I do admit that I have been a skeptic of some of the newer shoe technology that companies have been developing, but after putting some miles in the Pulsar Trail I am a believer. I wear a wide range of Salomon shoes from the Speed Cross to the Ultra Glide and the Pulsar Trail felt very familiar to me. I have used the shoe on a variety of terrain, from technical trails that require protection/grip to dirt roads and it has continued to prove its versatility. I am impressed with how light and nimble it feels and I like my other Salomon shoes I feel confident in it given how it fits and performs. I look forward to continuing to test this shoe while learning more about the technology behind it.

This is probably the 12th pair of Salomon I have purchased for my family. These are for me. I have put together a new wardrobe to coordinate with these! No, not the athlete the other uses talk about being anymore, though I sure feel stronger and more mobile in these Pulsar Trails! It is because I am recovering from some serious injuries that my shoe being well balanced, cushioned and stable is of the utmost importance and these best fit the bill! I have 4 pairs of Salomon lined up at the door for me and these are my favorites! Thank you for making such well balanced easy to move in shoes! I am no longer in any danger of being left behind!

I used these shoes for a weekend of trail running with my cross country team. I wore them twice before the trip. They are comfortable immediately. I also like how they are lightweight and durable.

Was not expecting to love this shoe nearly as much as I do, and from the first mile! So light, responsive, and great grip. It's been my go-to on dusty gravel trail, steep trail, rolling singletrack, technical and rocky trails, boulder hopping, muddy trails and water crossings, you name it. I've logged 4 mile runs up to 16 miles, totaling about 150 in the past few weeks and haven't had a single issue. It's great for everything from speed work to long days in the mountains, I highly recommend.

Out of the box, these shoes feel so comfortable and snappy. They have such a great mix of cushion and speed for trails. These will probably be my new everyday running shoe!

Such a fun shoe - provides enough cushion for long days on the trail, yet is snappy and responsive for picking up the pace. I ran mostly dry, very rocky washed out trails in them and they performed great!

I am currently enjoying my shoes the only thing i dont like about them is the laces tend to get caught and have tripped me up when running

This is the 3rd Salomon shoe I have bought and loved. I bought the first pair in Mexico immediately before traveling to Peru where I walked a lot (including to Machu Pichu). I did not have any time to test or break these shoes in and they were so comfortable right out of the box that I have been hiking in Salomons ever since. On this pair, the pocket where you tuck in the laces is underneath the top laces making it tricky to get the little plastic thing in the pocket w/o loosening the laces. Otherwise, these are great. The pair I bought right before these did not fit quite right but the return was easy.

These shoes are worth the money. The only problem is that they are not slip resistant for food service. But my feet does not hurt at the end of the day

I bought these recently for some everyday/hiking purposes. I love the shape, the color, and believe that they might be my most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn. My only concern is that the felt-like design on the side is peeling up, but it's understandable because I wear them every day. I love these shoes so much, I bought another pair already!

Have worn these to run dog agility on the turf and they are great. Dont slip on wet grass and are super comfortable. If I had one criticism it would be that dirt smudges show easily on them but I do love the light teal colour.

Hard for me to get my foot into the shoe...it needs a back pull. Very comfy, roomy toe area though.

I like that the lugs are not super aggressive. They work great in hard packed dirt and also in sand. I did not find them to tight in the toe box at all. My arch length is longer than my foot length, meaning the widest part of my foot requires me to size up typically. In Brooks and Saucony, I consistently wear a 10. I bought these in a 10 and the Sense Ride in a 9.5.

I bought these to train in for a trail race coming up, it took a few tries to get the shoe laces to the right adjustment, the overall cushion is ok, you feel the ground and can grip pretty good. I haven't tried them on a very aggressive trail, just loose stones and some tree roots. Hoping to get a few more runs on them before race.

Bought a pair of Pulsar's last year. Loved them so much I decide to get another. These shoes are very different. Much larger in width and length. Also it is not possible to tuck the end of the laces into the tongue. As the shoe is tightened the pocket is not accessible.

I returned these. Disclaimer about the following: if you're not running or hiking down long vertical drops, these shoes are probably great. Shoe felt great on, felt like it would be a good shape, but my biggest issue with most trail shoes lately is a very soft upper and little rigidity to hold your heel back so you don't slide forward in the shoe going down hill (everything near my house requires going out of and back down into a canyon, and they can be long descents). So I returned to the Salomon brand from some other popular brands in the hope of finding a decent shoe with a bit more structure built into the upper that was lighter than an XA and didn't have a huge differential like the Speedcross. Seemed promising out of the box but as soon as I wore these around the house a bit I discovered the Kevlar laces were putting so much pressure on the top of my foot in a concentrated area, and I knew they just weren't going to work. They needed to be tight to feel like the shoe was hugging my foot enough but the upper is just too soft to spread the pressure around the foot. The XA and Speedcross lines have the construction to deal with the thin Kevlar laces much better.

I purchased and loved the Pulsar trail pro, and those ran a half size big so I ordered down. These did not have that recommendation, but I would recommend ordering down. Also, the elastic lace keeper is situated on the shoe in a way that make sit near impossible to tighten the shoe and still tuck the laces. This feature is much better on the pro. Overall, I like the elasticized nature of the upper on the pro better than this traditional lace-up. It is not a bad shoe, but could use some tweaks.

I think they're fine. Quick ties are something I've never had on shoes. Hard to figure out what to do with "ends", as when the shoes are pulled tightly, kinda difficult to get "tucked".

The shoes seemed comfortable medium quality however the tongue seemed sharp on the edge with no cushioning I was afraid it might cause blisters as I wear ankle socks so I returned the shoes. Probably overpriced for the features.
