this is the second pair of NB 1080V12 that I purchased this year. For being the same size, these feel shorter. Also , my previous pair was delivered in a New Balance box. This pair delivered in an unmarked cardboard box ??? Maybe not a true New Balance shoe ???

Shoes are OK, I would not purchase again, fit is not the best little arch too wide. Overall support is lacking. Last the bright orange stripe is horrendous. Too early to tell how well they will last, I suspect not really well I put some special inserts in and this has help the overall feel.

So disappointed in New Balance. I've been wearing the 1080s for years and this is my 6th or 7th pair. I have worn 9.5 for all of these pairs but now I'm swimming in the 9.5. I tried the 9 and that is a bit too tight so now I need to look for a new shoe.

I was very excited to buy the 1080 again but after ordering my usual size, I had to return them because they were huge. I got a second pair in a half size smaller and they felt great while I wore them at home. Once I took them to the street they felt huge again. Too late to return since I used them outside so I lost my money… Not happy about this purchase.

new balance has been changing their fit for a few years and its really frustrating ....a couple of years ago, with astonishment I bought a new pair of fresh foam 880 from a local store. The size was 11 wide. My shoe size is 10-10wide. I still fit doc martins from 25 years ago size 43. I just bought a pair of Dansko clogs size 43. Still i needed to go up to 11 to get a New Balance that fit. Now that same 11w is too tight. Im frustrated with NB and look forward to finding another shoe company that doesn't keep changing their standards.

This was the smallest mens 7 xx in NB that I have ever seen! Wrong sizing.
I'd also recommend:
for me: Propet, Drew, Orthofeet.

These have been anything but comfortable, and for the price they're frankly not worth it. Even the wide 1080s were still narrow, but the biggest problem was the hard shelling around the toe.

Very disappointed with these sneakers at this price point. The sneakers are extremely and annoyingly squeaky and loud in the heels no matter what surface you are walking on. Seems like the noise comes from the heels being compressed as you walk. Also the the edges of the shoes have some areas of abnormal wear (see photos) creating gummy looking edges. Would not consider purchasing New Balance at this price point again. Poorly engineered product. definitely would not recommend!

Not sure if they are true to size or my other running shoes run smaller? Ordered same size and New Balnce was about 1/4 to 1/2 inch to long. So, I returned them and after 7 days I am still waiting for them to credit my card.

The insole is a bit too small for the shoe. When wearing them you can feel the edges of the insole in the toe area making it uncomfortable.

I got the shoes for light running and sized down as advised and the toe box was still way too wide. There was no noticeable improvement to my time or the aches on me knees from wearing a $70 pair of fresh foam roavs so this is an overpriced shoe that does no better than a cheaper one. Not to mention that attraction to dirt that these shoes have, I've had them less than a month and have already had to wash them because of how dirty they look- and I run on a paved sidewalk.

It seems that NB has made this shoe smaller and tighter in the toe box with each concurrent release since the v10, and that's a shame, because it has potential to be a great trainer. I wore a 9.5 2E in the v10, but a 10 4E is way too narrow on the v11 and the v12. What gives? Additionally, and this is just a subjective personal opinion, the cushion is too soft on this one—not too much cushion, like a maximalist, but it's so soft it's like running on marshmallows and you lose some power in your stride as a result. Hope the v13 is better, because the v10 was one of the best shoes I've run in (aside from the janky heel collar, which was finally made useable on the v12).
I'd also recommend:
Brooks or Hoka

Great looking shoe, but it doesn't fit my feet properly to run in. I've put in 1,300+ miles over the past 3 years without any issues and was told to try a pair of new balance 1080 from someone who was training for the Chicago Marathon. During my 1st run with these shooed I felt the right shoe was squeezing the top of my foot due to the compression tongue. I figured I would give them a few more tries to see if I would adapt but the pain in my right foot led to a strain in my calf. I thus retired the shoes from running.

I ordered a 4e and it's painful to even walk in these they are so tight. My toes rub on the sides. It's a shame because other versions of 1080 fit so nice. Why did you have to change a good thing NB?

I got the foam concept, but how much value is that for those runners that are larger? Not sure I see the value of curve of the cushion. Can't run in these - no arch support.

Nice looking shoes, chose the wider model which fits perfectly. The sole is way too soft, it doesn't provide enough support to run on hard surface. Moreover, these shoes doesn't provide a good support just by standing up and it gave me soreness to my back and legs just after a couple hours. Considering the very high price of these shoes, I don't recommend buying them.

I've been wearing NB running shoes -- including several previous versions of the 1080s, for 10 years. This version is noticeably different from and inferior to past versions. First, the sizing - after a decade ordering the same size online (10.5), I learned that this model suddenly runs large. I went into the NB store to try it on, and the 10.5 was noticeably too big, and the 10 felt slightly snug compared the the V9 and v11. On runs, they lacked the feeling of softness and light cushioning, and instead felt more rigid and stiff. Even after a few runs, my legs and feet felt noticeably worse. I've had to go back to a new pair of v11s (a better shoe at almost half the price at this point) in anticipation of an upcoming marathon. NB: Please go back to what's worked in your flagship running shoes.

This shoe has deteriorated compared to the v10, especially if had liked the cushioned ride of the v10. Also the space inside the shoe appears to have shrunk. Right out of the box and walking, I could feel the difference. Been in it the past 2-3 months. Disappointed overall.
