A very warm, well fitting coat. I possibly could have gotten a 2x but the 3x is roomy and comfortable. This coat is almost too warm for the warmer winters we are having in NYC, but it is a good coat.

I have been looking for a down parka to replaced an old one. This down parka fit the bill. I like down jackets with a front button. This keeps the wind out. Also the deep pockets keeps my gloves from falling out. The hood is detachable. The parka is fit to form, not too bulky and tight. I really enjoy this down parka. And with the LL Bean name it will last a long while for sure.

This jacket looks exactly like it does in the picture and it fits me very nicely. I would've fit into a medium, but got the large so that I could wear a sweatshirt or heavy sweater underneath it. The material is nice, it doesn't feel too puffy, the coat keeps me very warm (and i am someone who is always cold), and the hood is great (I have had coats that have hoods that are way too big and end up hanging over your face, blocking your vision), You an detach the hood if you'd like. The zipper is metal, which is very important. A lot of jackets have plastic zippers that don't work well and break easily. Overall, I am very happy with the jacket, and compared to other Ll Bean jackets, the price is more affordable without losing quality.

I had reservations about buying online because I couldn't try it on but I decided to take a chance and it was well worth it! I'm shorter (5ft) and carry most of my weight in my mid-section so I was going between two sizes (2x and 3x). Generally, my size varies from store to store and I was nervous about layering and thick sweaters in regards to zipping the coat. Ultimately, I bought this in a 2x and to my pleasant surprise, it fits perfectly! I have enough room for layers and to sit in the coat while zipped. The coat is very light weight but holds all the warmth so it truly is cozy even when it's brutally cold out and it dries wicked fast! I would 100% recommend this jacket and would purchase again!

My daughter tried the petite xxs. It was a touch tight and the sleeves were short. Reordered it in Misses xxs and bingo Prefect. Wanted black but it was sold out, she got the green is a nice olive color.

This coat is so comfortable-not bulky at all, plenty of room for sweaters/sweatshirts, and very toasty warm. I love that I could get it in Petite and I love the color-got the kelp green because Navy was sold out and I'm glad it was, however, if Navy L Petite would become available I would order that too because I have been looking for a winter coat that I loved for several years.

I live in Florida but grew up in New England and it has been a few years since owning a winter coat. After going home for Christmas, I can attest that this coat is as warm as they come for my New England turned Florida winter bones! The XS was large enough to fit a sweater underneath without compromising style and fit, so I definitely wouldn't recommend sizing up. It is constructed well and I feel as if I will enjoy this for years to come.

This coat is stylish and roomy. I have the green one love the color. I'm left handed so the zipper is definitely a plus for me. The hood is also great covers the whole head. I'm happy I purchased it. I'll be purchasing the blue also.

I am 62 5'6 170 lbs and the large in black fits perfect. Very warm, a bit bulky when driving, but once outside it keeps you nice and warm. Phila weather has been mild so far and I will get plenty of use out of this coat once winter hits. Would like to see LL Bean offer this coat longer to the knee. However the length is good covers below the thighs.

If you want a reliable and effective snow coat, buy this one. I think it's expensive for my budget but I just used it in Iceland. Iceland wasn't that cold but the coat still kept me warm, protected me from the wind, and kept me dry from the rain. I will now wear it here for the colder winter days in New Jersey.

I love everything about this coat. Its warm and not bulky. Often i cannot keep a coat on while driving because it is uncomfortable to do so. It is great for below zero weather and is waterproof. Our climate gets very cold in northern NY and can rain as well in the winter. I keep getting complements on it which is a nice bonus. Im glad I made the purchase through LLBean because I know they will stand behind the product.

