Loved the jacket, color was good and fit was as expected. Was disappointed with the Velcro closures so it was returned. I don't.believe that the closure type was mentioned in the description. I'm still looking for a rain jacket though so I will keep checking back.

This is a typical well-made LLBean rain jacket. Unfortunately, I thought it would have a little more stretch in it than it does, especially over my hips. I am between sizes, a true size 16, and LL Bean does not have that size in jackets. The top of the jacket, around my breast and arms, and shoulders fits fine. So, I have to either buy a large, which is 14-16, or XL, which is 18-20 and too big. So, since I am trying to lose a few pounds, I hope to fit into the large size more comfortably soon. Until then I will wear the jacket with the pockets unzipped.

As with most of LLBean women's jackets, they are too short. The jacket is as advertised, a little lighter weight than I expected . Wind protection is good, but really need an extra layer for warmth. Haven't tried it in the rain yet. Overall it is good lightweight jacket. Temperatures are in the low 50s.

This rain jacket is as described. Fit is a bit relaxed to allow for a light weight fleece or sweater under it if needed. Love the color too!

I really do like this rain coat but it was made "fitted" which I really don't normally like. I bought it in a medium first because all my LL Bean coats are medium. But I should have known to go up a size when it says "fitted". I liked the way my "normal" size (M) looked when I was standing up but when I sat down it felt a little tight at the stomach. So I returned it for a large. Now when I stand up it looks a little large for me but it's perfect when I sit down (roomy). But at least it's big enough for me to wear a sweater under it. So next time I just won't buy anything "fitted" because my body isn't shaped for a fitted look. I think you need a thin waist for that. The color is pretty and I liked it enough to keep it.

I ordered the medium and large and the right size for me was the large. The medium would be too tight in shoulders. The large was roomy but not huge for my size (5'7", 160, 36c). The reason I sent the coat back is that I really wanted pit zips and prefer not to have Velcro closures over the zipper. If those things didn't bother me, I would love this coat. I like the chest pocket, which many other brands don't have. Also, the hood on this coat was great, like the adjustability and that there were draw cords to tighten it down.

I usually by a xl from ll Bean. I bought a 1X because I wanted to accommodate a light sweater or extra layer underneath. The 1X was too tight in the arms and shoulders and around my hips. I am pear shaped so it happens. I ultimately sent it back for a 2X and it fits as I would like. Overall satisfied with the jacket.

The jacket fits me well and the big hood is great. I love the Yellow Jasper color. But the very prominent LLBean logo is a negative for me.

Ordered this rain jacket because I had lost my llbean gortex stowaway rain jacket! Yes, it is a nice in between seasons jacket. Fit is good - for me, just below hips/butt. When driving, wished there was an alternative zipper; velcro is an option. Fabric is crinkly. Overall, a good product. I may return it,as I did purchase the stowaway goretex on back order.

Great zippered pockets....ample sized , comfortably positioned on the garment. Wish that jacket front had a 2 way zipper (zips from both top and bottom) as that would be more comfortable when seated in car etc. Have worn on a rainy day running errands , hood stays comfortably in place and overall jacket keeps you dry. 4 stars because of the jacket front zipper

I love this jacket and I always wear petites but for some reason the sleeves on the petite jacket I got are too long. Disappointing and will return.

I like how lightweight it is. The fit is really good. It has enough room to accommodate a bulky sweater or a light down vest, but it's a little snug around the waist. My bust area is wider than my waist, so that's a little weird. It's just when I sit I feel it a bit tighter. My thought was to use it predominantly for hiking, but due to the bright color and how dark it is in Seattle now that it's winter/fall, I have decided that it's a daily wear. That way cars are more likely to see me when I cross the street. My biggest complaint is that it does not seem to fit in the pocket that it was designed for. This is the main reason I purchased this jacket, so it's a disappointment. I am trying to fold and fit it in a makeup bag so I can easily take it camping come spring time, when the weather is warm but questionable.

The fit is fine. Hits a little below the hip and a touch longer in the back, which is nice. I'm narrow-shouldered and small-chested, and XS fit best. It's a little tight in the shoulders, but the next size up looked frumpy on me. There's still enough room for insulating layer, and the fitted look is more flattering. People with wide shoulders or larger chests might have issue with fit. Pros: Better than average color selection for women's rain jackets; I was looking for something bright that wasn't pink or red, and really like the yellow jasper color. Zippered pocket at the chest. You would not believe how many women's jackets do not have this feature; it's one of the reasons I chose this jacket over similar from other brands. It's adequately waterproof-breathable, at least for light-moderate activity. With a layer underneath, it'll be perfect for rainy winters where I live. Overall, nice features (adjustable hood, lightweight-breathable) considering the price-point. Cons: Not a fan of the placket over the zipper with hook-loop closure. Worst feature of the jacket by far. Wish it had a waterproof zipper or a regular lapped zipper; the hook-loop is a liability. Pit zips for venting, an interior pocket, and a 2-way zipper would also be nice, even for a little more $ (this jacket lacks those features)

