This is a great backpack. Oldest child has been using for 4 years. Machine wash on delicate with no problem. Youngest child's tore at the zipper when washed and company easily replaced as purchase was less than a year from when it tore and washing directions were followed. I know this bag will last for lots of years. Highly recommend these backpacks and lunch bags.

This backpack is perfect for my middle schooler! He loves the color and all the compartments. Bonus for the laptop sleeve section as he will be bringing his laptop home almost daily.

Awesome backpack! Love the print. The fabric seems quite sturdy. It held up to three weeks of camp and still looks brand new (which is more than I can say about my last backpack from a different source). I'm thinking it should last a school year just fine. I'm a huge pocket fan, so all the nooks and crannies for stuff make me happy! Overall, this is a great purchase. Highly recommend.

Big, spacious bag that will last a few years. Came in the mail so fast!

Bought this on clearance. It is perfect for a weekend away. Lots of pockets. One is plushy soft for devices. Top grab loop. Stuffs smoothly under airplane seat. Nylon is plastic-backed so it is water-resistant but not waterproof. Meant for a kids book pack. Not sure it would hold up to heavy notebooks, etc? The bottom is not reinforced like the old versions.

Nice and roomy bookpack. We initially worried if this is too big for our child, but it is not. Purchased to accommodate a new lunch bag that is deeper than smaller backpack. Really like the double-zipped pockets that are good to put small items (front one) and a tablet/laptop (the larger one. The thin pocket inside the main compartment is great for thin folders.

I have bought two of these backpacks to carry my emergency medication, supplies, and IV pump, for my continuous IV infusion for pulmonary hypertension. They have held up to every day continuous use they never get a day off except when I wash them. They come out like the day I bought them. I have been using LLBean back packs for 21 years . I rely on them to keep my medication and supplies safe and dry , for when an emergency arises I know that I can handle it.becsuse of the packs design hold everything I need organized and right at hand. I also enjoy the matching lunchboxes too! Thanks LLBean for creating my constant companion I am free to go anywhere as long as my pack is with me.

It holds an enormous amount of clothes, etc for my 10 day trip to Ireland. Glad I didn't chose something smaller. My first backpack.

I used these bookbags 20 years ago when I was in school and now order them for my kids! They are indestructible! The handle the abuse from Middle School through High School and barely look worn! Absolutely love them!

Really excellent backpacks. Got one 5 years ago for my K kiddo. He's still using it in 4th. Now my 2nd grader has finally realized the media-branded bags fall apart, and I got her this one. It's well built and I feel like it will last her at least through middle school. Also, adorable pattern (tye dye).

As with all our LL Bean products. Top notch quality! Hopefully this one lasts my daughter years like my son's did when he was in elementary school.

Great backpack! Durable and an applicable amount of space! This bag can fit a binder or two(depending on size), several notebooks, several books, and even has a large pocket for a computer or folders. Contains a small pouch pocket in the second big zipper for chargers or other medium-sized items. Durable side water bottle holders. Love the embroidery option for initials! Great backpack overall and would highly recommend for school or for any other need for a durable, well put together backpack.

You just can't beat the durability of these backpacks. Just replaced one that my son (a sophomore) had since 4th grade.