I LOVE this jacket! It has separate zippered pockets inside the regular pockets and also has outside the pocket snaps. There are also snaps on the outside of the zipper closure in the front of the jacket to keep cold air from slipping in through the zipper and also has adjustable wrist snaps. I really like the hood and you can adjust it too. The jacket just has so many great features. I first ordered my normal size L regular and it did fit without a bunch of layers but I returned it for an extra large regular. I am an extremely cold natured person and I wanted LOTS of extra room for all the layers (long johns, heavy fleece, LLBean river driver shirts, etc.) that I might wear when the temperatures are frigid. Otherwise, the L would have been fine. Wow, you should see the zipper on this jacket! It is a double direction zipper (which I probably won't make use of) but it is heavy duty!! I'm sure there will be no complaints about an inadequate zipper!! I love this jacket and highly recommend it. Thanks LLBean for another fantastic product!!

I recently received this coat and have been wearing it this past week (the temp has been pretty low in NY recently). It's warm, comfy and shields the wind well. The quality and stitch work of this jacket is great! I like it so far.

Wife loves the jacket. Toasty and lightweight. Wife is happy then I'm happy.

Will be my go-to coat. Much warmer than I thought it would be (for Wisconsin winters). And I believe I'll be able to wear it for outdoor sports and for casual times with dresses/skirts. My only problem is with the zipper. It doesn't zip very well. Might send it back and request another coat unless it starts getting better. It's difficult to get the zipper started.

I used to have the Maine Warden's parka years ago and it was one of the warmest jackets that I owned. This jacket is so toasty and very lightweight. Also the hood fits just right. Love the "double pockets" that allows me to zip up keys or gloves while allowing me to also have room to put my hands in. Love this jacket!

I usually never write reviews but this coat was such a great investment for me. Being a broke college student in Central Pennsylvania, I needed a coat that would look good, feel light and be a little easy on the wallet! This coat provides all that and more. It instantly warms me up against the cold here (it's only mid December now but so far it's holding up) and has tons of pockets for storage space. I do feel like the hood is a little too big for me, but I may have not figured out how to use it properly yet too. I bought this during a sale for 134 USD and let me tell you it's been money well spent! I purchased the nautical navy color and I think it suits my olive undertones and black hair. I've gotten a ton of compliments for it too! I would highly recommend it!

This was a gift for my 86 year old mother. She's a size 10, the Small fit her perfectly, and the blue color is beautiful. The length is great as she likes a jacket to cover her bottom. I almost didn't order it due to negative reviews regarding the zipper. I decided to take a chance, hoping the issue had been resolved, and I'm so glad I did - the zipper works just fine! Most importantly, she loves it!!

Adore this coat and will be wearing it for years!!! The Navy blue is a classic color that will never go out of style. I wear it open a lot because I'm always in and out of my vehicle during the day. It is stylish and fits me perfect. Although I am short, I have a "regular" size torso and arms. I tried the petite in a medium at first and that was too short between the shoulders and waste for my body's. The regular in a Medium fits perfect. I can wear a sweatshirt underneath with plenty of room to manoeuvre. Highly recommend! I live in Northern NY and this will absolutely be warm enough through the winter.

This is a perfect winter coat. It's light but very warm. So pleased with my purchase!

Wearing this is like walking around in a cozy, cold-defying down comforter. At the same time, the fabric is so rugged that I don't have to worry about tears. It's handsome, too - I think that the catalog photo doesn't do it justice! I also appreciated the fact that the LL Bean logo was on a piece of fabric that I could remove, as I don't like serving as a walking advertisement. As for sizing, the petite size gave me the shorter sleeve length that I want, and though for most clothes I order Medium, in this case Large was a good choice as it allows room for the thick sweaters I need to wear in the winter, as the homes I visit are often chilly.

I usually don't write reviews, but I'm so impressed with the quality I feel I need to write this. I bought this coat two months ago For my wife. It's the best coat She ever had. She is 5'2"118 pounds I ordered the medium Pettit. Fits her perfectly, super warm. I recommend this for anyone that needs a high quality and warm coat. By the way I also ordered one for myself, I left a review for the men's one.
