I use these for walking, about 3 miles a day. They are comfortable, but with no arch support, I'm concerned about potential damage to my feet.

Ran comfortably for a twenty mile run- the extra wide shoe gave my toes lots of room! Great support and ample cushion. Slightly heavy shoe but not a bad thing for long training runs. Doubt I'll actually run the marathon in them, but that's fine. I'm very happy with them!

I run for 40-minutes 5x a week. I love New Balance and get (2) new pair every year. Hoever this version, i MUST tie the shoe laces in a double knot. If I do not they will come apart. Have you cjhanged the materail? Very weird

These shoes are comfortable, but they have a much stiffer feel than the 680's that I usually buy. I like the look of this shoe, which is why I went with them. Great look.

Very comfortable to wear

My hubby is a big guy and needs a well structured shoe. New Balance provides exactly what he needs. Disappointed that you no longer describe what last the shoe is built on. Mr. Big does not have an average foot. SL2 was our best fit.

I would have given 5 stars simply based on the amazing improvement in the front foot support. 4 stars because my outer right ankle keeps rubbing down against the shoe. I replaced the shoe with an exchange but I still have the same issue. I try to limit the use of these shoes to 13 miles and less. Otherwise, a very solid shoe.

Love the sneakers. I have been an 880 user for quite a few years. My only issue is that I was given a coupon from New Balance because of a previous purchase mistake (no insoles provided). I tried to use the coupon on this last purchase, and was told that it could only be used at NB, but not at Joe's Outlet. Not right!!

Overall I do believe they are a good quality shoe. These shoes are lightweight and comfortable to walk in. However, I am finding they are quite different to settle into as I do quite a bit of stair running. My runs are four to five times a week and when I use these shoes the balls of my feet feel like they are burning. I have probably 60 miles on them and they still feel the same. The fir is very good and my feet don't shift within the shoes. However, I would not recommend them for the type of running I do. I am giving them four stars because of the overall fit. If I would rate them as to the comfort of the run they would be a two. I would likely not replace these shoes with a like model as they simply don't fit my needs.

Fresh foam is very, very comfortable. Best I have ever worn. May run a little small, so I could have bought a 1/2 size larger, but still feel great.

I love these shoes and have bod the previous version of them before! I bought them for my brother and he said the comfort was great, but the laces seemed short. He took the laces from the old one out and compared them to the new ones and said they were an inch shorter.

I have worn this particular style of New Balance for several years and have purchased a number of pairs during that time. As a frame of reference I'm a walker (suburban streets) and also wear the shoes for daily activities. The only real differences I have seen in the 880v12 from previous 880's are the shoestrings and a more snug fit toward the toe. After wearing the shoes a few times (break in period I guess) the toe area feels just fine. The shoestrings are the reason I gave only 4 stars. As others have noted, they are shorter and seem thinner. Not a deal breaker but just not as substantial as prior versions. All in all a good shoe.

I use these daily for walking and running. Just bought a second pair because NB runs a little smaller. Where I am a 10.5 in most sizes,? I need an 11 in NB. Comfort is a plus, and on the balls of your feet it's very comfortable. I would give 5 star if the sizes were more accurate to other brands.

The laces are definitely a bit short, but they are very comfortable shoes. The construction is nice, and I feel pretty supported. The standard shoe does run a little narrow with my foot shape, but not enough for me to complain. Overall 4/5 stars :)

The running shoes were delivered in ten days. The shoe is a good fit.

I primarily use these during workouts and walking. My biggest complaint is the laces are not long enough unless I tie them very snug. My guess is because they are a size "wide" and they didn't compensate for that.

I use it for work only. I'm on my feet for 8 hours and with fresh foam my feet are well supported. Sounds like a commercial. Anyways, minor issues which is the sizing. I recommend to go up a size. I went from 9 to 9.5.

The shoe strings were too short. Once replaced ( by me) the shoe has proven to be very comfortable

Very comfortable. standard NB shoes and what one would expect. Only complaint the laces are almost too short.

I must have confused this model with another I had purchased earlier. A year or 2 years ago I purchased a pair that looked like this but the cushioning was supremely soft. This model feels well made and strong but are nowhere as soft as I needed them to be. Price was right so Im glad I purchased them.

It is very comfy for sure but even the regular type is wide for my feet. If your feet is narrow be careful to get it unless you get a narrow version of it. I like more sock like fit. So I returned it.

I mix walk/run. These are perfect for me. I have plantar fasciitis, I'm a heel striker, and I love to run cross country (trails) or take long walks (street) with my dog. I don't need my orthotics with these.

Thank you New Balance for giving us color options in a wide shoe. Big difference in this shoe from my last pair of 880s and I say that in a good way; much lighter than I thought they would be and always a great fit.
