Comfortable, lightweight as promised, seems really sturdy, definitely keeps the wind out. I wish LL Bean had chosen to make the hood adjustable, which would make the jacket even more useful for me; I'd be happy to pay a higher price for that feature. I haven't really had a chance to find out how waterproof the jacket really is, since we have had no real rain, but it has certainly kept me dry on mornings of heavy San Francisco fog.

Lightweight, waterproof jacket. Sleeves are a bit long, so a velcro adjustment on the cuffs would help to keep it around my wrists.

This jacket would have been perfect except for the sleeve length. The sleeves are longer than on older LLBean petite jackets I have. There is velcro on the pockets which catches on knit gloves and hat but no velcro tab for adjusting the sleeve length. I got this in a medium petite to fit over a fleece jacket and the combination was cozy on a day in the low 40s with a cold wind. Not exactly lightweight, a Gore-tex Active unlined jacket weighs several ounces less, but a good value, a welcome addition compared to other pricey rain gear.

This is a classic high quality windbreaker with hood. The only thing to improve would be to have zippered pockets. There is currently just velcro closures. But great jacket, exactly what you expect from LLBean.

This jacket is comfortable & was well-priced. The Velcro over the zipper is a nice touch. The pockets Velcro shut too! It folds up easily for packing for a trip. The only minor annoyance is the top left side gets in the way of my chin if not zipped. It's not a "return" issue though; everything else makes up for that.

Wore this while walking on the beach in the rain in Daytona Beach. Very windproof and water proof.

I've been buying this wind breaker for a decade or so. I have 2 of the older style ( zippered outer pockets). There are a few pluses and a few minutes with the new style. I like the zippered inner pocket and the velcroed outer pockets. With my older jackets, the outer zipper cover material was always getting caught in the zipper. The two things that are missing from the new style - I REALLY miss the extra Velcro strap at the sleeve cuffs so that you can tighten the cuffs! I miss the bottom cable that you could use to snug up the bottom of the jacket. Also, LLBean should have put a bit more Velcro for the outside pockets.

Waterproof and wind proof! Wish the hood had drawstrings to close tighter. I got a medium to layer. I'm 5'5.

It is a nice windbreaker! I like that it is longer and fits well. The only thing I do not like is the color. It is more blue than grey.

I love the color and would like more outerwear in this color. I wear it on my early morning walk and feel that motorists will be able to see me.It runs a little bit big, but It worked out perfect for me as I can layer my pack away jacket under this for more warmth in the winter. The reason for the loss of one star is I don't like Velcro and would prefer snaps and zippered pockets.

I really like this waterproof jacket. It fits well except that the sleeves are too long. I am 5' and 124 lbs. I took a tuck in each cuff using my sewing machine to sew it down, and that worked. I was happy to find a light-weight waterproof jacket, perfect for outdoor activities in the mild seasons of the year.

Great raincoat! Looks good, feels good, keeps you dry. I'm normally a medium and the medium is a little big, but I also think it will work well for colder months when I need to layer more underneath. My only complaint is the velcro all over this thing. Velcro for the pockets, and all up and down the flap over the zipper it's too much! Makes it hard to do anything quickly, like get my hands into the pockets.

Love the lightweight waterproof windbreaker. Would of liked the pockets to have zippers like a similar Llbean windbreakers I have that isn't waterproof.

There is no question this jacket is a keeper. I've had it for a least two weeks now and its making me feel very comfortable when out walking in the wind and rain. Even the little extra sleeve length is great to pull over my leach-hand when I'm walking my dog in the rain. Sorry to say there is one annoyance though, those velcro tabs down the front are totally unnecessary. Otherwise, it's GREAT!

Great windbreaker. Lightweight but warm enough for fall rainstorms. The sleeve length is fine with me (5'2") just a little bit long but good for a windbreaker. The hood is better designed than some other coats. The color is pretty, a dark slate blue in the light. I'd have given this a 5 star rating except for the velcro, velcro and more velcro. If the customer is going to go camping in the mountains I guess it's fine, makes the coat secure. But I purchased for every day wear. It's hard to unzip and rough and uncomfortable around the neck when not fully zipped. Also extremely difficult to get into the pockets and just not necessary. Suggest two versions if offered again - one with velcro and one without.

I generally wear Bean medium. It's a bit snug so I will use in spring with light sweater.

I ordered the dark gray. Love the fit, love the fabric, love the color, love the weight. However, I don't love the velcro. Not sure why someone thought the jacket needed extra closures since a zipper works well on it's own. Velcro is not an attractive feature on anything, especially after it starts to collect lint and whatnot. Of course it wouldn't show with the jacket zipped up but it does if you wear it open. It also made undoing the jacket to take off a chore. So, I ended up taking it off, except for the collar area and the pockets for now. I'll probably end up taking it off the pockets before too long. I still love the jacket but it would have been perfection without the unneeded extra.

I wish the sleeve length would have been a little bit longer. I'm 6'1" and have very long arms so it's just an inch or two short. Otherwise, I'm happy with my purchase.

The sleeves are long for petite . This could be remedied if the elastic at cuff were tighter. I will need to have it tailored in order to wear comfortably. Otherwise the jacket is fine. It is waterproof and comfortable.

A little too small to wear a sweatshirt under it. It fits fine with a long sleeve cotton shirt under it. I found the sleeves about an inch too long for me, but could turn the sleeves up. It is comfortable otherwise.

The gunmetal grey is more of a dark navy almost black - not at all grey.

I originally ordered a medium size, only to find it larger than I expected. I then reordered a small, found it fit perfectly and returned the medium. This jacket was specifically purchased due to it's small footprint when I pack for a river cruise in Amsterdam in April which will not be quite as warm as summer. I wanted something that was waterproof, not cumbersome to pack and nice enough to wear as a jacket when on tours. I am impressed with the quality and I can bet that this will become my jacket of choice when I travel or out for errands. I think that this jacket is very good quality and well worth the small price that I paid for such a convenient piece of apparel. I may just order this same jacket in another color.

Wanted a light weight jacket but extremely hard to find. Searched internet. Finally found this one I like it. I take it in place of umbrella.

I really wanted this to fit with layers underneath. I usually wear an XL and this fit nicely in the XL, but with no room to layer a sweater or sweatshirt under. Unfortunately, it doesn't come in bigger sizes. I've seen other reviewers as small as 135lbs say they liked their XL and it fits layers great. That's nice; but if you are really an XL, don't expect to wear anything with bulk underneath. Otherwise I loved it.

Like style ordered grey but jacket looks dark navy not the lighter gray I thought it would be.
