Very well made! Zipper openings are covered with a flap and velcro. I would have appreciated some nice, deep side pockets. There is only one rear pocket, and though it is very roomy (more than twice the size of my phone), it is only mesh, so I don't know how long it will last if I actually put stuff in it and go for a walk. The description said they were designed to fit over a light layer, so I ordered my usual LL Bean pants size, but when I tried them on, they were way too small. Since I bought these for walking and hiking in the rain, I need more room. So I'm returning them and getting a larger size.

Great rain pants! Keep me dry walking the dog and at football games

The regular women's is a bit too long on me, but I'm petite and that's my fault for not ordering the petite size. They fit great, are super durable, and seem to be super water resistant.

My husband bought a pair of LL Bean rain pants more than 20 years ago and they are in great condition. I therefore decided to buy these from LL Bean and I am happy I did. They fit good and the zipper area at the ankles open up large enough to get off without taking off my boots.

Pants were recommended by a person I met while skiing. Her pants were likely 10 years old and she was extremely satisfied with them. I ordered them immediately and have worn them several times. They are great.

I love these rain pants! They fit perfectly and have performed as described.

I searched many stores for a pair of petite waterproof pants. They are very hard to find but I finally came across these trail model pants. They fit perfectly. The length is just right and it is not too restricting in the waist and crotch area which is hard to find in an xs petite pant. These give enough room to wear alone or over another pair of pants. There is a pocket in the back of the pant, but I would suggest putting pockets in the front of the pants as well. These are still wonderful pants even without front pockets. Thanks LL Bean!

The petite was a great length. Side ankle zips make putting on boots easy. Repels water nicely. Makes outside work in poor weather comfortable.

I purchased these to wear over my flannel lined Bean jeans for those cold, snowy, windy days when dog walking and they worked great. Even on warmer, windy, rainy days I'll use them over regular jeans when walking my dog 4 times a day.

Perfect to west over thermals in the winter or just as rain pants in the fall

This is what I've been looking for! Fit perfect! Not big and bulky like others. Great length, too. Follow washing and drying instructions and take right out and wear. Only thing I didn't like was that they were a little too shiny but would definitely buy again. Recommend.

Perfect for snow tubing! I wore them to the snow park and had not one ounce of slush get through. These things must be made of kevlar because they are TOUGH!

I love these! I use them when it rains, but also when it's sunny but very cold--they keep my legs nice & warms.

Absolutely the best! After many dog-walking rainy days with soaked pants, these have saved me. I never have to worry about coming into the house soaked anymore. These will also be perfect on the trails when we run into rain on our hikes. The fit is true to size (I'm 5'7"; 129 lbs. Size Small). I highly recommend these great pants.

Great waterproof rain pants. Lightweight, and comfortable. I needed them for my dog walking rainy days. They are perfect!

Love these pants. I'm short so even petite is a little long. Perfect for week at the beach. Next time I will order lined, but these worked great with a pair of leggings.

Love them. I'm 80+, 5:2, 133#, bought PM and they fit perfectly. The material is extremely light weight and not bulky. I didn't even feel them while playing golf. Well made. I'm very pleased with them. They are the second part of a rain suit for my rainy golf days.

I have a straight shape and wear a size medium in most Bean pants and shorts, but wanted these to be loose and fit over regular pants, so was unsure of what size to order. Other reviews helped me decide on my regular size medium. They are long enough with long zippers to pull them on over boots, and a stretchy waist with a cord to adjust the fit. The size medium is perfect. I love that they stuff into a zippered pocket in the back, and Bean added the word "Stow" on the internal zipper pull so customers would know where to stuff the pants to make a nice little package for travel or a backpack.

Good value and performance in all weather conditions

I wore these nearly everyday on a two week whitewater rafting trip through the Grand Canyon in October. Everyday was a splashy day and the air temperatures fluctuated depending on sun and shade so I was very glad to have them. They survived many awkward climbs in and out of boats, being put on and taken off quickly over shoes, and the zippers functioned well in spite of the endless sand and silt. They were filthy when I got home but washed beautifully. Good value for the money.

The styling and fit were nothing special but I wore these pants on a multi-day bike trip in the pouring rain and I stayed dry. What more could you ask?

I am 72 years old and I have worn these pants for 4 years thru pouring rain watching a granddaughter play college golf in the Midwest snow and rain. I also wear them watching 4 grands play soccer in the rain and wind. . I think the highest compliment I can give is to say I am thankful for these pants. I wear fleece leggings underneath if it is chilly if not regular light jogger. I pull these pants on and my LL Bean waterproof fleece lines jacket and I always stay warm and dry. Most of all I like the leg and arm closures and the pocket closures.

I bought these pants for our trip to Iceland. I liked that they come in petite and have a zippered opening at the bottom so I could pull them over my pants and hiking shoes. They kept me dry in wet weather.
