipper and material as expected from LL Bean! Good size for a smaller lunch box. The monogram looks beautiful!
An issue with it is the size of the handle. I bought it for my 6 year old son and we live in upstate NY. In his LLBean backpack he carries his library book, snow pants, sneakers and class folder. So there is no space in there for his lunch box and he hand carries it. It is cold here and he wears mittens but trying to fit his hand in the handle is very difficult and awkward so he ends up doing a football hold with it.
It would only need a couple more inches of material, just enough for a kid with a mitten on to easily grasp it.

Colors are good but...
Too flat to fit much, and don't like the lining. Lining is white so stains easily, and bunches up in the corners of bag. Not repeatable for me.

I love L.L. Bean's products, however, this lunch box is really small. I decided to keep it because school was starting and we didn't have anything else at the moment. This is for my son's lunch and he only takes an ice pack, 2 small snack size chips, couple small baggies of fruit. And sometimes a sandwich baggie of another food item. There is no room for a plastic water bottle so he has to carry it in his backpack. The flip top lunch box I think holds more because you can carry the water bottle in the lid with the mesh pocket.

Will be returning this lunch box, perfect for sandwich containers but not deep enough for a salad or most other containers, very disappointed as I know my older boys had these and they were not as shallow, llbean please bring back the old dimensions

I bought this to replace a similar LLBean lunch box that has served me well for close to 20 years. I should have measured the old lunch tote and saved myself the trouble of a return. The new lunch box is too small to accommodate a salad, a sandwich, a snack, and a small ice pack.

This lunch bag is of great llbean quality! However it was much smaller than I had hoped. Pay close attention to the dimensions I thought it would be comparable to llbean discovery 2 lunch bag sadly it is significantly smaller. I send milk to school with my first grader and pre schooler and couldn't fit a small skinny thermos and a sandwich in it in a way where everything wouldn't get crushed. I love the look and set up just too tiny. Growing boys eat.

Smaller than anticipated! This won't even fit my daughter's bento lunchbox. This is about half the size of similarly priced lunch boxes! Buyer beware of the dimensions!

I bought this thinking it would fit my kindergarten's medium bentgo box: 9.5" x 7" x 2.75". According to the specs it SHOULD fit but does not. It's about 1/2 inch too tight somewhere. Sadly I will return it. LLBEAN PLEASE bring back the Explorer Lunch bag which was just the right size and my older daughter is still using!!!

I've purchased LL Bean lunch boxes in the past and they were great, but this it wasn't the case. When packed with a ice pack the outside got cold and wet through leaving a wet spot on the table. This also occurred with another lunch box I purchased in this order. This never happened before so I'm not sure what caused it, but you don't want a wet lunch box where you have to wipe it down continually.

I bought this same lunch box for my son two years ago. It was 11" tall and it fit his Bentgo lunch box perfectly. I went to buy the same one for my other son, only to find it's now only 9.5" tall, and cannot fit a lunch box in it. It's such a bummer!

I bought this lunch box and the first one had to be exchanged because the zipper inexplicably wouldn't work one day. The replacement lunchbox has lasted less than full school year and already has a tear in the inner lining. There has never been anything sharp in the lunchbox. I love LL Bean but am disappointed in the quality control of this particular item

Im a big fan of LL Bean and their products but these do not hold up. I bought three of them and now that we are almost done with the school year I will probably be throwing them away. The problem is the inner lining. Not only does the white stain very easily, but it has multiple nicks and tears throughout. We use the recommended yum bento boxes (which I really like) and ice packs and I cannot say my kids are especially harsh on their gear. We do pack lunch almost every day. The exterior material has held up much better, as it is the same material as the backpacks, which I love. I will be looking for other lunchbox options for next year.

My son is in 7th grade, and he's had a new one of these every two years since he started school. Up until this year, they have all lasted through 2 school years... but the 2023 purchase is already shredded on the inside. Same contents, same (careful, gentle) kid. The lining feels much more brittle and plastic-y than in the past. Shame to see the quality fall off a cliff like this.
