The size is true to form. I bought a size 5, I would highly recommend this coat. It will be great with our northern coal winters.

I've purchased these coats for my kids in the past and they still don't disappoint. They are easy to zip and keep kids warm in the cold New England temperatures. The detachable hood is warm and not flimsy. The purple color looks even better in person than it does online. My daughter loves her coat!

Great jacket!! Warm, not too bulky and my son loves the soft fuzzy texture inside. It's not in the sleeves though so it makes it very easy to get off and on. Ordered size 5-6 for my son who will be 6 in February and it fits perfect! Would highly recommend!

Bought these for my boys for our upcoming trip to upstate NY. They are about to turn 6 and are almost grown out of their 5T clothes. The Medium 5/6 fits them well and should fit them next year too. So far they've worn them in 40 degree weather and have stayed warm without overheating.

This is my second time purchasing this coat for my grandson as he needed to size up. The quality is excellent and I absolutely loved it!

My son really likes this coat. It's fleece is warm inside but it's not a big heavy coat that makes you sweat. Easy to wear in the car too. The blue is nice and bright which I appreciate so I can see him walking from the bus stop.

My son has wore this same coat for two seasons and, having outgrown it, I just bought him a new one. He reports that they are very warm and soft. It washed well with the down staying nicely distributed throughout. He likes the "furry" lining (his words). His last one was black and he was disappointed that that color wasn't being offered this year. We settled on the dark blue.

We love this coat. We purchased a similar one for my son from LLBean last year too and he loved it. It's soft and warm, holds up well in really cold temps (skiing), and cleans well in the washer. My son is 5 1/2 and loves to climb and be a wild child.

Soon to be 5 grandson needed to upsize. His LLBean was passed down to his brother. Great quality. Warmth. Zip pockets. Zip off hood. All good.
