The strap ripped clean off of one side and the other was starting to fray. Our other llbean packs have lasted for over 6 years. Extremely disappointed in this bag.

I bought this bag for my son. This is the second backpack he got. I think this will be his last since LLBean products has quality and can last. His first backpack was from LLBean as well. I bought that for him when he was in pre-K .

I ordered this bag for my 9th grader and only after a couple of months of school the straps broke and they told me to wait until January for it to come back in stock and now they dont carry the color my AUTISTIC son has very disappointed I am currently looking for something similar (must be hunter green) to replace his bag that is still under the warranty

So disappointed. My brother got this. He put kinda heavy stuff in it, but it wasnt super heavy because he is in only 4th grade. After 4 months of use it broke. The strap just broke clean off the bag. This bag wasnt cheap, so I was expecting better quality. This bag looks cool with all the many pockets, but really those pockets make it harder to put stuff in. I will probably just go back to Lands Ends bags. They are cheaper, last longer, and are roomier. Disappointed

Our 11 year old Grandaughter had this item on here Christmas list. I ordered it and it arrived very quickly. A happy young lady on Christmas morning!

Bought this backpack in the light purple color. Love the size with the capacity and compartment to hold a lot of stuff. Plus, its good quality. I would buy again.

We buy the Book Packs for our granddaughters. They like the packs we bought them 3 years ago and wanted a different color one for this school year.

Lots of space, compartments and pockets. Zippers work easily. Overall a well made product.

This was not a durable backpack. With two months of having it, the top handle ripped. LL Bean was great about allowing the return and giving store credit.

My son loved this book bag. He loves all the pockets and the fact thats its his favorite color.

Our second one of these for our second son, its pretty much the perfect backpack for middle school!

The bag lasted less than 12 weeks. Zipper is useless.

My daughter loves this book bag. Plenty of room for all of her stuff plus some.

Absolute disappointment. I bought two of these backpacks this summer and the zipper is constantly sticking on both of them. Zipper keeps getting stuck on the fabric that covers the zipper. Its a bad design! Why does a zipper need to be covered anyway? So disappointing for how much these backpacks cost!

Bottle holders ripped after a few days of usage, apparently this is common

This book bags zipper has already broken & the bag is unusable. Is there anyway it can be replaced?

Had an L.L Bean original backpack as a kid over 30 years ago and loved it. Needed a backpack again for travel and thought Id get another (but larger) one. I love it, holds so much and is quite sturdy!

This bag although sized at 9.5 inches deep barely fits my 10 yr old's 5th graders books, folders, notebooks. It is such a tight fit that I have too fix it for him every evening/morning to strategically place his school supplies. Would not recommend for child age 13 & up as recommended, unless they have lockers and/or use a ChromeBooks at least 90% of the time (meaning very lfew items to put in the bag daily- this bag cannot fit a lot). Bought for my daughter. She was not very happy with the way the straps fit around her neck but otherwise was a great purchase

Very disappointed to see that one of the outside mesh pockets already has a hole and my daughter has only been in school since August 17th. I grew up using these bags and they were nearly indestructible. I kept them for many, many years.

Quality has really gone down. I started purchasing these backpacks 20 years ago. They lasted forever and could really take the abuse that teens give out. Now they aren't flimsy and noticed made well. I doubt this latest backpack will last 4 months. I will definitely be shopping around for a less expensive option.

It felt like the straps at the top are too close so it pinches the neck a bit, so I gave it to my son.

This is a large backpack that is well made & has lots of room for everything, with just the right number of compartments to prevent items from getting lost inside. However, the straps are very stiff and this is surprisingly uncomfortable to wear.
