This backpack is very sturdy and roomy! It is my son's second year using it , and it is still in great condition.

I travel internationally all the time. This is a perfect backpack for all the stuff I need to bring! I love that it has three compartments and little zipped pockets on the top and front. The front pocket was perfect for a small blanket for layovers in cold airports. I highly recommend this for quick weekends away or carry on luggage!!

Great pockets! tons of room for all your books/binders/computer. My 9th grader got it in black. Looks great. She doesn't like using her locker so this is perfect. You can carry everything in this bag. Everything! It expands nicely or if you carrying less, you can tighten the straps and it still looks clean and neat. It's not a heavy bulky bag which makes it even better. Sturdy straps. LLBean does school backpacks really well.

It was a birthday gift to my nephew! I had the best sales representative who explained in detail the pros and cons of buying this backpack rather than one next to it that had no logo! My nephew is a runner and it was pointed out to me that the L.L. Bean backpack had " clamps " so that the backpack did not bounce around while running. It is also sturdier! In talking to my nephew, who lives in Ct., he says that it is perfect! Thank you!

This is the best backpack I have ever owned. It is very comfortable for commuting to work with my laptop. Fits well. I live the small pocket up top for keys or my phone. Big side pouches hold an umbrella and water bottle no problem. Lots of roo. Highly recommend.

Easily carries my laptop and IPad and plenty of space for the other needed items. Good pockets for a quick storing through TSA. This fits my use of a backpack nicely.

My middle schooler seems to always carry everything he needs for the day in his backpack (and never use his school locker) including his lunch. This backpack has a huge capacity while still being comfortable to wear. The side straps compress the pack when he doesn't need as much room, and the non-mesh water bottle pockets are a bonus. Great backpack!

My granddaughter is very happy with the large size, many pockets, and holder for water bottle on the outside of the pack. Her older sister has the same pack and has used it for over a year in high school.

I bought this backpack for my daughters upcoming school year. She hasn't used it yet, but it seems far superior to her old ones that didn't last half the year. It's pricy, but if it does the job and holds up, I'm okay with that. She does wish there were more fun color options. She's only 11 and would like to be able to express herself and her personality more through prints and designs still. I can't attest to the actual durability yet.

Perfect for backpacking in Europe or a weekend getaway. It's hard to find a big backpack with 2 side water bottle pockets. There are 3 compartments, one in the front is good for toiletries/other necessities, middle for clothes and back for laptops or books. Then a stash pocket in the front and top that you can use for your cell phone or other things.

Another amazing product from LLBean! We've loved, used, and abused your backpacks across three busy kids who LOVE to fill them with a TON of books and gear. We got this new one pre-emptively because the strap seam on its predecessor was starting to stretch -- it did NOT tear, but knowing my crew, we felt like it didn't owe us a thing and we retired it to lighter duty :D

Huge, roomy, lots of pockets and holders. Holds all the things my son can stuff in it. Plus, it's study and well made. Perfect for middle school.

Great backpack! Holds my small laptop, tablet, and pocketbook!! Love the small access pocket for cellphone or storing chargers/cords. Love 2 pockets on the sides for water bottle or for my Yeti coffee tumbler. Has another pocket where I keep a folder of my paperwork.

This is the best pack I've ever owned! I used it for travel and intend to use it for college and work as well. Love the organization options and it fits perfect on my back and feels light while carrying it. I'm 5'7.

This backpack seems to be perfect for a middle schooler that has to carry literally every book and notebook all day long. And also has plenty of room for his lunchbox and water bottle and anything else he might need.

Son reports the padding and straps are comfortable. He goes to a huge high school so he has to pack his books far from his locker. Zippers are holding up to the wear and tear.

Really sturdy and big backpack. It has plenty of different compartments (and compartments within compartments). It is very versatile. My one complaint though is it only just barely fits a full-size 1-liter nalgene water bottle in the side mesh pockets.

Great backpack! I bought this for my sixth grade son because he needed a bigger backpack. I thought it might be a bit overkill but it's perfect. Very roomy and he loves all the pockets and compartments.
