I bought this jacket in the color I was eying for a while. It was out of stock then came back in stock, at which time I ordered it. Never received it but instead got someone else's order. This is clearly a mix up by LL Bean. Now the jacket I wanted is out of stock again and I'm out of luck.

Flap that covers whole bottom of your face is not to my liking. Rubs over yourmouth, picks up oil or make up from your skin

This was the flimsiest jacket I've every owned. The fabric tore only after a few times wearing it.

The jacket had blue stains all ove it and was unacceptable. I got a replacement with the same problem.

I've worn my jacket less than 10 times and it has a big tear in the pocket, one on the elbow and one across the belly. I bought this jacket for hiking and it obviously can't stand any rubs against trees or brush. So sad because it keeps me warm and dry. Not worth this money AT ALL.

The jacket is just what u wanted but for $200+ why is there logos on it? They should be paying me if they want to advertise. I really, really hate logos on my clothes. I would love to send it back and get one without the logos on it. Do better ll bean . You don't need to charge so much and insist on the logos. I hate that they are on my jacket

I thought the jacket would be more puffy and thicker down. It was very thin and flat appearance. It did not look as the picture on the LLBean site. I usually love LLBean yet this was a true disappointment.

Too small not true to size at all. Loved the color though!

I have this coat from 2020 and love it but I needed it in a size larger as I've gain a bit and the coat is snug. So I ordered the petite in one size up. The sleeves are so long and the elastic around the wrists is huge too. It fits nicely around my wrist in my 2020 version. This new one would fit my upper arm. I'm so disappointed.

In 2018 I purchased the Women's Ultralight 850 Down Hooded Jacket in Rhubarb Reg Large. Just received the same jacket, same size but in black. What a difference a few years makes. The quality of this new jacket is not the same as the old one. The weight of the jacket is less than the old one, probably because of less down, the sleeves are 3" longer and the elastic cuffs are not tight around the wrist. The cut of the shoulders is different causing the jacket to fit poorly. The old jacket is still in excellent condition and I get many compliments from other women when I wear it. I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from LL Bean over the last 20 years but this is the first return and review ever. Will not reorder this item.

I just received my UL 850 down hooded jacket in Field Gold and the jacket has dark spots all over in various places and dark lines at each and every seam. I can't tell if this is a result of some dark feathers in the coat and/or the dark interior lining of the coat showing through the lighter field gold color. Either way, this is not the quality I would expect from LLBean and especially for a jacket at the $269 price point. I am VERY disappointed as I have been researching packable down jackets for several weeks and was excited to get this cost before my upcoming trip to the AZ mountains. The coat is going back and I am not confident that trying again would result in a more satisfactory experience unless I was interested in getting a black coat, which I am not.

This jacket started losing down the first time I wore it. While the fit is great, it's obvious that this jacket won't have anything like the usual life span that I have gotten from other LL Bean products. Major disappointment with this jacket.

This cuff only has elastic on the underneath side and therefore does not fit tightly. A dealbreaker for a coat that should keep me warm.

In my humble opinion this Jacket is very poor quality, not something that LL Bean normally sells. I have bought several things from LL Bean over the years and up until now have always been impressed with there quality, but not this time. I sent it back the next day after opening the package. Enough said.

Bought this jacket for my daughter to ski, melted as she warmed by the fire. Shouldn't you be able to sit by a fire with a coat melting... isn't it a ski jacket. Customer service was useless with NEVER buy from LL Bean again.

Not worth your hard earned money. Lousy quality as it rips easily as though it is cling wrap. Feathers will make their way out and you will lose the feather stuffing to your coat in front of friends and family. Store won't take it back if they feel it happened "accidentally" putting you the customer at a lo$$. In the exact words of an associate, "You are better off with a prima loft coat."

I am a big fan of LL Bean products but for the first time ever I had an issue. I ordered the gold color. The coat arrived quickly and that was great but after I opened the package I was a bit surprised that anyone would have even put it in the plastic bag to ship it. On all of the seams there is a blackish gray color and also the sleeve cuffs. At first I thought the coat had been used and was dirty but after further inspection it appears that the discoloration could be that the darker bluish/black jacket interior bled through. I would just say that if you are choosing the field gold color it may not be what you are expecting.

Was already leaking feathers through significant needle holes along the seams--had to return it. I didn't know what was even happening with my return until I saw a Credit on my Credit Card.

35 years of age, purchased a new LL jacket every 2-3 years with no issues. Quality has gone downhill lately and temperature ratings are inaccurate. Also overpriced. Will not be buying their jackets moving forward. Pants and shirts are still nice.

So.. I had a previous version of this coat, and loved it. Really loved it! The fabric was great quality, the fill was SO warm, etc. This one...screams cheap top to bottom...feels cheap, looks cheap, and I'd hate to see how it would hold up. So of course I'm going to return it. Hoping to find a better one. I wish the previous version was still available.

I purchased this product back in October for hiking with high expectations and I have been disappointed at every turn. The first jacket got a hole in it after 2 months and the store begrudgingly accepted my return and sent me another. This second jacket was just as poor quality as the first, with a burst stowaway zipper after another two months and a gaping hole in the front. I've requested a return and it is unclear whether or not LL Bean will accept my return and stand by their product. I hope they will as this jacket was absolutely not cheap and should be MUCH better quality than it is. Overall terrible quality fabric and seams, not at all what I expect from this company.