Just received this jacket so here are my 1st impressions. I love the feel of the jacket and the weight. So nice to have the velcro at the wrists to adjust the opening size. I normally don't like hoods but this being so lightweight I don't even know it's there which is good and a hood is nice to have on a rain jacket. I need something lightweight as I live in a mostly warm climate. I like that is has pockets including a breast pocket. Even though I'm petite only 5'2" I didn't order a petite. Where it falls on me is perfect for a rain jacket. A bit longer is better but its not too long, just right. I LOVE the Clover color. Such a pretty green. Now for the changes that would make it a 5 star jacket. It runs a bit small. It works but would like it to fit a bit looser. I actually can wear 2 different sizes based on the brand/cut of the top/jacket/coat and in this ordered the bigger size. Absolutely need a reversible zipper. I can't believe they did not do one. I'll probably just use the velcro to close the jacket as I know I will be very annoyed whenever I sit down with a closed zipper that does not reverse to give some leeway when sitting. I actually considered not ordering this jacket because it didn't have a reversible zipper but since it also has velcro I gave it a shot.

I bought this jacket to replace one I thought was the same jacket, which I had bought about 10 years ago, and in which the lining had peeled away around the neck. The old one was an XL, as is the new one, but the new one is cut smaller and just fits over shorts and a tee. I would need to reorder a 1X to be able to wear a sweater underneath. Also, the greenish color is kind of drab, unlike my old jacket. The new one is also about 8 inches shorter, so doesn't provide as much coverage from the rain. I am planning to return the new one and talk with customer service about ordering the longer version of the jacket, which has an elasticized or draw string waist, unlike my old one, which is straight. I'm disappointed and may try to nurse my old one along, despite the peeling lining. I'm glad I didn't toss it!

I got this to replace my Trail Model Rain jacket I bought in 2010, in Cobalt Blue - I loved that color!!! in Reg. Medium (they didn't come in petite in 2010). I got a Petite Large this time because people were saying it runs small and I'd say P-L is comparable to Reg Med. However, this jacket's body and sleeves are a bit long for me but I decided to keep it because I can wear a light sweater and feel comfy and I can just roll the sleeves up a bit and secure with the velcro. I love the Adobe orange altho' I would have preferred Cobalt Blue if it was available. Bring back the Cobalt Blue, please.

I usually have a hard time finding jackets that fit good because I have big hips/smaller waist so it limits me from wearing any jacket that is straight cut. My bust size is 36" but I ordered a size M to make sure I could zip it up over the hips. The jacket has shaping in the middle so there isn't bulk through the center. I got it in the nautical navy and it's a good neutral that goes with everything - looks flattering overall! The only thing I would remark on is that the sleeves were a little too long so this may be a problem for shorter women so stick to the petite size if you are on the fence.

If you are going to put a fleece under this raincoat you may have to order up to 2 sizes larger in order to have some arm movement. It is cut very tight. The feel of the coat is great and the color of the coat is great.

I ordered a size 2x which I usually wear. It was too small around the hips. The colors are not as vibrant as I would have liked. Quality is good and lightweight.

When I ordered this jacket, it was to replace the same model I bought two years ago that had begun to delaminate along the collar. The company said this was a known defect and that they would replace it. However, the new one, nice as it is, lacks the sewn in visor along the top edge of the hood that could be flipped back to keep the hood and rain out of my eyes. This is an unfortunate difference as I now have to hold the hood with one hand in the rain to keep it from falling over my eyes. Why remove such a useful feature?

My last rain jacket was bright pink, good visibility when dog walking. No bright colors offered now. I ordered large, after losing 20 lbs my xlg jacket was huge. The difference between large and xlg is dramatic. The length seems shorter and overall size runs small.

This lightweight raincoat is perfect in every way except the sleeves...they are so tight that I could only wear a thin short-sleeved tee underneath and I nearly froze to death! I should have heeded the other reviews saying the sleeves were too tight, but I really loved the look of this coat. You would think the designers would know that a woman who wears a 2X probably has fat arms! I'm going to keep it with the hope that I can lose enough weight for it to fit comfortably, but I must say I'm disappointed in the design. Great color though!

This jacket fits well. I'm very happy with the hood. Hoods on other jackets tend to cover too much of your face, so it's hard to see. This one does not do that. It's not very warm, so if it's a cold rain, you definitely want to have a warm shirt underneath it.
