I bought two of these for my daughters 1998 or 1999 one of them lost hers 6 years ago was still in good shape my other daughter still has hers her daughter wants her back so I am buying both my grandkids there back pack this year

This makes the 2nd book pack I have purchased for my kids. The first son would destroy a backpack each year, changed to LL Bean and he still uses it today 6 years later and in great shape. So when my 7th grader wanted a new book pack there was no question, LL Bean all the way! Keep making them great

Overall backpack is great! Embroidered name is SO MUCH SMALLER than we anticipated. Almost looks comical.

We sent back 2 other brands of backpacks, but this was the keeper. My 5 year old is using it and while it is a little big for him now, he can still wear it and will grow into it over time. There are a lot of pockets and the backpack is very sturdy.

My Granddaughter loves this bag for school! She loves all the pockets to stay organized

This backpack is great - sturdy, lots of pockets, padded straps and a great color. I had one as a middle school and high school student (it lasted into college). That's why we bought one for our middle school student!

Over 29 years of teaching, this version of the LLBean bookpack has proven to be my "old reliable," specialized enough to help me organize all of the small items I carry, but simple enough to accommodate my ever changing organizational needs. It's also the perfect size for me to carry comfortably.

I have purchased these backpacks prior for my grandchildren who have now graduated. They lasted throughout middle and high school with no problem. This one is for my you gest grandson who just began high school. He requested one like I bought for his older sister.

Excellent quality, tons of space, plenty of separate compartments for organization. Not our first LL Bean backpack purchase, but the only reason we have bought new is because my daughter wanted a new color. She used her previous one for a few years and it is still in great condition, with no holes poking through the bottom the way most backpacks have by the end of the year. My oldest daughter is very rough on everything, and even hers made it through the school year hole-free

I bought this bag pack for my daughter five years ago. Its in mint condition and I just washed it and it looks great. She is very tough on things. Prior to this I bought a bag pack each year.

This bookpack was bought as a gift for a grammar school child whose family could not afford one. It will be given to a needy child on the first day of school. My daughter asked me to buy it as she was stacking up pencils, book covers, pads, pens, etc. to fill the bookpack. I was happy to do it. Thank you for making so many wonderful items.

As expected- a great backpack that's durable, light weight, simply a great classic. This is my daughter's third LL Bean backpack- the first would have lasted up until now for high school, but Tate's and preferences change with age!

This back pack was purchased for my grandson as he enters kindergarten. He loves the color he picked (Navy Blue) and his initials monogrammed on it. I anticipate that it will hold up as well as his older sister's has, that was purchased 5 years ago and is still going strong. I offered to purchase her a new one to start middle school next year but at this point she still loves the current one!

My daughter loves the space the Deluxe Bookpack offers for her computer, notebooks and lunch box. Our children have only ever had L.L.Bean backpacks, and this was the perfect upgrade for middle school!
