I bought this for my daughter to take to preschool after the one she had started wearing out after only a short time. She loves the pink color and it's a very nice good quality pack. I just wish it were a tiny bit bigger. Her teacher has a three ring binder that she sends home daily for things like classwork and important announcements. The binder fits, but without much wiggle room. That aside, it should hold up well and last through preschool if not into kindergarten and beyond.

My 5yo daughter absolutely loves the pink color (though it's a bit loud for me) and it's a perfect size for her (she wears 5T on top and 6T on bottom clothes). It seems rugged and well-made, will hopefully last her a couple of years at least!

I already had the Deluxe Book Bag and I knew this would be well made and serviceable. It did not disappoint. Good zippers, all covered by a placket. All reinforced, sealed seams. Color was true to the photo and to my original bag. And it was exactly the size stated! All in all I wanted to be able to use this bag, but found it was a tad too small! Bean's is great with returns, no problem there either!

I love that I could monogram her name on the backpack.

The size of this bag is absolutely perfect for my preschooler and my kindergartener (who is on year three of using her backpack). I love the addition of the stretchy side pocket this year -- perfect for water bottles. It fits everything my kids need -- change of clothes, lunch box, masks in front pockets, and whatever other miscellany they pick up during the day. My only wish is that they came in more colors/patterns!

Absolutely love these bags for my little ones. My two year old wears it around the house all the time.

My 3 year old is a little over 3 feet and this is perfect for him! I know because it's LL Bean it will last and size wise it will be perfect until at least kindergarten if not first grade (it's a little big now). Would absolutely recommend!

Fits well, light weight, handy pockets, sturdy. My son is 7 and wears it comfortably. Seems like it will last a couple years.

This was for my 7 year old grand daughter for 1st grade. She picked it out herself online. It had to be pink. Not slightly pink, but PINK. And strong. She will have a binder and lunch box to put in it and did not want something that was flimsy and going to fall apart. Her sister and brother are still using the LLBean backpacks I bought for them going into the 1st grade. The larger size. But this cutie wanted the smaller, lighter version so I got it trusting in the LLBean guarantee.

Loved the bright pink color (her brother has a navy blue one) and it hold just the right number of things for her start in school.

I'm a teacher and I see endless book bags come through my elementary classroom. I have seen many zippers break and holes in corners. I remember the nostalgia of getting a book bag during summer visits to Maine and I now understand why my mom insisted we buy from Beans. The quality has remained consistent. This year I was eager to share the tradition of getting my daughter a book bag for her kindergarten year.

Wonderful quality and the perfect size for my preschooler. It fits a regular folder perfectly, where not all backpacks do. I know it'll last for years to come.

This is a perfect size for my 4 year old. He is about to turn 5 so we got one for home personal use and then one for school. He loved the colors and we got the monogram. Customer service was great helping us apply the coupon we had for it. I think this bag can store up to 5lbs or more and fit things well. Good quality material

This is the third LL Bean backpack I've bought between my two children. The Junior size is perfect for my rising kindergartener, and I expect it to hold up for at least 2 school years, as my daughter's did. Honestly, her's wasn't even worn out, she just needed a bigger size. She still uses her junior sized for sleepovers at Nana's house and carrying misc. stuff. Highly, highly recommend these backpacks. They are not any more expensive than the plastic ones from big box stores, but will last SO much longer. (Left-3 years old, middle-1 year old, right-brand new)

I've been giving these packs for baby presents for years and they are always well received. The colors/patterns can change over time. This bright pink is much better than the dusty pink they had for years. Parents love them since they can be used until the kids are 6 or 7 and will last until they are outgrown. We often get pics years later of kids still using their packs.

I bought this backpack shortly after my son was born to work as a diaper bag. I monogrammed his little name on there and figured it'd last a year... It lasted until he went to KINDERGARTEN!! And the only reason it was replaced was because we wanted him to have a special new backpack to get him excited for his "big boy school." I was so impressed with the outstanding quality that I have since purchased it every single time one of my friends are having a baby. I've been making this a baby gift for over 6 years now! I just order it with the monogram of the new baby's name and it never fails to impress. Recommend 110%!!
