The size and fit were good and they were relatively comfortable however I thought they wore a little too fast on the bottom for $200. shoes.

Fit well, felt good , I just thought it wore a little too fast for the price.

I wore the 990v5 for years. I don't like the 990v6 as much. It's ok, but doesn't feel as good or sturdy as the v5.

Fit and size were great. Really comfortable! Would have liked to have purchased the 990v5's which is the most comfortable sneaker for my problematic feet. The 990v6 is the next best thing. Extremely happy! Keep me posted if you have any sales on either sneaker in my size, as I'd like to buy another pair.

Too narrow. Need a 6EE

I have ordered the 990 many times. YThis is version 6 but it is an inchlonger than the version 6 I am replacing. it feels like a boat on my foot.

I have purchased 5 or 6 990 's. New Balance has taken a step back in quality. Cost cutters reduced the amount of material used to make the shoe., even eliminated the plastic lace support on the top of the shoe.

Sizing seemed entirely size longer than previous versions.

I am a woman. What I need is the late, great 990V5 in a men's size 6 with a 6E width (I have short, very wide feet). Alas, the 990V5 has been discontinued so I tried the 990V6 in a 7 4E. As I feared it is too long and not quite wide enough around the bunion. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to send them back. It's probably a great shoe (NB) usually is, but it's not for me.

it narrower than previous 4EE models

I've been wearing 990's since v2. This is the first pair that actually hurt me. After a week of breaking them in, I ended up with significant ankle pain; I think this was caused by the width being narrower than the v5s *and* the new lacing pattern, which encouraged lacing them too tight. I'm returning them, though I may exchange for the next width up, just so I don't have to go through the hassle of changing and trying lots of brands.

Seems a little narrower than in the past. I’ve worn this shoe for years and ordered the same size, but it seems a little tighter than my others. Thought maybe they would loosen up, but it’s been a week and feels the same. May need a 4E width if I order again. Also, I don’t like the new design with the white sides. I need black shoes for work and they used to be all black or dark gray, but now it’s white on the sides and I don’t like them as much. After wearing for 2 days, the white parts have black marks all over them and look terrible, whereas the dark grey looked good for longer. Hope they change them back next update.

Too large.. Felt very loose. Inside sole was too firm

I thought these would be unbelievably comfortable. the right one was 'fine' not crazy comfortable but not uncomfortable either. the left one felt like there was something digging into my arch. I just couldn't deal with it and for the price of these it wasn't worth it.

The top of the shoe is too high, it digs into the front of your leg when walking. Returning shoe.

I bought some 990 series shoes in 2017, and they fit well. This current pair, I feel like they were perhaps built on a different last. They are not nearly 'deep' enough for my foot. The width (4E) feels narrower than my last pair. I can not even lace them properly because they do not fit my foot.

In comparison of the original 990 I ordered 4 years ago, the toe felt to be too snug and the shoe just does not fit my foot.

I've been a big fan of the 990v5 sneakers for several years, but the new v6 is uncomfortable and seems cheaply made. The tongue is much narrower and pushed down on my foot, which became painful after about 20 min of walking. Returned.
