I wanted to replace my previous New Balance shoes but couldn't find them in wide width. I liked the gray color, not as conspicuous as white, and the shoestrings stay tied without having to double knot them. I took LLBean's advice and got 1/2 size larger, which fits fine.

I have always worn New Balance. I wear this particular on the recommendation of my Foot and ankle specialist

Excellent replacement for NB940. This shoe is an excellent replacement for my 940's, which are no longer made. I needed to go to an xwide from a wide because the toe box on the 990 wasn't quite as roomy as the 940. That made the 990 a little too roomy in the heel, but my orthotics help with that.

Love the 990v series: I have been using the 990v shoe exclusively since 2012. I use it daily for exercise (jogging), and just regular walking. It is my all day shoe.

Show Shape Fits Me: The shoe's design fits my feet, and does not press on my big toe because the shape is straighter on the inner side of the shoe.

Best tennis shoe: This tennis shoe is well worth the money. Very comfortable shoe!!

Great Shoes! V6 of the 990 series seems heavier but more supportive than V5. These shoes are working well for me on the treadmill, dog-walking five times a day, and as everyday/all-day.

Best for health shoe: These are the absolute best tennis shoes. Ivuse to workout in and walk daily and have no problums. I have feet issuses but with these tennus shoes i am able to do most anything.
