Petite M, 5'2", 120 lbs. Great fit, easy on easy off over a base layer. Bought these for an upcoming trip to Iceland. I'd give these five stars if there was a pocket in the front or side vs. one in the back.

Pants fit true to size but hips r cut a bit on slimmer side. Check your body dimensions fir best fit. Zippers only on lower part of leg.

I have not used this yet, so i cannot give it 5 stars but it looks exactly like what I need to raft the Colorado river through the Grand Canyon. I appreciate the bigger sizes. Just because I'm not as thin or young as I used to be doesn't mean I'm too old for adventure.

Second pair. Long-lasting. Light-weight. Wind and weather proof. I use them professionally in a saltwater environment.

Bottom line is that these rain pants are a good price, they'll keep you dry, and they'll probably last a long time. So if you're on a budget or don't use rain pants much, these will work for you. But if you wear rain pants a lot and you can spend more money, I would go for a more expensive product. I normally wear a medium in LL Bean pants, but the medium in these rain pants is too snug to fit over other pants, so I went with a large, which is enormously bigger than the medium. That's not a significant problem since rain pants cinch at the waist and cuffs, but these pants balloon around my hips and make me look odd. I'm also not crazy about the cinching toggle. If you pull it the wrong way, you have to fiddle with it a while to get it right.

I had really wanted snow pants but they were sold out, so decided to go with the rain pants. Good for wearing over regular pants, keeps them dry. And good as windbreakers for the cold. Points off because they are HUGE. And baggy. If I cared about style I'd be embarrassed to wear them. But I care mostly about being warm and dry.

I bought these rain pants for trekking 7 days on Mount Kilimanjaro. They kept me completely dry thru 2 straight days of rain, and served well as protection from the wind, especially on summit day with very windy conditions. They also fit very well over long underwear and fleece pants, and had good range of motion (as much as waterproof pants could).
However, I would suggest that these only be used for causal wear and less intensive hikes. Since the zipper only zipped to below the knee, it was very difficult to remove and put them on while wearing boots, especially if you are putting them on in the rain. When I did manage to keep my boots on, the inside of the pants were muddy, which could be annoying. If you need easy on and off without removing shoes, it would be better if it was full zip. I also ripped a 6 inch hole in the fabric when sitting down on a rock, and ended up having to throw them out at the end of the trip. In fairness though, it was a lavarock, which are super coarse, and I doubt LLBean intended the pants to regularly be in contact lavarocks.
Overall, these are great rain pants for walking the dog, sitting at a sporting event, and light hiking, you will definitely be kept dry. I just suggest getting something a bit more functional if your activity is more intense.

I would have given 5 stars if there were side pockets in the pants as well as the zippered one, but they seem to be very waterproof which is what I wanted so I'm happy with them. They also fit well.

I really like them. I gave it a 4 star because I would have loved side zippered pockets in addition to the back pocket.

If you want them to be tight at the ankle, the draw string ends up being annoyingly long with no place to go. Other wise I would have given them 5 stars

I bought the small petite originally and it was too big. Traded it for the XS petite and still is baggy.
The fabric is thicker and heavier than I would like. These would be good for winter rain pants or snow pants but for hiking in warmer weather, not ideal. Length was great for me as a petite.

I needed a pair of rain pants for a trip to Oregon, so I decided to try these. They fit fine, although a little too long. The zippers on the legs are a nice touch. Unfortunately, I am apple-shaped and have a hard time finding pants that fit; my usual rain pants have a bib with straps. The problem with these was that when I kneeled down, the back pulled down too. I decided to return them and wait until I could find another pair of bib-overall type rain/snow pants.

The pants work fine. The pants do make a swooshing sound when moving, but I'm not certain if there is a waterproof fabric that doesn't do that. I wish there had been more color options, such as khaki or light gray (to be able to see ticks easier.)

Good zippers on the legs, adjustable elastic at bottom of the leg to tighten. A bit on the noisy side when you walk but they work well and are comfortable with a wide elastic waist. Be aware that there are no front pockets - just the small back zip pocket - in case that matters to you.

These were tight in the waist, and very baggy in the legs. Also the waist has a hard plastic knob on the tie to adjust the waist but the plastic knob dug into my belly which is sensitive due to abdominal surgery scar. I weigh about 120 and always get LLB XS in pants and shorts with elastic waist. I got the small in these and the waist was too tight even on the biggest setting.

These rain pants are great! I worked valet in an 8 hour rain event that dumped 5 inches. They are a little long, and I had to roll up the legs to avoid stepping on them, but they kept my clothes dry all day. The only negative thing about them is that they have no pockets where I need them. Would love to see cargo pockets added to them.

I usually get a XL PET in regular LL Bean pants, however, these rain pants were way too tight, short in crotch, and couldn't possibly pull them over regular pants in a rainstorm.

Short crotch. Too long. Should be better for women and petites.

They are thinner than I expected; I have to wear leggings underneath for warmth. The gizmos at the bottom of the pants that allow the user to pull the leg opening tight against the shoe is great, but one of mine doesn't work.
Other than those two things, I like them a lot. I walk dogs in Northern California and wear them every day that it rains.

The rain pants, were purchased for a Norwegian ocean cruise through Scotland's islands to Norway. Able to wear both long insulated "longjohns's" plus pants underneath. Zippers below knees help on/off over shoes.

Fit like a regular baggie leg pant, only they were too tight to go over blue jeans in the hip area, which was what I had hoped for. A larger size would have been too large and I wasn't interested in wearing them alone due to the fact that they were obvious over pants, shiny and noisy.
