I agonized over the bags for my Kindergartener and originally purchased the 16L Junior bag which was a mistake (too small, she immediately sized out of it). Less than two years later I upgraded to this 24L bag which is significantly better and accommodates 8.5x11 sized materials without bending the corners. This 24L bag is perfect to get them the whole way through elementary school, I wish I'd just bought this size initially.

Bought two of these backpacks for my kids. One tore badly so I sent to in for repair and after paying $15 to sent it back, was told they could not repair it and would not replace it. I've been a lifelong LL Bean customer based on their amazing customer service. Apparently this is no longer the case. Very disappointed in the quality as well as customer service.

This is the second year I have bought One of these book packs for my granddaughter, who lives with me. This one just like last year is very good quality and I'm sure it will last longer than a year but I like to buy her a new one every year. This is the perfect size for the grade. She's in now

Grand Daughter loves it I bought it for her to take back home for the start of school this coming September. She can't wait to use it

As far as the bag itself goes, it's great. However the monogram isn't centered and is much smaller than I expected

L.L. Bean has set the standard with book bags for years. An L.L. Bean bag is always going to be great quality and durability. My little is starting kindergarten, great print/color options, quality, durability, and personalization were my reasons for purchasing. Never disappointed by an L.L. Bean product. (Got the matching lunchbox as well)

These back packs have outlasted any other. My kids both used these back packs and they are both out of school and still have them. They really hold up. We had one for Elementary and one for High School for each child.

Beautiful and sturdy bag for kids. Bought this for our 8 year old daughter who is going into third grade. She absolutely loves it! Also the fact that we could embroider her name on the bag was a huge plus.
