This hat is very lightweight and feels excellent in hand. The materials used are great and the quality is there. The silhouette is sleek and doesn't look out of place in the city or on the trails. However, all these awesome qualities are held back by the back strap. I consider myself to have a pretty normal sized head, and the back strap is just short enough for my sizing that it can't be tucked into the band of the hat but long enough that it looks really unkempt dangling. Other hats in this category have solved this issue for a wide range of head sizes, through velcro, lengthening the strap, or a more intuitive buckle, and it's disappointing that Arc'teryx seems to have overlooked this design element in their newest headwear.

Great fit, nice material and it straps down secure. It looks great and it performs nicely while running.

Great hat--the waterproof coating works well with rain and snow. The logo is the perfect size, and the shape holds. Buy it in a few colors...

Such great quality! My teenage son plays tennis 5 times a week in the southern heat. He loves this hat! And it washes like a dream.

Nice, lightweight, well fitting hat. Only issue is that the strap in the back doesn't stay tucked inside the sleeve and hangs down from the hat.

I bought this hat for the summer to protect myself from the sun. Super comfortable, great fit and adjustable at the back. I was able to clip the hat easily to my backpack when I did not need it for a moment. This is also a great gift.

This is the best hat out there. Great fit, washable, held up for years of daily use. Easy to quickly tighten when the wind licks up.
Please make this in black with the black bird again. The yellow on black is too loud. But I still have one.

Best hat I've ever owned. Wear it almost every day - whether rock climbing or simply hanging out. I have a hard time finding a hat that fits well - but this one fits me perfectly. Also very high quality material and extremely durable. Not sure the trickery involved but somehow unlike many of the other hats I've owned this one does not leave any stains and does not fade one bit!

I've tried a lot of running caps and this is the best one. Lightweight, but doesn't fly off. Doesn't hurt my head after wearing it for a few hours. Sweat-wicking and also looks great. Got it in 2 colours now!

Very happy with this hat. Got lots of compliments. Very comfy and breathable. Low profile.
Bought it in the fluidity color. Its very nice . You can use it for your outdoor activities or for a walk around town. No issues with the strap. Has the perfect brim. I would definitely buy another one. Hopefully will be available in a couple more colors.

Very nice looking cap - clean design, light weight, nice minimalistic embroidery and comfortable on head.
I wore it for to pubs and and also for a few hikes and the quality seems great so far.
Wouldn't mind a similar design with a bigger bird.

Very lightweight and soft to the touch. Don't know why others are complaining about the strap being too short. It's kind of a given with all hats with straps and those with large heads. I have a fairly large head and the strap hanging is not a big deal as others have pointed it out to be. Would definitely recommend.

I consider myself to be somewhat of an amateur hat reviewer. I have set out to buy a different ball cap each month and this is my 6th one. I rate the hats based off of 5 standards. Looks front facing, looks back facing, style, use, brim design.
This hat excels in all but one of these categories.
Front Facing Style : In short, this hat looks great sitting forward. It fits the head well, not leaving a big tuft of air above the forehead like some hats. It fits well, and is comfortable and snug. The material does not irritate the skin. Simply put, the hat looks darned good.
Back Facing Style : this is the one category where I believe this hat falls short. The gap on the back of the hat is too tall. It looks a little awkward when worn backwards. I flip my hat from forwards to backwards habitually so this is a bit of a bummer, yet I will say that I think it still looks good enough to be a back facing hat.
Style : the hat is cool. All black with a not so noticeable logo in the center. It's athletic, but also looks nice enough to be taken to bars, or dinners. The hat is clearly a high quality.
Use : I run in this hat, I powerlift in this hat. I go to bars, to dinner, I road trip in this hat. I tried it on with a climbing helmet and it felt fine. No pressure in the center on the top of the hat. I plan on taking it up rainier this summer. After I run in the hat, I wash it under the sink, but I haven't seen sweat lines on it yet, and I consider myself a salty sweater. I have shamelessly worn it to the gym, and then to dinner in the same day.
Brim Design : some brims are too arced. Other too flat. This hat is the Goldilocks of hats. I am not a flatbill man. I was a little worried opening up the envelope this was shipped in, yet the hat held up throughout the shipping process. It seems pliable so I will be careful not to abuse it too much when I can help it.
I don't rate the hats on fit because that is relative to the wearer. What fits me might not fit you and definitely wouldn't fit the rock.
Like I said I buy hats and critique them often. I would recommend this to anyone. And I am considering buying another so I can split them between active and caudal use. Cheers!

