I had to loosen the laces quite a bit to get these wide enough to fit without pain around the middle/top of my foot, but after doing so, they are comfortable to walk in. I walk about 5 miles in them without pain and although not as 'bouncy' as my Hokas, they feel solid and are way more stylish!!!

I am recovering from a broken 5th metatarsal (bone leading to the baby toe), and New Balance was one of the recommended brands for starting to walk without the surgery boot. I tried size 6 1/2 in a store -- it was comfy in the arch and wide enough to be great for the outside of the foot and the broken bone, but when rolling forward in walking stride I felt pain in the big toe of the injured foot, even though my big toe was not broken. I was able to order size 7 on Zappos but this one is a bit too long toe-to-heel, so not the best for my recovering foot bones that are still rather stiff. On the plus side, this shoe is supportive and lightweight. It looks attractive and not clunky for a wider shoe. My feet are wider in the toes and narrow in the heel, and my non-injured foot felt great in this shoe, the heel did not dig in or slip out. If it wasn't for my injury I would probably have kept it.

Beautiful color. These are actually long for me but the half-size smaller 7.5 width at arch/instep felt too snug although plenty of room in the toe. So I went with these 1/2 size larger even though they are really too long—perhaps in wider width the 7.5 would work better.

These shoes made my feet look so big! And they felt too wide in heel.

These are very comfortable shoes, particularly after going up a 1/2 size to accommodate my wider feet. My only problem is the Honeycomb color is not true to the picture. Instead of being a bright, shiny yellow as pictured, the predominant color is a darker, matte mustard color. Took the star off purely for the color misrepresentation and disappointment.

Have worn NB for several years and versions of this style. Very, very comfortable. They looked long in the toe on me. My husband even noticed this, so sent them back.

I love the these shoes but they just won't work for my feet. I ordered three sizes, three different pairs, but my injury to left foot will not permit me to wear them comfortably. I had to send them all back. What heartbreak. But if you have good feet, order them! you will love them. They look soo good!

I loved these shoes, but too small for me. I have neuropathy in my left foot and they were too tight. I then ordered it in a half size larger in a wide. It is better but I feel that in the impacted foot I need it just a little wider. I hope I can get that, but this pair must go back as they would never work. This is a wonderful shoe. I recommend it to all you are looking for a great shoe.

These run long and super wide! The M width is wider than a men’s shoe

These are wonderful shoes like walking on a cloud, but the 8.5 was just too large for me. Yesterday I ordered another pair from Zappos, but in a size 8 W. I hope they will work better for me.

This shoe is like walking on a cloud. I would recommend it highly, especially if you have foot problems of any kind.

Beautiful shoe; cushioning is great. Too bad it was short on me.

I like the funky style of the black and white fabric. The insoles are very cushy and supportive. BUT sadly the shoes run short. I had to return. (I love the ease of returning items to Zappos!)

I need a bit more support than this shoe provides. I know it has a lot of cushion but because of that, it is not firm enough for me. I seem to sink into it. I will return for New Balance 880 which is not a cushy but is more supportive.

Fit was perfect and love the cushion and stability. It has become my go-to walking shoe. I can probably run in it too but for now I'm running in Hokas Cliftons. But this is a great feeling show and I'm happy to use it for walking only.

Nice shoe but felt wide. Usually wear a narrow width but with swollen feet thought medium would work. Also color was not as expected. It was more blue than grey.

These are great- true to size, roomy toe box, great cushion. The tongue area just places too much pressure on my instep and give me a feeling of numbness or lack of circulation (I do have veins that run right along there- can’t figure out what causes the sensation) so they’re going back. Bummed bc otherwise a GREAT shoe!

The foam insole is so comfortable, 1089’s never disappoint with toe box space either. I don’t have a wide foot, still quite average as I’ve reached 50 and it’s spread a tad. The issue for me is instep- after wearing for about 30 min around the house I get a numbness in my I step to toes bc I think the thickness of the tongue hits me wrong. Not sure if they’re keepers only bc if that- everything else is spot on. This has been a lifelong issue for me with instep. Sitting makes it worse, but I tend to wear these a good majority of my day when not working so sitting or standing I need no pressure there.
