I initially ordered a small, but it was much too big which was surprising. I exchanged it for an xs, and it fit perfectly. The length is great, and its very warm. I LOVE the pockets. They are at just the right height and position, and I love that I can zip things inside them and have an extra pocket within the pocket to use as well. The hood it not too tight or too loose. The pocket at chest height is just perfect for my phone. I look forward to walks in the cold now, just because of this coat!

I like the color, the weight of the coat and the warmth of it. I put the coat to a test today at 21 degrees Farenheit in NYC. I was warm to my surprise. I would buy this again and I would recommend it. The large was a bit big on me but then again, I can use the extra space for a sweater if I want to.

This coat is extremely warm and light-weight. Very roomy, and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

This coat was just what I wanted! A very warm puffy jacket that falls to my upper thigh, with a hood for when it gets windy. This is truly the warmest jacket I have worn, and has thus far been perfect for temperatures in the single digits. I have very broad shoulders, so it's a bit tight in the shoulder if I have multiple layers underneath, but otherwise the small fits me well. I don't know that it's "high fashion" but it looks like I expected it to and I'm glad I got the black.

I have been searching for a new winter jacket for some time. This jacket provides great warmth without feeling too bulky. I love how many pockets it has, that the hood is removable, and how you can pull in the waist. Highly recommend!

I have never been more happy with a winter coat purchase!! This jacket is so warm, functional and didn't break the bank! I was between getting a petite or regular small but ended up going regular. The only down side is the outside pockets are a little further down (I'm 5'1) but otherwise fits perfect! There's room to wear layers but not too bulky. Plus you can tighten the jacket from the inside. I will say the sleeves fit perfect for me, so anyone with larger arms might need to go up a size. I HIGHLY recommend! Also shipping was super quick which is hard to come by these days.

This coat is fabulous! I originally ordered a medium. Then I remembered the last year of my Covid-19 extra padding, returned, and ordered a large. I love the color and the retro vibe this gives me. Definitely a keeper for years to come!

My favorite of my winter coats- warmest, most comfortable, easiest to move in. I like the kelp green color, blending in with nature, and the soft feel of the fabric. I like that it doesn't have fur around the hood. I like the shorter length, less restrictive when walking dogs or driving. I don't mind winter weather when I am wearing this parka.

I love this jacket! It is so warm when I go out to walk the dog. No matter how cold and windy it can get in a New England winter, this jacket keeps me warm and blocks the wind. Excellent quality! I love the double pockets.

This coat is very warm and waterproof. I love the hood and the coat length is perfect. It's a very comfortable fit.

I bought this as a gift for my petite mom and she loves it. Fitted enough to be flattering but also full rear coverage for warmth. She was so pleased with the fit and the fact that it is not overly bulky.

I bought a Bean down jacket in a size small in December which I like only it's not good for heavy layering so I ordered the down coat. The size medium is perfect for heavy layers, dog walking! Nice cut, tailoring, color and style. If you live somewhere with cold winters a down fill is essential.

I love this parka! It fits perfectly and although it appears to be a bit fitted, it is actually roomy enough for a sweater. I highly recommend it!

I am so happy with this coat. It is very warm and it's not too puffy to drive with on. The color or gorgeous.

My husband bought me this coat for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Here are the pros: Hood fits around the head and has a draw cord to fit snug It has a heavy duty zipper which zips all the way up the coat and around the neck The neck part also has snaps The 2 side pockets have a zippered pocket as well as a normal pocket. The normal pocket also snaps to close them When I put my hands inside the pockets, they are instantly warm. It feels like a soft flannel which isn't cold to the touch The wrists have 2 snap sizes. I use the snugger one to keep cold air from going up my arm It also has a zippered pocket on the inside of the left breast area I went for a walk one day and it was 28 degrees out and I actually got a little warm. It's a super warm coat It also has a cinch waste that has a draw cord The fit was perfect for me, but I like my clothes to fit a little loosely. It's an XL and I can still wear a sweatshirt underneath and it not feel tight. The only con I have are the snaps running up and down the zipper. I feel they could be a little more heavy duty and sometimes it's hard to snap, but I would still buy the coat with this con. Hope this helps!

Fit, warmth, comfort - all just great - and I particularly like the little zipper pocket inside the left hand pocket for keys or whatever.

This is the warmest coat that I ever bought. I needed a warm coat for walking in the winter and this one is perfect. So far, I have walked when the temperature was 28 degrees and windy, and I never felt cold. It is comfortable and there are adjustments that can be made on the wrists, waist and hood. The only small issue would be that the hood over-covers the head and face, making it hard to see at times.

The jacket is very good with sizing, style, and warmth. I am however disappointed in the side pockets. It is difficult to put anything in the inside zippered pocket and the main side pockets are too shallow. Very disappointed in the pockets. If you are like me and carry a phone, keys, tissues, glasses in your pocket, the pockets don't work!

I live in New York City area suburbs and have been wearing LL Bean outwear for most of my life and this jacket is a great addition to my collection. It's lightweight yet sturdy, and has the right amount of coverage for warmth against wind and blowing snow.The zipper goes up to your neck area and there's still room to wear a scarf underneath the jacket. I was hesitant about ordering the Medium because LL Bean jackets tend to run somewhat big (I sized down for my Baxter State Parka,) however the Medium in this coat is perfect. I adjusted the interior waist drawstrings to cinch in the middle and snapped the cuffs closed which are adjustable to accomodate what you're wearing underneath. The jacket has the right amount of puffiness and the fill holds its shape. The length is great too. It's not too long yet long enough to cover your seat area and top of thighs for warmth when walking dog or in a cold car. Removable hood is a plus that snaps on / off easily. I ordered the green color which is a nice change from black jackets. LL Bean gifts are always a hit - well done LL Bean!

this coat is lightweight, warm (I just wore it in New Hampshire snow tubing) and walking for. hours in wind and snow, fits perfectly, has wonderful inner zipped pocket as well as zipped pockets in the front, has wonderful space for my hips as it's a long coat, has both zipper and snaps option in front, hood fits perfectly and also has room for a hat underneath, everyone has been cold around me but I've been quite warm! also has room for a fleece or sweater underneath...AND it was affordable and attractive! I couldn't have asked for a better coat!

This is my 2nd parka. I love that it keeps you very warm but at the same time light in weight. It's a perfect fit. I bought the burgundy which is a beautiful color.

Live this jacket. Warm and cozy. Spilled meatballs on it and it washed away perfectly. Very happy with this.

i went a size smaller than i normally wear after reading reviews. i am glad i did. the xxs is loose enough that i can wear multiple layers underneath, and there is a cord to cinch it tighter. my only wish is that the arm length was a bit longer. i am very slim (30" chest)but long limbed so i had to choose between too bulky with a good arm length or a decent torso fit with somewhat shorter sleeves. that said, the sleeves still fit, i just prefer something longer. the coat itself is well made. the hood cinches perfectly to my face so it does not slide down or allow a draft to my ears. the pockets are big enough to fit my bulky gloves. i was astonishingly warm on a frigid, windy vermont day. love it!
