Great fit, very warm, love this coat! Would definitely buy again

Very good

This is my second jacket. I purchased a second one because I am washing them so often. Warm, but seems to "breathe". Long story, try to make it short. My husband passed away in July and I have full responsibility of 4 horses and his pet buffalo in the barn. We had the coldest January here in 30 years! Lots of damage with the wind, and wet tree roots (this is the northwest). I wore cleated shoes to walk to the barn (I only fell down once). Anyway, this coat was a lifesaver-kept me warm and dry (water was a BIG problem). Best coat I have owned. By the way, I am 71 years young!

I'm 5'2 so the petite was the perfect cut. Highly recommend. The pockets are a little shallow but my iphone13 does fit and zip

I love this coat. It is the perfect weight and length.

Love my new coat. Really wanted a coat with a hood and this one is detachable. Navy is a nice color and lots of pockets including an extra zip pocket in the hand pockets. The coat comes right below my but so not too long.

After many hours of pondering, I finally decided on this parka in Navy. I was on the fence between the Kelp and the Navy but went with Navy. I thought it would be a nice contrast to most of my wardrobe and it is. Navy also looks great with black boots. It's a really nice shade, more of a dark denim navy and not overly bright. Now onto the size. After reading many reviews, I went with a medium. For reference, I'm 5' 6" 158lbs with a regular build and average bust. It fits perfectly with a little room to spare. A large would have been way too big. LL. Bean seems to be more generous in sizing which is nice. I have fairly long arms and the sleeves have plenty of length. There are a lot of complaints about the pockets. I'm not sure why. To me they are fine with a hidden inside zippered pocket as well that my fairly large phone fits in perfectly. Overall, I love this coat. You can see the quality. It's soft, warm and cozy. I hope this helps.

I love this coat! It is so warm. I do agree with others that the pockets could be larger.

Loved the shape as well as warmth of the coat. The pocket does have a zip option as well as a button. My iphone fits in there just fine. Sleeve length is great for a petite 4'11" woman. Thank you LL Bean for including petite women sizes in your lines.

Thia was a gift for my wife for Christmas. She says it a warm coat. She just wishes that it had a fur trimmed hood.

This replaced another down jacket that wore out on me because I had it forever. The parka is very warm and comfortable. I'm 5'3" and 150 lbs. I bought size large to add room for layering. I like both the front zipper and metal snaps. I agree with others that the zipper could be improved. For those complaining about the pockets, there are zippered pockets inside the side pockets that will keep your valuables from falling out.

Toasty warm in the coldest weather but not too hot in milder winter weather. Good fit.

Love my Kelp Green parka. Super light and warm! The only wish is that the jacket had more pockets inside and had zippered pockets outside. Other than that, this is a great parka I got with a huge markdown. I am 5'5" with an average body shape. Regular medium was a perfect size.

Good for walking my dog in cold and/or wet weather. Size small fits well. My last Bean down jacket was size xs, but that was back when my 5' frame only had to carry 110 lbs. The hood fits nicely without getting in the way. I appreciate the inner drawstring at the waist and the fact that the pockets have two separate sections. If you only buy one coat for winter you'll be glad you got this one.

Snug as a bug, warm and good fit! Great winter wear

I've had this coat for a few weeks now and it's been great with the cold snap in the single digits and snow we've had. It's slightly fitted so I couldn't wear like a fisherman's sweater under it, but I did have on a thinner wool sweater over a long sleeve tee so you can still adequately bundle up. Also for those complaining about the lack of pockets or shallow pockets apparently didn't discover the second pocket inside the outer snap pocket. There's a pull string there to open the zipper to another inner pocket and my small wallet and large cell phone fit comfortably inside each.

Super warm and comfy. I love that the pockets are lined with fleece and have zippers inside. The outer pockets are just snaps. In love the length and how you can tighten it around your waist. This jacket isn't heavy yet it's very warm. I don't feel weighed down when wearing it which is always a plus.

Lightweight and very comfortable. Wish the arms were a bit longer or had more of a cuff inside to help my hands/ wrists feel a bit more protected. Exchanged a XS for a S in hopes sleeves were a bit longer on the small. Ended up only a smidge different, but decided I love the fit so much I'd just roll with it.

With single-digit temperatures moving in I needed a coat that was up to the challenge and this one delivers! It's warm without being heavy and I can't find a single thing I don't like about it. The petite fit is perfect.

Very nice coat, lightweight, warm, and comfortable. Not sure how it will do below zero. Even though I find the color a bit boring, I have gotten several compliments on the coat. The zipper seems to be good quality, and I especially like it that the alternate closures are snaps, not velcro.

Very pleased. Much warmed than my previous coat. My only suggestion would be to deepen the front pockets, so that you don't have to worry about your gloves falling out.