I love this hat! Great materials and quality. Do agree the strap could be a little better in back. But nonetheless it's a great product. Hope they come out with more colors!

Borrows from the same DNA as the Elaho Cap but is presented in a traditional baseball cap style. Material is awesome and super breathable. The two front panels are structured + has a squatchee (top button on baseball caps) which contributes to its great shape.

Almost the perfect cap! The fit and finish of this cap is excellent!
I'm very picky about what cap I wear. My favourite cap was 20 years old and it showed! While it's still loved, I've been forbidden to wear it in public. Sothe search for a new one began. My search began and ended here. I have found a new favouriteno break-in needed. It felt like I'd been wearing it for years the minute I put it on.
I've got a pretty big head, but it's easily adjusted and should fit many head shapes and sizes. I only wish the adjustment strap were longer. The colours are pretty weak, toobut I guess that's subjective. The gold Arcteryx logo on the black cap looks great! Kinda retro.

Really wish the black version did not have the yellow/gold logo. The fit is perfect. The material is perfect. Everything about it is great but why the yellow logo on black? looks tacky. Black or grey would be better then you could where it more dressed up/formally, and would have a sharper look.

I ended up getting this in the "forage" color, which unfortunately isn't exactly the same shade of "forage" as their shoes are, but it doesn't make a huge difference. I like the strap on the back, and wish more of their caps came with this type of strap. It ought to be just a tad longer, as it tends to slip out with how I have it adjusted. I'd like to get another one in black, but the yellow logo is a bit too tacky for my tastes (wish it came with a white logo!).

Overall, this is probably one of the most comfortable hats I own. Material and construction both feel high quality and I like the way it fits. As many have said in these reviews already, I ran into the issue where the back strap was too short to fit back into the hat and would flop around and look sloppy in my opinion. I have a 7 1/2 inch head which I feel is not large enough to warrant such an issue. I ended up putting two keepers from a 20mm rubber watch strap I wasn't using onto the back strap of the hat to secure the loose end. So far this has worked great and has pretty much solved the issue for me. If you don't have a spare watch strap, I'm sure a small O ring or a loop of electrical tape would also do the trick. Is it slightly ridiculous that I have to find my own solution to a seemingly obvious problem on a performance oriented hat? Yes. Is the hat comfortable enough and good looking enough for me to forgive it? I'd say so.

Owned this hat for around a week and can't say enough great things about it. Great materials, wonderful shape, embroidered logo, and offers peak into the brands no nonsense approach to design. This gets a 4/5 due to my concern that some customers head sizes may breach the threshold allowance of the back strap to remain fixed in it's tucked in position. Any smaller and I would be forced to have it potentially dangling around when moving and losing the element of sleekness worth preserving by lengthening the back strap on the V2 revision.

I purchased this hat about a month ago and I love the fit and the way it looks from the front, however, there are two things on this hat that stop it from being perfect. The first is the size of the rear window or opening at the back of the hat. The opening is abnormally large, which can cause hair to stick out strangely and for a frequent backwards hat wearer such as myself, it can look a bit unsavory. Second is that while the hat can accommodate larger heads, there is no way to arrest the strap when it is extended, leaving the strap to stick out freely.

It was too small for my head. I got headache with this cap. The yellowish Arcteryx sign looks great on black. The beam and the cap were too small for my face.

I got this hat as a gift. As usual very high quality and fits great. But it has a major flaw....the back strap loosens as I move my head. Also the strap just flops around as for some reason it doesn't include a way to secure the extra material. A simple loop would have worked fine.
