I got the shoes for light running and sized down as advised and the toe box was still way too wide. There was no noticeable improvement to my time or the aches on me knees from wearing a $70 pair of fresh foam roavs so this is an overpriced shoe that does no better than a cheaper one. Not to mention that attraction to dirt that these shoes have, I've had them less than a month and have already had to wash them because of how dirty they look- and I run on a paved sidewalk.

I run on concrete trails and track, 3 to 5 miles a day. The shoe is light weight, durable and comfortable. I was wearing the Nike Zoom X Invincible Run and even though they are comfortable, the foam is prone to tearing, not to mention, the cost is obscene. The NB Fresh Foam is great. Buy a half size down. Fit is a little roomy, but not a deal breaker.

It seems that NB has made this shoe smaller and tighter in the toe box with each concurrent release since the v10, and that's a shame, because it has potential to be a great trainer. I wore a 9.5 2E in the v10, but a 10 4E is way too narrow on the v11 and the v12. What gives?
Additionally, and this is just a subjective personal opinion, the cushion is too soft on this one—not too much cushion, like a maximalist, but it's so soft it's like running on marshmallows and you lose some power in your stride as a result.
Hope the v13 is better, because the v10 was one of the best shoes I've run in (aside from the janky heel collar, which was finally made useable on the v12).
I'd also recommend:

Website said these shoes were larger and to downsize. I did and the shoes were too small and not wide enough. Returned shoes the next day and I have still heard nothing from NB about return. Very disappointing customer service.

I returned the shoes. The shoes look great, but I ordered the wide size & the shoes were narrow. I tried on regular D sizes various brands that were wider.

Resturned as the size was larger fit on this model. Although still waiting any feedback on my return in order to order a new pair again. It had being two weeks already.

Excellent running shoe. Have been buying and using this shoe and model for the past few years. Other makes and model tried but didn't meet expectations. The available wide size is excellent for orthotics.

New Balance 1080v12 is back! I used to buy this shoe exclusively until v10 and v11. They were very uncomfortable in the heal area. I decided to try the 1080v12 and this one is a winner, especailly in comparison to Asic Kayano 28 and the Brooks Beast 20. Hopefully, New Balance won't mess with perfection ;-)

You know how sometimes when walking you trip over your own feet? Happens once in a blue, with these bad boys that goes away. These are by far my favorite shoes. Highly recommend.

This shoe is very comfortable, made well and light weight. I have very flat feet and also suffer from plantar fasciitis. The foam padding is good for absorbing any impact on my heels and also making walking more comfortable. Sizing was pretty spot on. I took a 10.5 US and a wide width, and my feet fell pretty secure. Not sure how it would be for runners but for my everyday needs and some walking they feel good

As a teacher and a bigger guy, I am often on my feet a lot and I need lots of support. These were a major upgrade from my previous shoes.

Loving the extra wide 4E shoe width. These are becoming very hard to find. Will always buy them when I can.

Great shoe, good in every aspect. Wish there were more colors in stock when I purchased. Wanted a black black.

Good materials used to construct this shoe. Feels like running on pillows. Very supportive and comfortable.

This is an alright running shoe. I'm not a fan of the changes they made from the v11. I've been using New Balance for 20+ years, so I'm not adventurous enough to try another brand. I would think for the price of this shoe you could find something better. I'm not mad, just disappointed

Great looking shoe, but it doesn't fit my feet properly to run in. I've put in 1,300+ miles over the past 3 years without any issues and was told to try a pair of new balance 1080 from someone who was training for the Chicago Marathon. During my 1st run with these shooed I felt the right shoe was squeezing the top of my foot due to the compression tongue. I figured I would give them a few more tries to see if I would adapt but the pain in my right foot led to a strain in my calf. I thus retired the shoes from running.

Using as exercise and general wear. Shoe advertised as 2E. Design not conducive to wide feet. Shoe could be wider. Would recommend ordering 1/2 size up if have a wide or otherwise nonstandard foot.

I ordered a 4e and it's painful to even walk in these they are so tight. My toes rub on the sides. It's a shame because other versions of 1080 fit so nice. Why did you have to change a good thing NB?
