A very thoughtfully designed parka. I love it! It's lightweight, very warm, attractive, and functional. The pockets are amazing! Behind each hand warmer pocket is a zippered pocket. Hello pockets! Also has an inside zippered chest pocket. Comfortable inside waist drawcord. A high quality two-way zipper with snap placket gives you options. Back length covers my bottom. Has a good fitting insulated adjustable hood. It's so soft, lightweight, and cuddly. What's not to love?

I have been looking for just the right parka to replace my 11-year old LL Bean that has seen a lot of wear (but will remain in use as my "chore coat") and the Mountain Classic is spot on! It is impressively warm on the coldest winter hikes. I love that the hood is detachable because I rarely use a hood, preferring my hat. The interior chest pocket is the perfect spot for my phone and minimalist ID wallet. I also found the interior side zipper pockets excellent for securing my car keys and not worrying about them. On top of that side zippered pocket, there is still a place for my hands and hand-warmers if/when my gloves aren't cutting it. I will mention that, unlike some reviewers, I found the side pockets perfectly placed for my hands. Perhaps the difference is due to different statures. I'm 5'7" and I'm shorter in the torso but with long arms and legs. Therefore, I bought a large. I selected the color called burgundy and it is a beautiful bordeaux, somewhat darker than shown on my computer screen and I like the color a lot. I used the interior draw cord to nip the waist in just a bit for a more feminine silhouette. Great coat. Highly satisfied with my purchase.

This coat is perfect for Kentucky/Ohio winters. I was surprised how warm it is for being a relatively thin puffer. I'm 5'2 and ordered a petite.

5'4 @180 lbs apple shaped. Purchased an Xl in regular. Thought I'd get that out there first, which I find important. The fit is comfortable enough to fit a hoodie underneath if I wanted too. Sleeves are great, not too long ugh.. They are adjustable at the wrists, love it. The waist is cinchable which lessens the apple. It has kept me warm though I've only had it a few weeks. I live in NJ. With a hoodie underneath I think it's warm enough even on the coldest NJ days. I can't speak for those very northern states. Let's talk comfort. Well this is the most cozy winter coat I've ever owned. It's also the absolute first of this style that I've tried on that I can actually keep. This means I'm picky.. It doesn't poke me in the face or chin like many of these styles do as they are often stiff. There's nothing stiff about this coat. As far as looks well I'm chunky so I'm not going to look amazing lol however considering my apple shape again it fits very well. Very happy with my first puffy coat. I might just buy another! Purchased in Black.

Very comfortable, roomy, warm coat in the perfect length for winter. Lots of nice pockets for all your things. I have no problem with the zipper. The hood is fine too, and great for an extra layer when it's really cold. Perfect casual coat for long winter walks.

Love ! Comfortable fit, pretty color. I'm 5'1", curvy and 170, I got a large petite and it fits great, just slightly oversized so that I can wear thick clothes under it.

This is a warm winter coat! It is the perfect length and fits well. The hood is remarkable, not too big and just fits right around my head. I love love love this coat! The green color is perfect as well! I usually take a regular extra large but for some reason this coat felt snug around the chest so I sent it back and re-ordered a 1X. The fit is now perfect!

Bought this coat for walking my dog on those bitter cold winter days & nights. It is perfect. This coat has kept me nice and warm in 0 temps.The cinch waist gives this coat a great fit. Very happy with this purchase.

This is the best coat I've purchased! Warm and cozy- perfect for New England winters. The pockets could be placed a couple inches higher, but that's more my short arms than a fault of the coat. :)

This parka is warm and keeps the wind out! I've been wearing it nonstop since it arrived. The fit is great for layering, I can wear a sweater underneath and not feel bunchy. The only (small) downside are the pockets. They feel small and if you don't snap them things may fall out.

This coat is polished enough to wear to work, and hearty enough to wear to feed chickens and goats.

Love everything about this coat! So warm and not super bulky. Gorgeous blue color. The hood actually stays on my head. Highly recommend!

This jacket is amazing! I live in the north east and walk a little over a mile. This jacket keeps me so warm even in freezing temps. I love the green color and the option to bring in the waistline. Highly recommend

My previous winter coat (not from LL Bean) lasted me several years but the zipper broke in the middle of January in New England, so I needed a new coat fast! I own pretty much this exact coat as a vest which I love, so I decided to purchase this coat and I am so glad I did. It delivered super fast (even faster than originally estimated) and it is just what I needed. No fuss or frills just a warm coat that goes with any look.

I absolutely love this coat! It's the first winter coat I have ever owned that fits me perfectly. I am so glad LL Bean sells petite coats...the arm length is perfect. This coat is not real warm in below freezing temperatures. I plan to purchase a warmer coat for those cold days.

I'm 5'3" and weigh 140 lbs and I bought a size medium and it fits perfectly. Nice and roomy but not too big. Warm down coat. It's been in the single digits here and I've had no issues. No problem with zipper but it also has snaps. I also like that the inside of the pockets have hidden zippers if you need to store money etc.. if you're not taking your purse. Great feature.

I love this jacket! It's the perfect coat for our cold and rainy days here in the PNW. It's puffy and warm without being enormous as some down jackets are. The cut is very flattering and snug, but I can still layer things underneath it. The color is so lovely- I've gotten so many compliments on it. The materials are high quality. Can't recommend this coat enough! Feels like wearing a nice warm hug.

Bought this for my wife. Very warm coat. Perfect for 20 and below temps in the North East. Double pocket is a handy feature to keep valuables safe. Defined waist gives nice shape. Great green color, pairs well with LL. Bean boots. Only suggestion would be some soft lining around the shoulder/neck area since the fabric is cool against your skin.
