I got so many compliments on the shoes when I wore them a few days ago. I love them…I wore these shoes when I was in high school and loved them then…they were Spaulding brand. Brings back wonderful memories. I’m now 85; can’t wait to wear them again. A friend took a picture from waist down; I had black dress pants on. I would send the pic but I don’t know how to transfer the pic to this review.

Very cute but shoe runs very small and narrow.. also low arch

This is my first experience with shoes from Eastland. First time in my life that I’d ordered shoes online & not be concern about the width. I don’t have to wear heavy Sox, I can wear these without Sox!! The width in these shoes are very narrow. I have narrow feet, size 9N. They fit me perfectly and they are comfortable. No breaking in. I love my saddle shoes. Takes me back to my HS days. I’ve gotten compliments.

The saddle oxfords took me back to high school when I was a cheerleader. Bur I will not be trying any cartwheels. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I tried them indoors the day they arrived. Wore for 6 hours - still comfy. Then wore them for 8 hours while shopping. Still comfy.

I LOVE these shoes. I have had them in black and white for several years and wear them still at least a few times a month. I have moderately wide feet and while I would probably prefer a wide option if available, these work well. I purchased in my usual size. I have plantar’s fasciitis though and the firm sole makes these shoes VERY comfortable. They take a little while to break in as you would expect with this type of shoe, but are still in excellent condition after years of use (approximately 4 I believe.) I generally style them with dresses, skirts and ankle length pants.

I posted my newly arrived shoes and my posted lit up w/ likes . I enjoyed their comfort so much I kept them on cleaning the house. I wore them to work today and every co worker loved them & I have a high collection of shoes- But Everyone loves these including me ?

Very good, quite a bit of room in the toe area, fits my skinny left heel OK, very cute/old-fashioned saddle shoes :)

These are the cutest shoes ever. I am size 10 and they are true to size, and comfortable. I was expecting a break-in period but they fit right out of the box.

OMG, I am obsessed with my new saddles. Wore these in Disneyland for three straight days dressed as a Mouseketeeer from the 1950's (as a Halloween costume. 20,000 steps every day and the comfort was phenomenal. The insole is incredibly padded and the rubber sole just adds to the cushion. No pinching or discomfort whatsoever. I adore the look of these, and judging by the literal dozens (plural) of compliments in just three days, I'm guessing others do, as well. Fit is perfectly TTS. Bought these for a costume but I will be wearing the heck out of these well beyond Halloween. So cute with dresses and rompers. Cute white ankle socks are a must, IMO.

Love these shoes. So adorable. I get so many compliments every time I wear them. Perfect for a gamine aesthetic also. I normally take an 8W and ordered an 8W. (The box says this is a 38.5 Euro. I often order a Euro 39 if there is no wide available in shoes.) Love how my toes have wiggle room but the shoes aren’t too long either. Will probably be even more comfortable after breaking them in.

Very comfortable! The putter is not stiff.

These shoes are very cute, just not the right look/feel for my daughter. The main issue was actually the memory foam in the foot bed (near the heel, not the toe). It raised her foot up out of the shoe to a strange/uncomfortable height.

It's the heel cup, it' s too shallow.

Sometimes I can wear a 7.5 and no 8 was available so I decided to try an 8 but the 7.5 was a bit too small in the toe. Excellent construction.

I didn't like these shoes as a child, but thought it would be fun to wear them now. They do get compliments from the people who remember when this style was popular. They have a contoured footbed which provides some support, but they are not cushioned. They are very comfortable, even without that. I wear them primarily for low-impact exercise and line dancing, but they are also great for just running errands. I bought my usual size. The length is fine, but I hope that they will stretch out a little because the medium width does seem narrow. It surprises me because I used to have narrow feet. Not anymore, I guess. I wear them with those little socks that don't show, but maybe I'll eventually be able to wear them with thicker socks. I hope this review helps someone who is on the fence about these nice shoes.

Ran short and had to return

Comfy tight out of box. Wearing my true size with thin socks. Doesnt hurt little bone sticking out below pinky toe (sorry if that’s TMI)I probably would go up half a size if I wore thick socks.. Purchased the olive, which looks good with brown or green. Like that this option has less contrast with the chestnut leather. If your heel slips too much in back, add a heel stick on. I have narrow heels, and I didn’t need to do that.

I love the shoe! I like purchasing through Zappos. It is an easy purchase with great quality, and if necessary, returns are easy.

When I saw the photo of the saddle shoes, I knew I had to have them - I wore them throughout high school as part of my (Catholic) school uniform and I think I even have a picture of my mom wearing saddle shoes when she was in high school. My sister says I can wear them to my next high school class reunion.

Darling! WATCH for these….they’re coming back!! Super comfortable, and wearable…..beautifully crafted! Size 7 is a perfect fit and will allow some room for socks. I also tried the 6.5, which was ALSO a great fit, but no extra room for socks, so kept the 7. I wore these all through high school (yeh, I’m old!) and am CERTAIN, they are about to return with a vengeance!
