I absolutely love this coat! I live in Vermont where the temps can go from above freezing to below zero all in the same week. I needed something I could wear in wet conditions, snow, and keep out the wind. It does all of that. I also have a hard time finding coats with long enough sleeves for me and this fits great. There are adjustments in the waist to help with shape which is nice because no one wants to look like a big puff ball when they wear a down coat

This is my first ever winter coat, I am originally from Las Vegas so I had to get advice when ordering a coat for my first MN winter. So far, I am loving this coat! It's very comfortable, slimming, and most importantly - WARM. I asked a sales rep for advice on sizing and mentioned I am going to layer underneath, I am usually a medium. She said to get a large. This coat is a little big in the tummy area for an hourglass shape, even with cinching, BUT I can imagine the extra bit of room will provide the necessary space for lots and lots of layers :) I also appreciate the double pockets. The first pocket is lined on one side, the second inside pocket is lined on both sides- great for cold hands. Overall EXTREMELY satisfied with this purchase and thinking about buying a second coat in green :)

I bought this jacket about a month ago and have only worn it a few times. I like the adjustable draw cord inside as it gives the longish jacket more shape. It probably runs a little big so I purchased the small. It seems warm, a bit longer than most jackets and fits well.

I am tall - 6ft, and I was concerned this coat wasn't a tall...BUT it fit great. Arms are just at my wrists (not the best length - would want a bit longer, but for a non tall coat a huge win). Agree with the other reviews; runs slightly big, but will be perfect for bulky sweaters under coat. LOVE the coat.

I never write reviews but felt compelled to share mine. I went to LL Beanstore intentioned to buy longer length "Winter Warner Jacket". The one I wanted was not in stock, I did not want to leave as always having to have it mailed to me. I saw this coat after being bummed out that I'd have to order, I put on and was in love. Feels like my down comforter as a coat. Perfect fit, sized down from XL to Lg. Love everything about it from the perfect length, not too long not too short. I have worn over the past couple days of 25 degree weather. Super warm, and many compliments from people! I strongly suggest this jacket. The thinner ones just don't seem warm compared to this gem. The 25% sale made the purchase easier too:)

Love this new coat! It is extremely warm!! It has little zippered pockets inside the regular pockets that are perfect for storing your gloves so they are always there when you need them. Fits great. Lots of room. I probably could have gotten an XL instead of 1X but I wanted plenty of room and don't like coats tight.

I have been looking into getting a parka for a while and I'm glad I decided on this one. It's very lightweight to wear but warm. Nice and soft and the waist sinch option is great if you want a more fitted look. Would highly recommend. Wore this morning in 27 degrees and wind and felt fine. Love!!

I ordered the PM. I am a curvy fit and this well made jacket fit comfortably with a shirt and light sweater. Sleeves were the right length and the metal jacket zippers were just fine. (Was pleased I did not have to wrestle with a plastic zipper that sticks and snags!) Pocket placement was good. Very happy with this jacket!

This jacket is very nicely made. Super warm and the material is fantastic! In Upstate NY the rain hasn't quite turned to snow and the jacket is waterproof. Only complaint the jacket does run big, I typically were a S and ordered an XS easily could have went with the XXS but loved it too much to send back.

A very attractive coat. Warm and very comfortable. Fits true to size. I couldn't be more pleased. This was my first LL Bean purchase and I will definitely return. I highly recommend this coat.

I was really happy with this purchase. LL Bean quality at it's best! I ordered this coat in kaki. Loved the color. The jacket length and fit was to size. I love the length and the fact that you can make the coat more fitted with the inside synch. The coat kept me warm and has a nice hood. This will be my "go to" coat in cold weather!

This is an awesome coat! It does run a little big but I would rather have room to layer underneath than have it tight across my bottom. Love the olive color, well made. I can always count on LL Bean for quality. I thought the price was really great on this coat too!

This arrived in the mail today, I'm eager to try it out in some cold weather! I typically wear an 18/20 in clothes and wasn't sure if I should size up to the 3x because I like to wear heavy or bulky sweaters and hoodies in the winter so I wanted something that would be comfortable if I layered up. I decided to try the 2x and it has plenty of room, I like the drawstring inside to cinch the waist some when not wearing layers. I also love the zippers inside the pockets. This coat is very stylish!

I wasn't sure about purchasing this because there weren't very many reviews. I bought this and the Ultrawarm 3/4 coat, both in XS. I'm about 5'2" and 120lb. The XS is a roomy fit, so it definitely runs big! I've worn this a few times in 30* weather with a thin layer underneath and it is plenty warm. I'm hoping it still is in colder temps. I don't know if it's possible for a puffy coat to be figure flattering, but this one comes closer than some others. It also doesn't feel heavy or bulky. Overall I'm happy. I like the dark blue color as well. The zipper is a little weird - it connects on the left side instead of the right (which I think is more typical). I hope I get used to it but it's a little awkward now. Sometimes I can zip it quickly but others I fumble. The pockets are double pockets with a smaller zipped pocket inside which is nice. The waist has an additional cinch inside.

I've been on the hunt for a few years trying to find a great winter coat that will keep me warm but not make me look like a giant marshmallow. I tried the "thin" puffer jackets from another well known company and was never impressed with the style. This coat does have a little "poof" to it but nothing that makes you frumpy and the sizing does run larger in my opinion. I'm usually an XS-S in most coats but I had to get an XXS to have a more flattering fit (but I can still layer underneath). The green is such a great color and will go with just about everything. I'm also 5'5" and the length is great as well. If you want a warm, non-frumpy winter coat, this is it! Highly recommend!

Pros: warm, comfortable, silver color is a nice change for the typical LLBean dark colors. Washes/dries well. Cons: Sleeves are short. No zipper guard - zipper rubs against chin. Side pockets: could be deeper and would prefer zipper closure instead of snaps.

Love this coat. Only complaint is the hood. It's huge and awkwardly shaped. Basically unusable..

This is a nice warm coat. BUT the snaps to cover the zipper can only be fastened bu holding the material beside the snap to affix the two pieces. Eventually this will cause wear near the snap I'm sure. AND I personally would prefer no snaps at the sleeves. I bought the coat for the warmth so I kept it. I wish I had tried a different one of your coats tho

I bought this coat a month ago and I love the coat. I bought a petite because I am 5'2" tall and the length is good. My only complaints are the smell. Don't know if it's the dye, the fabric, where it was stored before shipping. Hoping it will improve with washing. The sleeves are too tight to wear more than one long sleeve t-shirt underneath. There is no room for a sweater or sweatshirt to fit in the sleeves. Keep this in mind if arms are large. The great news is the coat is warm enough that I haven't needed more than a t-shirt weight shirt underneath. I would recommend this coat for comfort and warmth.

This jacket is very warm and I love that the wind does not penetrate the fabric. Great jacket for cold days. The only downside is the collar. It's stiff and not very warm. A padded collar would be better, but the hood is nice and helps keep you warm all over. I would definitely buy this jacket again.

Liked the coat, comfortable, warm. However, zipper is not smooth to operate, down feathers pop out of fabric, now and then.

Great jacket. I love the length and the removable hood. What I do not like are the snaps on the pockets that are hard to shut. It would have been better to have had zippers for the inner and outer pockets. I would definitely warn a friend about the snaps before recommending the jacket. I bought a Medium Petite size at the Mashpee, MA store.

Even though it was a very nice coat the down feathers were falling out in sections. I had no other choice but return it. However I did buy another style coat. It cost $70. more but I love it.

Very nice and warm coat. But the hood is disappointing. Too big and not adjustable enough for a small head. Wish I could tighten it from the middle back of hood.
