I LOVE these shoes. I exercise by walking 3-4 miles on the treadmillwhich can be tough on your feet, especially if you have a bunion (which I do)! These shoes have alleviated 90% of my foot pain. BUY THEM! They're worth the extra dough!!

I have bought so many pairs of shoes ! Finally the right fit! I couldn’t decide on a color so I bought 3 colors! I have arthritis, plantar fasciitis diabetic feet, I thought Brooks were my brand , then I tried Hoka , a big No.

For over 30 years I have had the best experience with New Balance. Have tried others but nothing is as comfortable as NB.
I'd also recommend:
Taryn Rose for a dress shoe, but that brand has disappeared. SAS for their comfortable sandels

Ordered W, usually wear M width, shoe is a bit narrower than the previous model. Very comfortable walking shoe, room to add my personal orthotics. I have pretty bad plantar fasciitis happy with my purchase

I love the NB 990's. Have been wearing them for about 20-25 years. Comfortable out of the box, even with my wonky feet. Normally buy 2-3 pair a year, using old ones for yard work.

I wanted to replace my previous New Balance shoes but couldn't find them in wide width. I liked the gray color, not as conspicuous as white, and the shoestrings stay tied without having to double knot them. I took LLBean's advice and got 1/2 size larger, which fits fine.

I do a lot of daily walking and traveling - these have been perfect for both of those. Comfortable, great support and my feet don't hurt at the end of the day. Highly recommend and will probably get another pair

The size and fit were fine, it's just that I have very thin, long boney feet and the fit wasn't good for me. I have trouble walking in everything.

Best athletic shoe everespecially if one has pronation issues. Light weight but superb support. At my age (85) I'm past running or even jogging but I walk 3 miles most days in this shoe and always find it comfortable. I've worn this style of New Balance shoes for years and they surpass anything else that I have tried.
A bit pricey but you get what you pay for and they never go on sale and never are available for a discounted price.
I wear an 8.5 shoe but have always ordered a size 9 in this style.

They feel great! This is my second pair of 990s and these feel the same as my last pair that I bought in Dec. 2021. It's very high quality. I love that they are made in the USA, not China!

Fit very well, love the small reflectors, color is great. I have a difficult time getting shoes that fit but these are good and have ties so that I can loosen them and get my foot in even though I have a very high arch!

I love this shoe style. About 6 months ago, I was fit to a pair of NB Fresh Foam X1080w13. I wasn't able to adapt to those shoes. The thick soles threw me off balance and the toes (medium width) were too narrow to accommodate my troublesome toes. The New Balance 990v6 is perfect for my feet, and I am glad that I finally ordered myself a new pair.

Bought these because I am on my feet all day as a veterinarian. Sometimes up to 12 hours a day. They are extremely supportive and probably the best shoes I’ve ever owned from a support/comfort standpoint. Took away a few style points because my kids call these my “dad shoes” and my “1900’s shoes.”
