I had to exchange these boots for a 1/2 size larger since the first pair was too snug for my feet. After approx. 40 miles of hiking on moderate woodland trails, I found these lightweight boots to fit well with no break-in needed, and to be very comfortable and waterproof especially after stepping into a marshy area almost up to my ankle and still have dry feet. Highly recommend these boots!

I bought this a few weeks ago to play disc golf. I have tried sneakers and my old hiking boots and they both were inadequate. Sneakers not supportive enough and my old hiking boots too heavy and allowed my ankles to roll. This are supportive, light weight and like walking on pillows. The price is actually very good in comparison to similar products that are not even as good.

I mainly use these for everyday winter shoes to keep my feet dry when I don't need to wear bulky winter boots but need more than a regular shoe in the snow. They're super comfortable and grippy. Of course they're awesome for hiking the trails, which is probably what they're intended for.

The shoes were awesome on a 7 day canoe trip in Minnesota boundary waters. Never stuck in the muck, drained and dried enough for comfortable fit every morning.

I absolutely love these shoes. The fit is perfect and the quality is top class. I wore them out of the store and took a long hike/walk that day. No break in period needed.

I like the shoe so far. I've only had the pair for a week or two. US Size 12. In DFW Texas cool to cold weather they are comfortable. I have noticed as the weather warms above 60F that my feet feel hot and sweaty. It may be that these are best for cooler climates and the cooler part of the year. However, that is conjecture. I bought them to keep my feet dry when walking in the mornings to keep the dew and sprinkler systems' water from soaking my feet and shoes first thing in the morning. They serve this purpose well so far.

I've been wearing these in the office and on light hikes in Colorado (near Utah) on sandy and rocky trails. Great traction and comfort. Great all around shoe/boot.

I love the GTX Mid's from Salomon - my old pair lasted around 3 years of almost daily use before the soles were completely worn down. These new ones fit exactly like the old ones (a little on the small side than 'standard', go a half size down or so), comfortable for all day use standing at work, waterproof, and are slim enough at the toebox to allow driving my manual car + truck without any issues. The included insole is okay, but I suggest using a pair of Superfeet insoles for maximum comfort. Overall, I highly recommend them!

Received my Outpulse and found them true to size, they are very sturdy, yet comfortable and flexible. They feel natural and close to the ground providing the stability I was looking for. I haven't got many miles on them yet, but they feel like they should hold up great.

I've had this shoe a little over 2 months and it's the third pair I've owned. It doubles as work and hiking shoe. I work in the new construction plumbing field and do a lot of work in dirt, rock, mud, etc. I average around 8 miles a day at work and this shoe is a life saver! It is very comfortable and light weight making it easier to move around. Also a plus that is water proof and the traction is also great in the wet conditions. Salomon should definitely advertise into the construction field for those who don't like to wear heavy boots all day! They could really find a new group of customers. I've already turned 3 co workers on to Salomon shoes now and they love them!

I was really curious to try this shoe! I am a long-time Salomon user and am always eager to try new products. These did not disappoint! What I mainly liked: - They are extremely comfortable right out of the box. I wore them right out of the box for a full day including a short 3mile hike and a shopping day walking around stores all day... immediate comfort! - Roomy. Salomon is doing a great job in re-adjusting some of the forefoot area in new products. While I appreciate the need for narrow toe boxes for technical trails, probably not something I want in an all-day shoe. The fitting on these is amazing, very roomy for Salomon standards. - NO FATIGUE. I read a lot about the new materials (Fuze Surge) and the new geometry in the running shoes to promote energy return and easy transitions... Well, IT WORKS! I can walk forever in these. I have used them to ruck (walk with weight) on concrete, as well as technical trails with no issues. - Light. they are very lightweight for such a good supportive shoe. Compared to more "sneaker boots" like the Altra Mids, these are around the same weight but offer WAY MORE structure and foot portection. - Great ankle support, the last hooks is placed really nicely to support the ankle. Great improvement from the Cross Hike Mid or Forces Speed Assault in which the ankle was not as supported by the end of the laces. The only things I did not like is that the shoe laces are way too long, and that I wish there was a non-goretex version for warmer days and hikes that involve water crossings. Definitely giving my Quest boots a break and having these as my go-to!

I love the way these feel. I'll wear em on a trail where I'm not anticipating mud, and i love them for my everyday urban runabouts. But every time i pass by my reflection in a window, i can't help but notice how goofy they can look from bunching up the bottom of my pant legs. Also, the eyelid things for the top two passes of the laces can catch on the lace of the opposite foot. I also see no need for such a thick insulated ankle. Other than that it's a great shoe with plenty of bounce and support.

Very happy with purchase. Fit is typical Salomon so if you've worn S before sizing is perfect. Super light weight trail shoe and doubles as urban winter wear. Only concern is that Salomon should move to slip resistant soles just like our winter tires.

Ordered these To explore the many Christmas markets in cool rainy Netherlands and Germany. They felt great right out of the box. They kept my feet warm and dry. I would give them a 5 star if they had the quick lace system with a pocket storage.

I have kinda wide feet. Standard Salomon’s and brooks usually fit though. These were too snug. Have to order a wider fit

I’m a woman with big feet (women’s 11) and since I usually size up 1/2 a size for hiking boots, I decided to try a men’s shoe as Salomon doesn’t make a women’s 11.5. Since men’s are usually too wide for me, I was pleasantly surprised that these fit ok width wise! They seem like they have a solid structure to them and firm foot support. I like that they’re lightweight and not as bulky as my previous boots (another brand). Haven’t hiked in them yet, but initial impressio. Is good!

Good fit, comfortable and does what they are meant to do. Only issue I would say is they should make them quick lace with the tongue pocket.

I use these trail shoes on non technical flatter terrain, but off road. With the running shoe bottom they are good for me in those conditions. Still use my "cleated" solomans for steeper, rougher terrain. Size and width are both really close for me, make sure you know your brand size here.

Nice shoe seem well made but are really narrow compared to other Salomon boots/shoes I own that have the Gor-tex waterproofing.
