The backpack is perfect! It is my son's favorite shade of red. The embroidery is beautiful and immaculate. He loves it!

My seven year-old nephew had complaints over the fall about his backpack being really uncomfortable, especially the straps. I remembered L.L. Bean packs being great quality when I had one back in college, so I decided to try this one. My nephew was extremely pleased when he opened his Christmas gift. The two tones of teal and green were very fun in my opinion, and he picked up on that right away. After adjusting the straps and filling it with some of his other gifts, he had this pack on all the time for the rest of his holiday vacation.

I love this bag! Although I wish it came in a smaller size with this coloring :( Good quality material and zippers

Bought this pack in the Camp Green for a little trip to Georgia mountains. Had every compartment needed, even a side one for a water bottle. It's lightweight and didn't feel like I had to worry about babying it. The reflective 3M surfaces are a great plus for being out a little later at your destination! I plan on taking this pack many places in the future!

I really don't know why others didn't like this style. The backpack is perfect. I have been looking for this style for a long time. It's a great price for a quality backpack and I couldn't be happier. The color-block colors are perfect. I was so happy to find it!

For the last two years I have purchased one of your book pack backpacks for a back to school Fill the Backpack student. These are great because they are so sturdy and large. Anything from LL Bean will last through many seasons.

I remember all the "cool" kids having these backpacks 15-20 years ago when I was in school. Was excited to get one for my Kindergartener. Debated on size but super happy I went with the original, he will grow into it nicely and not too big for Kinder. Should last a few years at least.

I bought this bag in the Plum color to use as my 2 year old's diaper bag - it's perfect! I have a larger version of this bag that I've had for 16 years - still going strong! This smaller version is just as sturdy and attractive. The water bottle pocket is a great addition, perfect for her water cup or my keys and phone. The inside has plenty of room for diapers, wipes and a change of clothes, plus whatever else we need for the day. I highly recommend this bag! It will be perfect for when she starts school in a few years - and I am positive she will use it for years to come!

This backpack is the perfect size and light weight. Straps are curved so my 4 year old grandson can easily put it in by himself. I image he will be able to use it for many years.

Great quality product. This purchase is for my grandson starting pre-k. I bought this same backpack for my oldest grandson five years ago. He carries it to school every day and it is still in excellent condition.

I have purchased one of these book bags and a matching lunchbox for each of my four sons. I absolutely love them and highly recommend. They are the perfect size for elementary-aged children and hold up very well. The reflective strip is an added safety feature I appreciate.

Great quality product. Bring back the original book pack in ALL black. Black is so cool and so basic. Lots of adults would buy it. We can't buy the kiddie stuff, but the rest of the pack is excellent, and looks do matter. Please consider your whole consumer market.

We just love our LL Bean backpacks! They are sturdy and durable and my two boys have been using them for 2 years and they still look great. Thanks for adding water bottle holder on side that is so nice. I just wish LLBean would make more solid colors in the original size. The colors are ugly and we already have siblings with a red and blue. There is no pink or purple for girls and the amber color is ugly along with weird color pockets on the green. Why can't LL Bean make a regular orange like the junior backpack comes in or just Kelly green or lime green. LL Bean needs more boy solid colors that are fun! Who wants muted grown up colors for elementary kids. I just wish LL Bean would make better colors as I want my kids to have different color backpacks.

This was a gift so I did not receive it directly. The thank you I got indicated that it was a fine back pack and would serve nicely for the student selected to receive it. Good use of Bean Bucks! Only problem I ran into was on shipping costs and what they were applied to and what they are not. No reflection on the product, but LLBean could clarify better in check out. I might have been able to use ALL my bean Bucks. But, good product and donated to a back pack drive. If you have Bean Bucks you aren't using, consider donating to a worthy cause. LLBean could also have replied to an email I sent asking if they had a program that offered help with this. Maybe better as I searched on my own and found a school counselor who was very appreciative of the donation.

Great usual LLBean backpack, only complaint is the cord that you use to adjust the straps on one of the arms keeps slipping through, making it nearly impossible to keep the straps at equal lengths, especially when there is any weight to the contents. Pretty frustrating.

I was worried the backpack would be too small for my 2nd grader but it's the perfect size! It's big enough to hold his school folders, etc. with a jacket and lunchbox inside

This is the first L.L. Bean backpack I've purchased my 1st grader. I was very happy with everything except the monogram. It's definitely off-center both vertically and horizontally. I was hoping L.L. Bean took more care. I wish I had just left it plain because I know it will bug me all year!

Gift for my Grandson for school. He was so excited to get it!! He picked it out himself!
